So I had made an RMT earlier for an upcoming tournament, come to find out this morning that we're not allowed to use legendaries at all. Which is a huge annoyance, considering I had a Jirachi and Latias on my team. So here I am, making another team in hopes that it'll measure up to my original team. =\ The general idea of this team is to hit as fast and hard as possible, with a few entry hazards on the way.

So, considering I can't have any actual legendaries, I figured I'd try something new, and I've always wanted a Foretress...
With that in mind, I needed to pair it with something that would be able to ignore rapid spinners (which I doubt there will be too many of, but I'm taking precautions) and I chose Gengar.
A physical powerhouse was obviously needed, and Tyranitar made the perfect choice, what with Sandstream (and Foretress can always benefit from this as well).
Well, I already have an EV trained Gyarados, and it resist ground moves, which otherwise spell serious doom for Tyranitar, so it was practically guaranteed a spot.
While I'm not a huge fan of Lucario, it sports more resistances than Infernape, and it benefits from Sandstorm as well.
Dragonite can provide a bit of mixed coverage (and I love it) and it's a bulkier than Salamence which is always nice (did I mention I love it?)

A Closer Look
Forretress w/ Shed Shell (Relaxed)
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Atk / 144 Def
~ Stealth Rock
~ Rapid Spin
~ Gyro Ball
~ Explosion
I opted for SR over spikes because I don't have any real use for spikes on the team and I at least know SR will hit the majority of the opposing teams. Explosion for the fact that it can always take something with it upon dying. (Save for Ghost types.)
Gengar w/ Life Orb (Timid)
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Protect
~ Shadow Ball
~ Focus Blast
~ Hidden Power Fire
Another smogon set. Protect to help against Tyranitar and Scizor, who otherwise decimate poor Gengar. Shadow Ball + Focus Blast for unresisted coverage and HP Fire to get rid of Scizor and Magnezone.
Tyranitar w/ Choice Band (Adamant)
EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe
~ Stone Edge
~ Crunch
~ Pursuit
~ Earthquake
This Tyranitar hits hard. Like, REALLY hard. It's mainly to help clear the way for Gyarados counters, who might otherwise cause problems for the flying water serpent, but it can put some serious holes in a team if necessary.
Gyarados w/ Life Orb (Jolly)
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
~ Dragon Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Stone Edge
~ Ice Fang
An offensive gyarados is a pretty scary thing. Should I get off a dragon dance, I'm pretty sure this guy could sweep an entire team. Ice Fang is to more accurately deal with dragons.
Lucario w/ Life Orb (Adamant)
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
~ Swords Dance
~ Close Combat
~ ExtremeSpeed
~ Ice Punch
The main physical sweeper (should all else fail). A swords dance from this guy will more than likely rip through opposing pokemon that aren't ghosts, and even then, an ice punch can still hurt.
Dragonite w/ Expert Belt (Rash)
EVs: 112 Atk / 196 SpA / 200 Spe
~ Superpower
~ Draco Meteor
~ Flamethrower
~ Thunderbolt
My attempt at a mix pokemon. It provides pretty good coverage and is able to take a hit or two. I plan on keeping this hidden until late-game so that it catches the opponent off guard (and I can scout for potential counters.)
----------------
I'm honestly open to ANY and ALL suggestions. In my eyes, this team is a bit of a mess and I'm sure there's quite a few counters out there that I can't handle with anyone on the team, so any and all help is welcome. :D
