Weatherless B/W2 OU team (Rank 56 and Rising)

Hello Smogonites, and welcome to my RMT! This team is a pokemon Black2/White2 team trying out some of the newly realeased pokemon, abilitys, and moves. After playing around with it for a little bit it got a lot of success. I’m still tweaking it here and there, but so far it has peaked rank 56 on Pokemon Online. So without further ado let’s get to the team.

RageQuit (Deoxys-D) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Magic Coat

Deoxys-D is the only support pokemon on this team. He has a very important job. That job is to set up all the hazard, and prevent my opponent from setting up anything. Thanks to Magic Coat I can bounce back Spore when my opponent tries to lead with Breloom. Also if I fear a taunt I can bounce that back as well, often crippling the opposing pokes. Thanks to his amazing defensive stats it’s pretty easy to set up all the hazards without him even dying. If that’s the case I can use him later on to draw in a dark type move to get the justified boost with Lucario or maybe force the opponent to lock a choiced poke in a resisted move so I can set-up. Over all Deoxys does a great job of supporting the team, and gets the job done well.

Blue_Star (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Recover

Ah, Latios…Latios is one of the most effective sweepers in the game, and with Keldeo on the rise he finds room on a lot of my teams. With Draco Meteor he can do a huge amount of damage to just about anything. Although Psyshock is the main reason I use him. With Psyshock he can deal with Keldeo, Blissey, and most importantly Tentacruel who is only good counter to my two main sweepers. With Surf I am able to OHKO Gliscor who walls my Lucario. Really Latios can remove all of the threats to my Sweepers making the game much easier. I run Recover over HP[FIRE] to get that extra speed needed to win speed ties; as well as [/FONT]
the enabling it to recover off LO + Sand Storm damage when people try to stall me out I can burst their bubble.

MyLil'Pony (Keldeo) @ Leftovers
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Dark]

I’ll admit the first time I saw Keldeo I laughed and thought it looked pathetic, and saw the stats and thought it didn’t quite have the bulk or speed to be effective as a calm mind set. Obviously I was dead wrong. Keldeo is probably the most effective calm mind user in the game thanks to it’s fantastic dual STAB and the move Secret Sword making Blissey useless. Although there are no sets out yet calm mind is pretty standard. I usually see people running HP[Electric] but I choose HP[Dark] for perfect coverage. With HP[Dark] I can now nail Jelicent, Celebi, and the Lati-Twins without Psyshock.

Dragoon (Dragonite) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- ExtremeSpeed
- Earthquake
- Superpower

Dragonite is a monster! I first used the Para-Shuffler set to get extra entry hazards damage, but I later found that it was more effective to just use that power ExtremeSpeed to pick off frail sweepers after getting raped by hazards, or ripping through Bulkier pokes with a Choice Banded Outrage. On top of that Dragonite now gets to have superpower along with his excellent ability, with superpower I am able to always OHKO Ferrothorn even if they’re in rain. It also means that he can do more damage to Skarmory in the rain.

Skywalker (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed
- Bullet Punch

After all the entry hazards are out, Lucario can easily sweep with his powerful priority moves. I usually Lure are dark move such as pursuit from CB Scizor then get free set up with Lucario. After one swords dance he becomes a very scary sweeper. If the pokes are bulkier I can usually out speed and OHKO with Close Combat.

All-Star (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- ThunderPunch
- Ice Punch
- U-turn

Lastly I needed a revenge killer to pick off the remaining pokes in case my sweepers die off. Thanks to lots of hazards and Serene Grace Iron Head can often 2HKO what’s left in the end game and not even get touched. He truly is a All-Star being able to Flinch Hax everything to death. Rachi is also my answer to Dnite, Gyarados, and mence as it can switch in and K.O. with a 4x super effective move. Lastly Jirachi acts as my teams scout thanks to U-turn.

Well there’s my team I am open to any constructive criticism, I am trying to improve the team so please tell me what you think I did right, and what I could change to make it better.

