Galarian Weezing serves as a strong defensive piece for Poison teams thanks to its strong supportive movepool and incredible immunities thanks to its Fairy-typing and its ability Levitate enabling it to comfortably take on threats such as Swords Dance Garchomp, Dragonite, and Ting-Lu. Strange Steam allows Galarian Weezing to pressure Dark- and Dragon-types like Mega Sableye, Roaring Moon, and Dragonite. Defog clears away hazards for teammates such as Alolan Muk and Mega Venusaur preventing them from getting worn down. Pain Split can keep Galarian Weezing healthy symphoning HP away from foes such as Blissey and Ting-Lu. Finally Will-O-Wisp can be used to shutdown physical attackers like Iron Treads and Iron Hands. Mega Venusaur pairs particularly well with Galarian Weezing with Leech Seed being able to make up for Galarian Weezing's occasionally lacking self preservation along with being able to check Water-type threats along with Ground-type capable of overwhelming Galarian Weezing such as Mega Swampert, Keldeo, and Iron Treads. Toxapex can similarly help out against Water-types like Urshifu-R along with being able to check Steel-types such as Scizor and Celesteela and Fire-types like Mega Charizard-Y with Scald and Toxic. Alolan Muk provides a specially bulky wall capable of handling Psychic- and Ghost-types that can easily ruin Galarian Weezing such as Tapu Lele, Blacephalon, and Hisuian Zoroark with Pursuit. Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can check special attackers for Galarian Weezing like Zapdos, Latios, and Kyurem. Choice Scarf Sneasler can outspeed and handle Steel-type threats such as Hisuian Goodra, Empoleon, and Heatran along with checking other problematic threats such as Hisuian Arcanine and Ursaluna. Nidoking can break through Poison- and Steel-types like Toxapex and Gholdengo whom use Galarian Weezing as free entry along with checking Electric-types like Raging Bolt and Regieleki.
