Well I'm Not Paralyzed...

The name based off the song, I have an interesting Paralysis Team that has held it's own care to see?

But I seem to be struck by... This setup

Okay I'll stop XP...

Building Process...

Since I was making a Paralysis team i need pokemon to just take advantage of it as much as possible as well as get it on as much something was needed that was fast and able the electric rodents came to mind and they make perfect leads... =3

Pachirisu Crappy stats but one thing makes it different from the others she's got Super Fang it come in to put out the initial paralysis as well as Confusion. Raichu could do the same and maybe Emolga only they don't have Super Fang that what make this special to the team softens up the Opposition so the stronger teammates can eliminate them

Now I wanted a Phyiscal sweeper something that just needed to be used I have thought of Machamp but I realized with the Upcoming Black 2 and White 2 Golurk now gets No Guard time to have some Dynamic Punching FUN X3 Functional like a Machamp in 4th gen but this can also hit Ghosts

Dragon types... they always seemed to be my problem anywhere nowadays I always have a steel type on any team I make Klinklang is pretty fast and can take a hit as well as know T-wave
this pokemon could even make its self faster by Autotomize and Shift Gear possibly doing a good sweep.

With a steel type serving as a Physical wall I needed a special wall too Umbreon are very good tanks and can function as a wall if needed I have even see the ferocious power of an Umbreon and is without a doubt the cutest darn Eeveelution of the 6 next to Flareon and Vaporeon

I soon realized that there could be some who could set up on me I needed a Phazer Dragonite are pretty good at that with Dragon Tail the inaccuracy may be a burden but worth it if i can stop a substitute or swords dance this dragonite would even cover my Golurk against water types while my Klinklang get the Ice Types like Cloyster

Now I needed a pokemon to Further stop those that could set up on me Entry hazards came to mind Crobat is the Ideal pokemon for that job using Taunt at speeds that rival Accelgor and Weavile only Pranksters are the only threat but I had to Curb the moveset because I don't want any poison Hax ruining the reason of the team only Flying STABs are Recommended

I grew curious here I wanted to see how a Ferrothorn would fair on this team though slow it has a beastly defense and the Nasty Iron Barbs ability which would make any Outraging Dragon day a living Hell not to mention Ferrothorn has an Excellent HP regaining qualities which Klinklang lacks so this seem like a smart switch out to me

A closer look...

417.png

Paula(Pachirisu) (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 156Hp, 56 SpA, 44SpD, Spe
Nature: Timid
-Super Fang
-Thunder Wave
-Volt Switch
-Sweet Kiss

My first wave of Para-fusion on the team and a good lead so long as the lead of my opponent isn't a ground type I could paralyze their team for a good while with good speed and special defense it could last a bit against the attacks that weren't given a boost.

623.png

AU-1000 (Golurk) @ Ghost Gem
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 144 HP, 252Atk, 112 Spe
Nature: Adamant
-DynamicPunch
-Earthquake
-ThunderPunch
-Shadow Punch

My physical attacker on this team coming in on the crippled to just destroy them No Guard is perfect because it can use DynamicPunch without a hitch and even if the pokemon resist the punch it still gets confused Earthquake is a STAB doing great damage to the enemy that resist or avoids DynamicPunch. ThunderPunch hits Flying types that come in to block Earthquake and also a way to help out the rest of the team if needed (or Possible) Shadow Punch is an interesting STAB I have Chosen I only wish it was Shadow Sneak... the Punch is another STAB to hit Psychic and Ghost types that could try to set up against my team with the Ghost Gem it OHKO Sableye and Spiritomb if it gets the chance best time for coming in is one predicted Close Combats or Sacred swords

598.png

IronMaiden (Ferrothorn) (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP, 182 Def, 76 SpD
Nature: Impish
-Thunder Wave
-Iron Head
-Protect
-Leech Seed

Ferrothorn this one is named after my Nephew's Ferrothorn in his Game I however have a different set Thunder Wave is a must since they can learn it. A sacrifice for no entry hazards but Leech Seed allows it to survive Protect Helps me Scout around for Fighting type threats that should arise and go straight to my Golurk as well as put stall out the Leech seed. Iron Head for Possible Para-flinching since I don't have Togekiss on this team If I Predict Dragons with Outrage Ferrothorn is my choice on coming in I chose an Impish nature to outspeed other Ferrothorns and paralyze them too

The Klinklang and set...
601.png

Clockwork(Klinklang)@
Scope Lens
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk, 100 SpA, 152 Spe
Nature: Lonely
-Gear Shift
-Gear Grind
-Thunder Wave
-Volt Swtich

At least you could see what it would have looked like to have this Klinklang on the team the Idea was for him to Block Ice type moves and Damage Ice Types if I spot Cloysters trying to Shell smash I could at least Hit it with Volt Switch to badly injure it then have my Crobat finish it off...

197.png

Ring-Zing (Umbreon) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 Hp, 158 SpD, 100 Spe
Nature: Careful
-Swagger
-Foul Play
-Wish
-Protect

A very weird yet clever set to me... it makes use of paralysis by confusing the Pokemon with Swagger. Foul Play is a STAB and is stronger due to swagger's effect and with Paralysis it almost never works for them Wish is for the team if they are feeling winded in the battle and to save himself with Protect if I call it correctly he could take out the opponent if he wanted (believe it or not during testing I took out a Resolute Keldeo with this set...)

