It's Back: Weavile Hyper Offense
Following the ban of Shed Tail, a power vacuum has been created in the Hyper Offense archetype of OverUsed Pokémon. Using Glimorra, or Meowscarada and Eject Pack Great Tusk are both viable leads for these team structures, but for an alternative frame for this playstyle, I decided to opt for Focus Sash Weavile with 5 other Mons with high attacking stats.
I've tested this up to top 100, but haven't done too much more. When using this team, you're going to have a bit of a rougher matchup versus certain mons, which I will do my best to cover in the Threat List section. Importable is at the bottom of the post. Good luck with the team, and have fun!

The Mons:

Elita One (Weavile) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pickpocket
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Beat Up
- Ice Shard
- Swords Dance

- Low Kick
I chose Weavile for this team for obvious reasons, following Generation V, Beat Up is able to receive STAB, Swords Dance boosts, and Choice Band boosts, making it a strong option for a team packed with physical breakers. As a lead it gives you solid matchups versus a lot of other potential leads, with Focus Sash + Pickpocket letting you cripple even faster mons that might see an easy pick. Tera Dark for increased Beat Up damage, as a defensive Tera Typing would be more or less useless here.

1682035663862.png
Canopy (Great Tusk) @ Eject Pack

Ability: Protosynthesis
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin

- Stealth Rock
Great Tusk is one of the strongest, if not the strongest Mons in the tier right now. In addition to its access both to hazards and hazard removal, the base 131 Attack stat makes this a no-brainer. An electric immunity is also always nice, which this provides. Eject Pack allows this Mon to easily create momentum after setting hazards, and provides opportunity for scouting on slower Mons. The Fighting Tera Typing allows you to remove Grass and Water weaknesses, as well as powering up Close Combat, although you won't often Tera Great Tusk, seeing as it's more of a support Mon here.

1682035966611.png
Wheeljack (Breloom) (F) @ Loaded Dice

Ability: Technician
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire/Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Spore

- Tera Blast/Bulldoze/Rock Tomb
Breloom helps your Stall/Fat MU a ton, with ability to Spore defensive threats or other switch-ins. Adamant Bullet Seed is also very potent, often singlehandedly winning battles vs. Water-heavy teams. You could opt for Bulldoze or Rock Tomb over Tera Blast, but the Fire Typing allows you to survive hits from Mons like :Iron Valiant:, :Gholdengo:, or even Acrobatics:Roaring Moon:or Play Rough:Meowscarada:.

1682036363606.png
Sideswipe (Ceruledge) (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 248 HP / 248 SpD / 12 Spe
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Bitter Blade
- Taunt
- Shadow Sneak

This Ceruledge set was added to mitigate the weakness my team had to:Iron Valiant:. Still threatened by Knock Off or Shadow Ball sets, but HP investment lets you preserve this Mon and tank a hit from either one of these. Taunt helps you set up on Mons like:Toxapex:or:Ting Lu:that might try to phase you out or remove boosts. Bug Tera lets you resist Earthquake or Headlong Rush from Mons like:Great Tusk:or:Dragonite:, while letting you retain immunity to Fire moves and Burn.

Starscream (Iron Valiant) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Psychic/Ghost/Electric
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe OR 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid/Naive Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt
- Calm Mind/Close Combat
- Psyshock/Thunderbolt

Iron Valiant was the Special Attacker I ended up deciding on for this team, due to its Speed Tier and high Attack stat. Without weakening Beat Up too much, we can have a reliable Special hitter that can block Dragon moves and Outspeed most of the tier. Alternatively, you could opt for Thunderbolt or Shadow Ball over Psyshock or Focus Blast, or even go for a Mixed Attacking Close Combat set with 4 Attacking Moves. With these sets, you would obviously select whichever offensive Tera Typing would benefit your coverage the most.

Drift (Kingambit) (F) @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire/Flying/Fighting
EVs: 80 HP / 248 Atk / 8 SpD / 172 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head/Low Kick
- Kowtow Cleave

- Sucker Punch
Kingambit is probably the single best cleaner in the tier right now. You can opt for a different Tera Typing, or even run Low Kick over Iron Head if you want a more reliable answer for opposing:Kingambit:or:Roaring Moon:. Flying Tera makes your:Great Tusk:matchup a lot easier, but you will still lose to Bulk Up sets, and are more vulnerable to Burn from:Volcarona:,:Rotom-Wash:,or:Skeledirge:.

