Hey guys, this is my first RMT. I've Wifi OU forever but I just recently started playing Wifi Ubers and find it really fun. Here I've presented my team and look for constructive criticism.

One thing you should know is that I really love Choice Specs Kyogre and that is the one Pokemon that I refuse to change (including Hydro Pump). I also realize that there are many things that most teams have that my team doesn't (hazards, rapid spinner, dragons...etc.). Nevertheless, this team has done pretty damn well against teams that have all of those mentioned components. But of course, I am open to any other suggestions.

Shaymin-S @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Seed Flare
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Shaymin-S is the best Anti-Lead ever. With a Choice Scarf, it outspeeds every common lead, including the ever annoying Deoxys-S, Deoxys-A, and (Scarf) Darkrai. Because Scarfmin leads are relatively uncommon, Serene Grace lets me flinchhax these frail leads to death with Air Slash (Deoxys-A leads usually don't Extremespeed until after the first Air Slash hits). Shaymin-S also acts as a nifty Mewtwo revenge killer since most people don't expect to be outsped. Many other leads and switch-ins can get flinchaxed to death, or at the very least, take some serious damage. It reeks of noob, but it works.

To be completely honest, the other moves are rarely used. Seed Flare comes in handy when I am at low health and want to sacrifice Shaymin-S and aim for the 60% change of a Special Defense drop. In addition, Seed Flare can do VERY significant damage to both Groudon and Kyogre. Earth Power can do about 50-60% to Dialga and even more to Zekrom. Hidden Power Ice helps nag OHKO's on Rayquaza and put a dent on other Dragons.

Mewtwo @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Psystrike
- Aura Sphere
- Ice Beam

Mewtwo. The biggest badass in Pokemon. No joke, every time my opponent switches in a Mewtwo, my heart beats faster. This is just a normal LO set with Calm Mind boosting SpA, Psystrike providing STAB and mixed capabilities, and Aura Sphere and Ice Beam working for coverage in Ubers.

Unfortunately, I'm not nearly as intimidating when I use my own Mewtwo. Perhaps it's my playing style but Mewtwo never seems to last long. Nevertheless, Mewtwo works wonders against teams that don't have (or no longer have) faster sweepers or fully intact walls.
Arceus_Normal_Type_by_Xous54.png

Arceus @ Silk Scarf
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- ExtremeSpeed
- Earthquake
- Shadow Claw
I've tried all kinds of Arceus forms, Ghost, Ground, Grass, Dark, Dragon, Water, Steel, Ice, and even Poison (which is a great niche Toxic Spikes remover btw :D) but the ExtremeKiller set will always be the best Arceus ever. Everyone knows this set so I won't elaborate on it.

Arceus usually ends up being my revenge-killer, wallbreaker, and late game sweeper. It usually switches off with Kyogre as the MVP of my team. Swords Dance + Extreme Speed. Enough said, right? I've considered (and tried) Shadow Force, but (for no particular reason) I've never made the change permanent.
Traditional_Chansey_by_CrystaltheEchidna.jpg

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Hardy Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Heal Bell
- Seismic Toss
Chansey. The biggest bastard in Ubers. I chose the EV's because I find the ability to be a mixed wall incredibly valuable. Even without only 4 EV's in HP, Wish still heals a LOT of HP and lets me pass the HP to my other teammates, particularly Kyogre, keeping his Water Spout at full power even if there are Stealth Rocks and layers of Spikes on the field. Heal Bell is a blessing since my team absolutely HATES status. Seismic Toss lets me be more than useless when Taunted and also helps weaken stupid Palkia, Dialga, and Kyogre that try to weaken Chansey.

I've tried Toxic and Thunder-Wave, but with my current team, I feel like Heal Bell is the best fit. However, I'm open to recommendations as to what to change with Chansey. Maybe the EV's could be changed or Softboiled added.
groudon_by_abusorugia-d4m0rae.png

Groudon @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Roar
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
Groudon might seem like an odd choice since I have a Kyogre, but honestly it's bulk and it's typing makes it an awesome complement to Kyogre. However, the lack of recovery is quite disappointing since I now have to rely on Chansey to keep it healthy. But it's a nice Thunder absorber and Physical wall and is my only real Extreme-Killer and Zekrom counter.

