What do you think about this?

Hariyama@Flame Orb

-Fake Out
-Bullet Punch
-Close Combat/EQ/Stone Edge
-Close Combat/EQ/Stone Edge

Fake Out first. Then the Flame Orb will activate at the end of the turn with you opponent unable to attack. From there, attack with one of the aforementioned moves. Bullet Punch is another "first strike" move which is good, even though with massive HP, striking first isn't always necessary. Obviously, this set is walled by Ghosts with Psychic.

I just didn't see one like this in the analysis section and wanted to post the one I use.

Fake out is good because you basically get to activate the flame orb without losing a turn, but I agree close combat + stone edge.

Yeah, Guts canels out the burn effect. He'd essentially be boosting attack by 50%. But I do agree: without Facade it's not too great.

I dont understand the flame orb. Why would you put flame orb on Hariyama without a move like facade? All you would be doing is giving your pokemon extra damage each turn because guts and flame orb cancel out.
They don't cancel out. Guts completely ignores the attack drop from burn.

Okay we got that bit. But throwing Facade on there is probably a good idea.

As for CC, with all the residual damage from the burn he might not be thes best candidate for that, however this is the kind of thing best left to field testing.

Facade is useless unless you're really afraid of Weezing; otherwise your other moves will hit whatever it is a lot harder.

Actually doesn't Fighting/Rock hit everything neutral sans Claydol? In theory if they are resisting Fighting, the rock move would do a shitload, more so to Flying than Psychic, so Facade seems almost moot. You could even try Knock Off right there to annoy the team.

Hopefully this gets Wish suppot I'd assume.

Facade is really only a good option on Normal types. Hariyama needs to deal with being walled by Weezing and the main physical tanks like Slowbro, Cresselia etc.

Cross Chop > Close Combat.

Hariyama's a pretty bulky dude and that's his real advantage over Machamp. Close Combat diminishes this advantage, and coupled with his poor speed, he won't be lasting very long.

Also, consider Payback. He's gonna be going second 9 times out of 10 anyway, and Payback will hit hard on Ghosts and Psychics.

Don't forget Nidoking and Toxicroak!

I like sleeptalking hariyama better with lefties and cross chop/stone edge better than flame orb hariyama. It seems like it is perfectly suited for it, with massive HP and guts. Machamp loves to use dynamic punch and no guard anyway, I think hariyama was made for rest talking.

The problem with Burn Orb is that without any means of recovery Gliscor et al can switch in on you until you die of residual damage. Make sure to have a Wisher on your team if you plan on using that.
