weirdest lead in ou

gengar @ focus sash
ability levitate
nature timid
evs 4 def / 252 Sp Atk / 252 Speed
- shadowball
- thunderbolt
- icy wind/counter/explosion
- focus blast

bit of a weird lead but love the funcunality of it. it also doubles as a revenge killer with such great speed and power he just wrecks teams, he is pretty unexpected and can really hurt those aerodayctly and azelf leads i see all the time, really piss me off, with shadow ball it just makes it better great stab move and everything, icy wind is new to the set and i think it will really help vs those darn dragons i see everywhere. might switch the icy wind to counter or explosion because with focus sash i can explode and usually take something out.

scizor choice band
ability technician
nature adament
evs 252 atk 248 hp 8 def
- u turn
- pursuit
- bullet punch
- super power

with great type coverage he can switch in on alot of hits and take em like a champ only threat to scizor is fire and thats well known with pretty solid defense he is kinda my defensive wall as well strong minded and can sweep at end of game..... well ya thats my team took this set straight from smogon becuz most of my buddies use ubers just all out attack no stratagy haha well hope he helps against them

heatran @ choice scarf
ability flash fire
nature niave
evs 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- earth power
- fire blast
- explosion
- dragon pulse
went with scarf hetran over scarf mence trying to see how he works, first off he does the job of killing just as good, second off he gives me a lot better immunities that my team greatly needs. gives me bug and ghost and dark resistances which plague my gengar and Latias. explosion is just always nice I'm trying to get one that has hp grass because i really need a swampert counter. Until that day i will be using dragon pulse due to the fact it hits a lot hard.

latias @ Leftovers
ability pressure
nature timid
evs 196 Hp / 54 Def / 252 SpD
- dragon pulse
- Calm Mind
- refresh
- recover

used to by your standard everyday crucune, but this guy is so much more effective with the ability to learn refresh i take status's like a champ. with recover i just regain any and all life when i'm struggling with to boost my Special attack and special defense. dragon pulse is chosen because dragon hits pretty much everything for neutral. evs give him alot of pre battle bulk

gyrados @ lifeorb
ability intimidate
nature adament
evs 252 Atk / 22 Def / 232 Spe
- dragon dance
- waterfall
- stone edge
- earthquake

use to by my kingdra but latias did kinda what kingdra did so i ditched him for dancing gyrados. Dragon dance is a must on this set because it boosts his attack and speed up, if this guy gets one or two up he is solid as heck. i pick stone edge and earthquake over icefang because ice fang just never works out for me like versus dragons stone edge often does more or the same as ice fang. waterfall gives this set great coverage as well. earthquake over taunt just because, like whenever i taunt they do there move than they switch as i dragon dance and they switch to an amazing gyrados counter

swampert @ leftovers
ability torrent
nature careful
evs 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
- roar
- stealth rock
- avalanche
- waterfall

pretty standard set, sets up rocks, he also gives me a very needed choice specs jolteon counter. He does everything really well he phazes people in and out with roar. waterfall is just a great stab attack for this guy, avalanche is picked over the likes of ice punch because he is so slow he usually attacks second anyways. Rocks are a must on every team and thihs guy just works perfectly for me. new addition but I'm hopeful with him.

well in conclusion there is my team I'm only hesitant about one guy and thats the scarf salamence is there a better mix scarf pokemon out there? if so please recommend him

possible add ins
will add images in next hour or so if i get time
new scarfer that is physical and special
ditch kingdra, make salamence a dragon dancer or add a dragon dance gyrados

Gengar has Levitate, not Natural Cure. Some color or some pictures would be nice as this is an RMT. Capitals and proper punctuation helps as does longer descriptions. Run 248 HP EVs on Scizor, not 252, so he takes less damage from Stealth Rock and so you can put some more EVs in Speed. I would rate this team 5.5/10.

use swift swim, not sniper lol, helps versus rain dance teams. I would put focus Sash on your Gengar to that Azelf won't just 2HKO, as will aerodactyl. Also gives you another turn versus Heatran, Metagross etc.

I feel that Gengar could also be improved as a lead. Have you tried Counter over Thunderbolt or Icy Wind? With Focus sash a physical attack will bring you down to 1 HP, then when you counter it will kill off the attacker. (such as Metagross or Tyranitar).

I would keep Gengar over Anti Lead Starmie too, as your team likes the extra immunities of Gengar and Starmie is starting to become expected -.-

Now Jolteon could really give you issues, with nobody on the team not 2HKOed by Thunderbolt. There are some pokemon that could be fitted onto this team to help with this though!

Scarf Latias could work well over Scarf Salamence, although it is trappable by pursuit.

Swampert could work well over Forretress. You would lose a steel typing and spikes, but gain roar and better Tyranitar and Metagross counter (as scarfMence can't really switch in to an attack).

Latias can also work nicely over Suicune, with this set
Latias @ Leftovers
Timid
196 Hp / 54 Def / 252 SpD
-Dragon Pulse
-Calm Mind
-Recover
-Refresh / Reflect.

This set will function similarly to Crocune, slowly powering up with Calm Mind while tanking all hits and status and using refresh to stop status. Reflect is another good option, as it will stop you being beaten by Scizor and Tyranitar, infact you can set up on them!

Good luck with the team.
Sorry this rate is a bit haphazard, I was just trying to work around some of the more basic weaknesses.

Have they changed the rules while I was in active?
I thought a intro and outro were neccecary.

Anyways, why Spikes? You have no Phazers,
and this is nothing close to a stall team.
I would switch Forretress to Swampert,
as it could set up rocks (but not spikes) as well as giving you a valuable electric immunity.
Swampert @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
~ Stealth Rock
~ Earthquake
~
Avalanche
~ Wanterfall

Hi,

This is by no means a bad team, but I agree that your presentation could be better. I suggest you troll a bit on the forums and see what the top notch RMTs look like.

First things first, Gengar by no means is the weirdest lead in OU, it used to be one of the best leads with hypnosis. It really doesn't need Icy wind, drop it for something more useful against leads like Explosion or HP Fire. You actually might want to side with HP Fire, because of the rise of the roserade leads. Just keep in mind that when running HP Fire, you'll almost always lose against Azelf, who can 2hko with Psychic.

Use 128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 Spe for the Evs on Latias, it gives Latias much needed speed and special attack while still retaining bulk.

And for Gyarados, go with the standard 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Ev spread, maxing Attack and Speed.

gl with the team