149.png

Hyro (Dragonite) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Hp, 252 SpD, 4 Spe
Nature: Careful
-Substitute
-Roost
-Dragon Tail
-Thunder Wave

My Dragonite Basic Parashuffler she evenly distributes the Paralysis among the opposition would be even better if I had Entry Hazards. Not much to explain but she Block water type threats against my Golurk while he attacks

169.png

Tiffany (Crobat) (F) @ Blacksludge
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
-Confuse Ray
-Roost
-Acrobatics
-Taunt

My secondary Lead Pokemon Very fast stopping any chance of setups as well as also abuse Paralysis with Confuse Ray. Roost is for healing when getting it with attack she could survive and staying in for longer Blacksludge is for the Trick users like Rotom and Sableye. Acrobatics is a STAB and it helps avoid becoming Taunt Fodder against Pranksters

You'll Probably move right through...

Dang I gotta stop that >_<

Well this is my team I see there are still a few faults in it Like Motor Driven Pokemon like Electivire as well as other Ice type moves that threaten this team.

If there are some Idea you have to offer please I am willing to hear them Thanks and Goodnight ^^

Hi, nice team, and I like the idea but OMG it's a ****ing pachirisu on an OU team! if you want a parafuser, I would switch it with no though whatsoever to magneton/ magnezone. A set like this would work:

Magnezone @ leftovers
Ability: magnet Pull
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SpA/ 4 Spe
-Thunder Wave
-Supersonic
-HP fire
-Thunderbolt

this set means that you can eliminate steel types which wall Dnites outrage, as well as getting off some parafusion which can't be cured easily if the opponent is a steel type.

On umbreon, this may seem crazy, but liepard is always an option for the prankster swagger/substitute it gets. It's not commonly used in OU but then, neither is pachirisu so IDK.

You say that electivire or other motor drive pokemon are threats, but I wouldn't worry about them since I have seen literally none ever in OU.

The ferrothorn set is interesting but i would replace protect with gyro ball which hits ice types super effectively. Also, motor drive boosts mean it hits harder, and most offensive ice types are speedy. A threat, however is abamosnow + stallrein, which if either one carries hp fire or abomasnow is subpunch can hit most of your team hard. Also you have no entry hazards so the ferrothorn could also carry rocks at least instead of leech seed.

nice idea, and I hope my suggestions help.

Hi there, I do quite like the idea for a team that aims to capitalize on a certain status and then go from there. I've tried a few myself, including a paralysis team and I found that it can actually be quite successful.

The first thing I'll point out is that when running a team that aims to focus on a particular status, you should aim to build your team to focus on taking advantage of that. For instance if its a team that focuses on poisoning your opponent, put a lot of bulky things that can take hits and heal up, on the team. With paralysis, you want to either load your team with powerful Pokemon that are usually to slow to be serious threats, or things that can confuse meaning that your opponent has a hard time hitting back.
That said onto the actual team.

The first thing that jumps out at me, is that fact that the only method of paralysis you have is Thunder Wave. Thats a problem. I don't know how you overlooked Jirachi in your team building as, in my opinion, he is the king of parahax. Jirachi with Body Slam will provide a relatively solid method for paralyzing ground types and those Pokemon with Volt Absorb, and with so many Thundurus-Ts running around, thats quite handy. In regards to the Jirachi set you have a load of options, so I won't suggest one specific set. Although I think either the traditional special wall, or scarf with Body Slam could be your best options. If it had to replace something I'd say Ferrothorn, and then go the specially defensive Jirachi so that you still have a steel + rocks in that team slot.

Crobat has the right idea behind it, a fast Taunter which is invaluable to a team that relies on status. The biggest issue for this team could be a Chansey coming in and Heal belling and undoing all your work in one move, so having a very fast Taunt user is essential. If you find that Crobat is to much of a liability for whatever reason, say to many Mamoswines running around with Ice Shard, you oculd potentially switch it to a Prankster Sableye with a moveset something like:

- Taunt
- Recover
- Confuse Ray
- Foul Play/Night Shade

That does the same job, but is faster and has no real weaknesses.

Pachirisu is quite a unique idea, and I haven't really seen enough of it to fully comment, although it is obviously quite frail, and with only leftovers for recovery that could be an issue. Although right now I can't identify any really necessary changes.
The Parashuffling Dragonite is a favourite of mine, being incredibly effective. Although without Spikes on the team it is a lot less useful, however a different Dragonite set could work quite nicely. Either a DD set or a CB set would appreciate paralysis on your opponents Pokemon, as a turn of parahax could give Dragonite a free turn to set up.
Another Pokemon which should never be overlooked when making a team that focuses on paralysis is Togekiss. Another Serene Grace user, similar to Jirachi, although from the special side this time. Thunder Wave + Air Slash on Togekiss works exactly the same as Body Slam + Iron Head of Jirachi, effective and annoying as hell. You could put Togekiss in over Umbreon potentially, as outside of providing more confusion and Wish support, it doesn't help the team out all that much.
Golurk isn't a bad idea as it is respectably powerful, but not fast enough to be a real threat without the proper support. That said there are many physical attackers out there that could function better in that slot, but that really comes down to preference.

So a summary of potential changes:

- Put Jirachi on the team, a specially defensive set is probably best, and replace Ferrothorn
- Put Togekiss on the team, this thing really loves to take advantage of paralysis, and it can easily take out half your opponents team with a bit of luck
- Change Crobat to Sableye, if you find that Crobats weakness to Stealth Rock and Ice priority is a pain. If you decide to put Togekiss on your team you really don't want three Pokemon weak to Stealth Rock and no spinner
- Change the Dragonite set, if you really want to run a Dragonite. I think a DD set would probably be best suited, although a CB would work quite well also.

Hope that helps, and I look forward to seeing how this team ends up :)
