Lifestyle What canned foods do you cook or eat without cooking at all?

I like canned pears. I tend to cook with canned chipotle peppers, banana peppers, and tomatoes quite often too but I wouldn't necessarily advise just eating those straight out of the can.

I wouldn't eat it straight out of the can, but tomato paste mixed with olive oil and greek yogurt in cooked pasta makes a pretty good quick and fairly thick sauce with minimal effort

Canning is a sterile process that requires sterile contents. I think the better question here is what canned stuff CAN'T be eaten without preparation.

Maybe motor oil? Don't drink motor oil. Yeah, I think that's good advice.

Wondering what beans, meats, other items can be eaten straight out of it without preparation

Edit: Other than fruits, got several fruit comments before it occurred to me I should exclude it
Beans & Meats?

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned but I've heard good things about canned potatoes from ShadowBeatz. Frozen canned juice can also be pretty good as a summer treat.

I'm not sure what life situations might have led you to asking this question but I am afraid of the answer

I feel like the fish answer is the correct one; everything else you probably want to heat up (not because it's not safe but because it's kind of gross; would you eat cold Spaghettios? I wouldn't)
