Back in Ruby Sapphire we had Spikes, they were used in stall teams.
They took time to get the 25% damage each switch in, but Flying types and pokemon with levitate didn't really care.
And now comes the rocks, with only one layer (something that with items like focus sash (aerodactyl) or tanks like blissey or hippowdon isn't hard at all to do)
Stealth rock isn't rare like toxic spikes or Spikes, affect ALL the pokemon in the game (breaking every focus sash other pokemon could use) and can't be cleaned easily like Toxic spikes, plus needs only 1 layer to work. Only few pokemon takes 3% damage from them.
Now leads like Jolteon aren't used anymore, because using Stealth Rocks ASAP break Focus sash and deal what Spikes take 3 turns to do in 1 turn to Ice, Fire and Flying types pokemon (if they arent neutral by their 2nd type)
It's sad to see old BL mates from RuSa (like charizard, moltres or Articuno or new powerful pokemon like Yanmega (All of them with a great boost with boost, but damned by Stealth rocks) not used often, after all, what could articuno tank with only 50% HP, it's not impossible, but it's hella hard to use pokemon with x4 weakness to rock. A x4 weakness it's bad, but a x4 weakness to Stealth rock it's a almost-sure UU or NU (besides ninjask (because of it's speed and BP)
I wonder what you people think about Stealth rocks. IMO they should, at least test'd like garchomp was before Uber.