EQ is a given for STAB. Thunder-Wave is always useful since SpecsKyogre really loves paralysis support. I chose Roar over Dragon Tail because sometimes I got really annoyed that I couldn't phaze something behind a Substitute, something that I can do with Roar. Stone Edge is rarely used but it's useful against Ho-oh. However, Burn is really annoying on this Groudon which is again why Chansey's Heal Bell is so useful.
Realistic_Kyogre_by_Leashe.jpg

Kyogre @ Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Water Spout
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunder

Bow down to the God of Ubers (screw Arceus..). SpecsKyogre is the SINGLE MOST POWERFUL pokemon in the game. Water Spout (at full health) + Rain + STAB = utter devastation. I love being able to 2HKO everything including Chansey, Blissey, Ferrothorn, other Kyogres...etc. I choose to run Hydro Pump instead of Surf just because it's so powerful with the rain and is a nice move to have when not at full health. Water Spout always kills any kind of Groudon, even in the sun. SpecsKyogre at (near) full health also always beats ScarfKyogre one-on-one: you survive the Thunder and OHKO back with your own. Ice Beam doesn't get much usage unless I'm up against a paralyzed dragon.

I usually do my best to keep this thing alive with Chansey. Para support from Groudon really helps this thing sweep late game. Personally, I love the feeling when I switch Kyogre into a non-attack and watch as my opponent is forced to either stay in and die, or switch out and take a massive hit. Perhaps I'm a sadist? Whatever. It's Pokemon.

Hi there!

Your team is quite interesting, given that you have Kyogre and Groudon on the same team. However, with Rayquaza and ExtremeKiller Arceus running around, I think you should drop a few Pokemon. For starters, I think you should place Ferrothorn over Groudon. You currently lack two things: Entry Hazards and a Dragon and Arceus resist. Ferrothorn is a great wall and it counters Kyogre very well. Here is the set:

598.gif

Ferrothorn-Iron Barbs
252 HP/ 88 Def./ 168 Sp. Def.
Nature: Relaxed Item: Leftovers
Spikes/Stealth Rock
Leech Seed
Protect/Thunder Wave
Gyro Ball/Power Whip

Also, you may have issues with rampaging Dragons that you have to revenge kill so I suggest removing Shaymin-S OR Mewtwo for Choice Scarf Palkia. Palkia is invaluble because he removes many speedy threats such as Mewtwo and +1 Reshiram that Shaymin-S won't be able to handle. Here is the set:

484.gif

Palkia-Pressure
4 Att. /252 Sp. Att./ 252 Speed
Nature: Hasty Item: Choice Scarf
Spacial Rend/Draco Meteor
Surf/Hydro Pump
Thunder
Outrage

Other than that, your team appears extremely solid! Just upload a little description for Kyogre and your set :D! I hope I helped! Good Luck!

well considering u already run hydro pump on ur kyogre, theres not much point in using water spout because as soon as ur health drops below 80% hydro pump becomes better (a layer of spikes and rocks) hydro pump (modest) will still 2hko chansey and a seismic toss wont affect damage output.

anyway with that being said i suggest using hp grass instead (30 atk, 30 spa). It comes with the great bonus of being able to ohko gastrodon the bane of kyogre. Most teams which use gastro are very weak to kyogre so once hes gone victory should be much simpler (especially against sand teams).
I also suggest timid over modest on kyogre just to tie with other base 90's who dont use choice scarf.

Yaysnivy has the main change you need covered: no dragon resist in Ubers is suicide. However, I'd make a slight alteration to his suggested set:

598.gif

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed/Spikes/Toxic

Ok, so the reason it's all Defence is that you have a brilliant Special Sponge in Chansey. Stealth Rock is vital over spikes, for reasons I'll explain later. Also, this team is just begging to have paralysis support: you have an immensely powerful sweeper at the heart of your team, but one that could be outsped and OHKO'd easily. Not so if your opponent's mons are paralysed. Power Whip is a good STAB and the last slot is up to you.

