Today sees the bloom of two more would-be battlers! On the one hand, madayoshi seems to be quite fond of Dragon-types. On the other hand, shadowpea gets Pajantom and especially Pluffle to punish that fondness. It is to note that shadowpea has more experience battling and reffing, even if not by much.
It's gonna be a tough uphill battle for madayoshi, they'll probably need to learn the rules on the fly, but hey, everyone loves a good underdog story, right?

Alright guys, I think that we gotta be a bit careful here seeing that...wait, Buizel don't learn Dive at 1*? Fine by me. So Cheeto, I don't think your services are necessary right now, so lets send out Dragonhead!
:dewgong:: Wait, I think if you turn invisible he can't touch you. Also, can I have his floatie?
:ss/pajantom:: zzz?... zzzzzzzz...

Phantom Force ~ Phantom Force ~ Phantom Force
If Aqua Jet then Spirit Shackle the first instance and Dragon Claw any remaining instances
If Buizel is faster then replace all instances of Phantom Force with Outrage (3a)

Damage racing is hard when you're an unevolved Pokémon against a FE, as Buizel demonstrates here. Props to madayoshi for fully taking advantage of weird BBP changes to moves and using Pursuit to try and keep up. It worked... mostly. Please take note of consecutive EN, it can go pretty fast, especially if you're using high EN moves in the first place.
Now it's time for newcomers' most dreaded thing: substitutions! How will madayoshi manage to cut shadowpea's escape routes? We shall see!

Well, Buizel, I don't know if you can beat this Pajantom, but I don't think anyone else can without some help.

Well it looks like I missed Pursuit can hit Dragonhead before going invisible. I still have a lot to learn. But hopefully my math is good enough for this to work out. Smash it before it can hit you!

Newcomers often struggle to grasp the crucial part of BBP that is combos. Combos, while powerful, often have reduced priority, namely -2. This means they'll go after most attacks (which are either +0, or -1 like D/E or charge moves), so you're likely having to tank a hit to pull them off.
Buizel couldn't tank the hit. There's a lesson to be learned... and a new Pokémon to send out!

Whew, that worked. Now, Dragonhead, control your little big monster, and once we do that let’s try turning invisible...hold on, I think I underestimated the nightcap thing’s strength again. Actually, don’t bother controlling it. Let it attack at full force!

In goes Bagon, and, uh, out goes Bagon I guess. Is this match fair? Can I have an assistant referee to investigate that?
Oh, but Bagon scored a lucky crit, bringing Pajantom to really low health, and it has really low EN too. The bad news are, well, it his Dragon-types like a truck, so poor Solotl is in for a beating before bringing the behemoth down... At least this burns madayoshi's second order.

Please, delighted audience, take note that, once a Pokémon is rampaging, it really gets in the swing of things, and can't exactly do anything other than rampaging. No, combos aren't allowed. The ruling actually goes in shadowpea's favor here, because otherwise Pajantom would have acted at -2 priority, meaning not at all because it'd have been KO'd. What a twist of events!
I'd also like to point out that single-stage Pokémon are usually weaker once you get to Stage 3 (unless it's like a legendary Pokémon or something... and even then!), so picking evolutionary lines isn't actually a 'bad choice' or anything. You'll get to see for yourself once you get into serious matches with stakes!
Uh, for now, I guess Solotl took a huge hit, but at least the playing field is kinda even now?

I actually know and remembered the first part, and just put the combo in there because why not, but I completely forgot that comboes have -2 priority lol. Well thank goodness it worked.
You did great Dragonhead! I think you look tired now, go get some rest. Since Flaming Cheeto didn't get a chance to shine in my first battle (yet), you're up!
:dewgong:...you mean more rest than he already get.
:bw/volkritter: Uhh...you sure this will work? He looks really nice, but a bit...creepy.