Matchups:
Some Matchups to look out for are:Pelipper:,:Skeledirge:, and:Iron Valiant:. Swift Swim Pokémon are dangerous for a team like this that relies on being fast, and:Pelipper:can easily live a Beat Up and U Turn out into a:Floatzel:or:Golduck:. :Skeledirge:will come in after seeing Swords Dance on a lot of Bulky Offense or Balance Teams, and can get a free Burn off on one of your Mons while threatening:Ceruledge:with Shadow Ball. You'll have to use:Kingambit:to force it out, and then double on their inevitable switch to:Great Tusk:. Opposing:Iron Valiant:counterlead:Weavile:pretty efficiently, and outspeed and OHKO most of this team. Best bet here is probably forcing it out with:Ceruledge:or:Kingambit:, or getting a Spore off with:Breloom:after Tera depending on your positioning.

Loving the return of beat up weavile, I can never make it work so I'll definitely be trying this one out.

I would say grats on the peak, but there isn't a peak :smogduck: . But I noticed your around 1700s with this team in the replays, so good job on reaching that high!

Hello fa500 I’m gonna rate your team.
im starting with major changes/ Pokémon swaps and eves

major changes
:sv/breloom:-> :sv/gholdengo:
as soon as I see this team I realise fairys destroy this team I know you have :kingambit: but that’s not made to deal with fairy’s
so I’ve swapped breloom out for gholdengo and your probably thinking that will make my team super weak against ground
but in hyper offence that doesn’t matter here’s the moveset
Gholdengo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Trick
- Focus Blast
the reason why I chose this set is because you dont have much speed control sure you have iron valiant but when you switch you loose that booster energy choice scarf lasts forever
252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 390-462 (122.6 - 145.2%) -- guaranteed OHKo
252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. +1 252 HP / 0 SpD Hatterene: 260-308 (81.7 - 96.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0 SpA Hatterene Mystical Fire vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gholdengo: 226-268 (71.7 - 85%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
the cal s were done on calm mind hatterene the most common set
you also always out speed so you win the 1v1 90% of the time

gonna make this brief since gimmicky teams arent really my thing but some stand-out points i noticed is the lack of ground immunity + water resist so just wanna fix that while staying kind of in line with the theme here and I know you kind of know what you're doing in general based on our prior interactions in ou room and such.

:breloom: -> :dragonite:

The most obvious weakest link here is breloom. sticking the dragonite on this since it covers both of the weaknesses that I mentioned and helps a lot in some of the matchups you mentioned you have a hard time with. standard bulky dd with roost or encore can fair well, but tera fire dclaw is also very serviceable if you find you don't need the prior (or you can run prior > roost/encore i guess lol). espeed helps as a fail-safe in general if the gimmick of the team fails.

since I removed the main fat killer ill now improve that match-up a bit.

:iron-valiant:

not huge on this tera psychic set in general, I suggest you try either Taunt/Cm/Moon/Shock tera flying/fairy which has a really nice mu into fat teams or switching your tera here to steel to resist espeed + fairy moves. if you want to keep the coverage you have rn i'd suggest running aura sphere > focus just because its more reliable and gambit can be really fucking annoying. if this team starts really struggling with dirge another option is sd knock encore spirit break, which forces tera on dirge most of the time which is rly nice. i think you should try my first suggestion on valiant first though and go from there since that set is the most consistent into fat.

:kingambit:

since you have dnite now i dont see a huge need for tera fire. personally, I'd run tera dark jolly max speed max atk with either black glasses or lum berry. this is super nice into late game dirge and just fat in general. obviously, low kick is an option vs opposing gambit but iron head is nice if dirge tera fairys on you.

:great-tusk:

not going to include this in the paste but i'd suggest trying tera water on tusk here just bc fighting isnt all too important and it can be a nice fall back