I'd add this in place of Groudon, who doesn't benefit your team at all.

Now, this makes your team a little more fighting weak, which isn't a huge problem, but it could come back to haunt you. What's more, you said that Mewtwo wasn't performing as well. Although Mewtwo does resist fighting, it's not bulky by ubers standards. Therefore, I suggest adding in Giratina. This also gives you a great defensive core, and better protection against ExtremeKiller Arceus.

Set:
487.gif

Giratina @ Leftovers
Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish
- Will-o-wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Dragon Tail

Standard "Great Wall" and it does exactly what it says on the tin. However, since you have a wish passer, you might be able to get away with something other than RestTalk, but that's for testing.

Now for some minor changes to Arceus:

Lum Berry > Silk Scarf. Lum Berry gives you a way of handling Giratinas and continuing with your sweep, along with a one-time shield against T-spikes. Now that you have SR on your team, that will edge pokemon like Reshiram into the OHKO range at +2 without the need for a silk scarf.

Brick Break > Earthquake. Brick Break simply gives you loads more coverage, allowing you to hit stuff like Ferrothorn.

Use an EV spread of 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spd. This will allow you to still outspeed Base 90s at +1 or with a Scarf, and give you more bulk, allowing you to get a SD in easier. Alternatively, you could bump up the Speed EVs so it outspeeds +1 Base 95s. The only use for this, however, is being able to Extremespeed +1 Rayquaza before it does the same to you. Your choice.

----

At this point, I don't like to alter your team further, but it may be worth thinking about a Spinner at some point, Rain Stall is very popular nowadays.

TL;DR Version
Just read the damn thing!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

To be completely honest, I never really found the lack of a Dragon resist to be a major problem. Zekrom and Rayquaza was handled pretty well by Groudon (phazed and/or paralyzed, if not straight up killed with EQ/SE) whereas Reshiram couldn't really do anything to me when it was raining thanks to Chansey. Palkia and most Dialga sets were walled pretty hard by Blissey whereas the physical Dialga sets were handled pretty well by Groudon.

Either way, I agree that I probably needed a Ferrothorn although I am still confused as to which set I should be using. Stealth Rock is my choice for hazards but I'm not sure if I really need Power Whip or if I should just run the annoying T-wave/Leech Seed/Protect set. I'll be testing different sets and EV spreads out for this.

@Psycho-Cut - Thanks for the Arceus suggestion. SR support really has made up for the lack of a Silk Scarf and the Lum Berry has also helped me net in a few extra kills (and even a few more SD's). I do however notice the power difference between the Brick Break and the EQ.

Moreover, I really like the concept of the Giratina on the team but to be completely honest, I absolutely hate the Great Wall set. Yes, the Will-O-Wisp comes in handy but Dragon Tail sucks. My team is EXTREMELY weak to CM Kyogre. I thought that I could just bring in Giratina and Dragon Tail it away but Dragon Tail doesn't even break the sub. Also, I don't really find much need for RestTalk. I also hate that since Mewtwo is gone, I am left without only 3 pokemon that are capable of attacking, which really isn't my style at all.

Are there any other options for Giratina? Or perhaps a Giratina-O?

This team is really just a mishmash of Pokemon with no focus on offensive or defensive synergy.

Quite honestly there is too much to attempt to fix here without redoing the entire team:

no Stealth Rock

no Dragon Resist

no Scarfer (over-reliance on Ekiller to revenge boosting sweepers).

extremely Toxic Spikes / Spikes weak.

I'd suggest consulting the Ubers Threatlist and working on teambuilding by selecting a core and building from there. One can refer to some existing Ubers RMTs (I'd probably recommend trickroom's many) to look at it to get a better idea of team synergy).

Good luck.

I'm really new to the Uber metagame, but right away I see that your team would benefit greatly from a rapid spinner. I'm thinking of Tentacruel since not only does it spin the SR that Shaymin-S is weak too as well as all forms of entry hazards that serve to weaken Kyogre (and its water spout), but it also removes toxic spikes which would otherwise cut Mewtwo and Arceus' sweeps short. Just my two cents, although I'm not sure what pokemon should be replaced.
