WHAT? A STARAPTOR?

Alright, this is my third posted team and I'll show you and you can tell me what you think.

OFFENSIVE CORE 1:
"STAR" OF THE TEAM:
Staraptor @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs 4 HP/ 252 Attack / 252 Speed
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Brave Bird
- U-Turn
- Double-Edge

What a beast. It can 2HKO A LOT of things. TOO MANY things and I love using it. I just right here gave this thing a Scarf because I found myself cursing at Keldeos and Terrakions for being able to outspeed. Of course it's role is to rape everything.

STARAPTOR'S OFFENSIVE BUDDY:
Heatran @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs 252 Sp Attk / 4 Sp Def / 252 Speed
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- HP Ice
- Stealth Rock

This thing is Staraptor's buddy it can go into Scizors who try to kill with Bullet Punch and Heatran can double resist and threaten with Fire Blast.
If an EQer comes in and threatens Heatran with that, Staraptor can come in and threaten with it's very powerful attacks. Also, Heatran can set up SR to add some entry damage which can aid Staraptor's killing spree.

OFFENSIVE CORE 2:
CONKELDERP
Conkeldurr @ Leftovers
Ability: Guts
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Attack / 136 Sp. Def
Adamant Nature
-Drain Punch
-Stone Edge
-Bulk Up
-Mach Punch

Conkeldurr can help out Heatran by coming in on Blisseys can threating them out with death. He can also make some use against some Bulky waters by colming in on Scalds and take some burns and do some Bulk Ups.

BOO!
Gengar @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Sp. Attk / 252 Speed
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Disable
- Substitute

This guys is for supporting Conkeldurr and to get supported by Conkeldurr and also help the special wall which is coming up after this core. Gengar can come in on dem Psychics and threaten with Shadow Ball, while T-Tar and Scizor won't really like facing Conkeldurr. Good pair.

SUPPORT FOR OFFENSIVE d00dZ
FORT KNOX
Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Defense / 80 Sp. Def (0 Speed Ivs/ 31 Speed IVs)
Relaxed / Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball / Volt Switch

This guy is one of the most important on the team. RS for Staraptor. Spikes for Staraptor's sweep. Toxic Spikes for Hippowdons against Conkeldurr. If you're wondering waht's up with the IV and Nature choices, I have a hard time deciding whether or not to keep Gyro ball or add Volt Switch. Both present situations where I might need it.

YEAH, IT'S HER AGAIN
Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Defesne / 4 Sp. Def
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic

This chick is for ANY special hit. Not only that, since Staraptor taking recoil is not at all a rare event, Blissey is essntial for Staraptor's success. I'm think about maybe adding T-Wave for Keldeos and Terrakions so Staraptor can outspeed, but I'd have to predict them coming in. I might add it, plus, this isn't a stally team.

So, Whadja think? I'd love some feedback!

I'm sorry , this is not a proper rate however I am sure that you may get some rates or even likes, if you put pictures in your thread. Makes it more apealing to the eye and fun to read.

hi keikari, that's a nice team, but if you do consider t-wave on blissey, remove scarf from staraptor to make it easier to sweep. oh and i totaly agree with oh captain.

It's one thing to use UUs in an OU team but using one completely outclassed is dumb. There's nothing staraptor can do that gyarados, Salamance, landorus, ect can't do better. I recommend you switch to one of them.

Hey I feel somewhat obliged to rate haha...

Anyway in response to the above post, I would agree that what he mentioned are good Pokemon (certainly more bulky) but there are definite advantages to StarRaptor.

First of all, he is BL, proving he is actually too strong for UU. I believe it is an SR weakness and low bulk that ail him, one of which is mitigated by Forretress. StarRaptor also has access to a 120 Base power flying move, which Sala, Gyara etc do not have, as well as access to close combat.

Something that StarRaptor is incredibly grateful is magnet pull support. I recommend changing Heatran to either magnet pull Magneton (Choice Scarf) or Magnezone (SubCharge). That way, you can make sure you eliminate pesky steels like Skarmory and Scizor. To make sure you eliminate Ferrothorn, it might be a better idea to run SubCharge Magnezone, but scarf Magneton will give you a much faster option. Here are links to their analysis page.

As you will lose SR by replacing Heatran, you should consider replacing spikes with SR on Forretress. I believe SR is the more important hazard.

Also, go here for pictures :) change the last dex numbers for each specific 'mon, and copy paste the link into the image button up top.

Um, that I don't think is really smart. Heatran can take care of those threats too. Scizor can predict either one to come in and Superpower and Heatran can scare Skarm out with Fire Blast while Skarm won't being doing much to Heatran. I lose Ground type coverage and Rocks so that's a dumb trade off.
