What browser do you use?

I don't quite know what spurred me to inquire upon this matter, but what internet browser do you use?

I have talked about this to my friends at school, and it seems like the vast majority of people who have any inkling of knowledge about computers use Firefox. The rest of them used Internet Explorer, unless they were on a Mac, in which they used Safari.

Me personally, I have 4 internet browsers downloaded onto my computer (yeah I know). I do have the standard Internet Explorer, which is fine for important matters, though it is slow. Safari for Windows is a piece of shit, never use it. Like seriously, don't use it; Safari is slower than IE. However, the main browser that I use is Google Chrome. It's very fast (in my opinion, faster than Firefox) and has a great tab function. Google is still trying to fix some bugs and compatibility issues with certain web pages, but it is excellent. Then, of course, I do have Firefox, but I'm not in love with it and only use it for going on Gamefaqs (using the GameFOX plug-in).

So what browsers do y'all use?

Safari on Windows worked great for me until it crashed, I've uninstalled it multiple times and waited and it STILL doesn't work. I have a ton of browsers on my computer, but the one I always use is Flock. It's based on Firefox, however it's much sleeker and allows Facebook to plug in. I also have Google Chrome, however the tabs/favorites get annoying sometimes. Other browsers I only use sporatically: IE, Firefox, Songbird (iTunes+Firefox essentially), and Opera.

wow tennis you've put a lot of thought into this =P

I use firefox. Internet Explorer honestly isn't that different (and in fact I used it for a while), but its startup time is pretty awful, and I like the look of firefox better. Chrome is cool enough, and I agree with the OP that it is probably the best in terms of speed. I would probably be using it if I weren't already so attached to the firefox layout.

The look of safari annoys me, but it isn't like there is a huge difference between any of the browsers, and if I'm on a friend's mac it isn't exactly a hassle to use it

Anyway guys, I would appreciate if we could actually turn this into a discussion, rather than people just posting "I use firefox". Because the point of this forum is to have actual discussion, not just pc++ threads. Thanks!

Ive used a few, and eventually they have all failed me. We have all used IE at one point, so I wont go there. Firefox was great until was it....a 2. something update that crashes the browser and other oddities brought it down for me.

Next up to the plate is Safari. For a while this also worked marginally well, for like 2 months. I hadnt really had any problems with it besides its significant start up time and how it was generally slow. With these problems in mind, I decided to try the Chrome beta.

It was very smooth, and the tabbing system was nice. I appreciated the cleanliness of it all, but for whatever reason, never fully loaded up and always crashed. i return to Safari and make due until it just totally pissed me off one day. I try the Chrome browser once again.

This time the experience is almost flawless, here and there problems occur with youtube not loading up on the first try and such, but im still using it with great results. In the past ive tried browsers like Netscape and Opera, but those werent used on my computers(it was my families) so I didnt really get to find many faults.

Thats about it I think.