Just a small suggestion replace Justified with inner focus because most people will just pursuit you. Also you may want to try crunch or ice punch> bullet punch because it has better coverage. Also you could try E-Belt> Life Orb on latios to fake a choice item. You may want to run a spinner because rocks with break multi-scale and toxic spikes with ruin keldeo and Deoxys' day. I would suggest maybe running starmie over latios because they perform a similar role but starmie can spin. Just nit-picking but other than that is looks like a solid team

Starmie @ Expert Belt
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Ice Beam/ Psyshock/ Recover
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Rapid Spin

Very solid team. Just, on Keldeo, you'll definitely want HP Ghost over HP Dark, as it attains perfect coverage over near-perfect coverage while still hitting want you want to hit super-effectively. Toxicroak and Heracross resist HP Dark, and Toxicroak would check you even more, plus you don't want to risk giving a Justified boost to a Terrakion, Virizion, or Cobalion. Otherwise, nothing to say.

Hey,
This team is very good, but Deoxy-D current lead set looks pretty average IMO. Since your opponent will pretty much know your leading with it they will probably send Scizor in first to do massive damage with a powerful U-Turn and then will finish you with another Pokemon. A way to fix this is to run HP Fire over Magic Coat and use Fire Gem over Leftovers. Although it sounds stupid it will let you get your hazards up more often and HP Fire will damage stuff that resist's it as well. Taunt stops Spore anyway and since Deoxy-D will be outsped my most other designated leads HP Fire gives you something to attack with. An alternative which I find to work better on these teams is to run a Lead Azelf. Azelf not only puts up hazards, it comes back in later and attacks and can take out something that is getting out of hand with a well timed Explosion. Although the set looks weird trust me when I say it works better than the standard one in the way it beats some of the most popular spinners in Forretress and Starmie and it has a presence after the first few turns!
GL with the team, Azelf set below
Azelf @ Life Orb
Nature: Naive
Trait: Levitate
EV's: 160Atk/ 98SpA/ 252Spd
Stealth Rock/ U-Turn/ Flamethrower OR Fire Blast/ Explosion

Thanks you for all your replies! I like the Idea of Starmie over Latios, so I will start some testing on that, but I am a little worried about removing the electric resistance.
I do however perfer Bullet punch as it allows me to deal with gengar, and most importanly terrakion.

As for HP[Ghost] over Dark I love the Idea and I can't believe I didn't think of that on my own xD

On deoxys-d I am going to run HP fire over Magic coat, instead of switching to azelf because the whole point is to set up multiple Hazards.

agian thanks for all the rates I will post the updated results soon!

Hi!

Solid team, Salamence1! I find that on a fast Hyper-Offense team not carrying a Rapid Spinner, I don't think having a Dragonite would be a good idea. Sure, it's got Multiscale, but if Stealth Rock is up, you can't even abuse it. I would recommend a guy who is faster and has more raw power; Choice Band Haxorus. Unlike Dragonite, it isn't weak to Stealth Rock, making it more effective on your Heavy Offensive team. Once Stealth Rock and Spikes are set-up, Haxorus can come in and wreck everything with an Adamant, Choice Band-boosted STAB Outrage. It easily rampages through weakened teams, and once the rampage is over, you'll most likely be in a good spot for your other sweepers to come in and finish the job. Earthquake is useful to get past Heatran, and thanks to Mold Breaker, Rotom-W and Gengar are also hit hard by this attack. Superpower is a strong move that lets you nail stuff like Ferrothorn, who resists Outrage. Finally, Dragon Claw is a decent STAB that prevents you from having to force yourself into an Outrage. The 36 HP EVs let Haxorus live through a Reuniclus' Psychic. The set can be found below, in the clickable spoiler. I don't have much else to add - cool team, and good luck!

Haxorus @ Choice Band | Mold Breaker
Adamant | 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe
~ Outrage
~ Earthquake
~ Superpower
~ Dragon Claw
