Just as the name asks, what do you want do as a career, and why? At the moment, I'm pretty sure I want to work in the medical field. I don't wanna be a surgeon or a doctor, but I'm thinking I wanna be a Psychiatrist or a Pharmacist, or maybe I won't specifically work with medicine and I'll just be a psychologist.

Ew Chemistry, I hated that class.
Is it because of thermodynamics, or just chemistry in general? Thermodynamics can be very easy to hate if it is poorly taught (literally my situation), but stuff like organic chemistry is a lot more interesting.
Also, if you want to work in the medical field, I can guarantee you that you will want to understand chemistry, especially bio and organic chemistry. You will need to understand a lot about organic chemistry before you can earn a medical degree, because medicine is based significantly off organic chemistry.
I haven't taken Thermodynamics yet, and I just didn't like all the complex equations involved with chem, and I had a bad chem teacher. I understood it, though.
Thermodynamics is the heart of an advanced general chem class. IF you have gone over equations like reaction rates, enthalpy, entropy, gibbs free energy, etc., then you have taken thermodynamics.

I want to be a veterinarian. I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a vet tech or a full vet, but I think I want to go as high as I can. I'm not sure what I want to specialize in, though. I think I have to try it out to see where I want to go, though I think working with exotics (animals that aren't cats/dogs) in addition to common pets would be really cool.
If this doesn't work out for some reason, I think I woudl want to work at a zoo. I shadowed/volunteered/whatever you call not being paid to work at a zoo before and I actually really enjoyed most of it, even the menial tasks. It was kinda fun to work in that sort of environment while also interacting with the public, which could kinda suck I know, but mostly I was just answering simple questions and it was cool to help people out. The only issue with this though is I have lyme disease and a few other issues, which severely limits my physical capabilities. I'm not sure I could last the whole day working, if I were the same as I am right now. But hopefully that'll get better in the future.

Currently attending school for Culinary Arts. Graduating next spring, and the plan is have my instructors work my tail off this next year before attending an open call for MasterChef early next year as a means of networking(And possibly making the cut ofc~). From there it's all about working my way up through quality kitchens, building on my name. Move on to Austin, Tx after getting a few years of experience down in Dallas. Ideally looking to generate enough rep for myself to be successful as a freelance chef.
well I'm doing a phd in physical chemistry (gas phase spectroscopy and theoretical chemistry) and my goal is to go into academia. I'm pretty cautious about getting my hopes up, of course, and I'm trying to set up a backup at the agilent (big scientific equipment and r&d company) centre nearby. my supervisor has a pretty good track record for his graduates so I've at least got that going for me.

I'm in the end of a Social Communication degree and for the past 4 years worked as journalist. Problem is media is not adapting well to internet in Brazil, my homeland, so most of the "big" ones looks like they are still at 80's.
As a result, there is not near as much money as it's used to be in this market :[ so most of my colleagues are struggling to find a regular and well-paid job as journalist.
Thinking about that, I applied to a cientific study group at my college. I'm working with a project about media viewpoint about gender question during the Olympic Games. :] And I think I prefer this kind of study than interviewing people and stuff. I think I'm going after a Masters degree as soon as I finish my graduation.
BUT my country is through a terrible political moment. They are cutting money from Education (scolarships, universities for free etc), so I don't know for sure what I'll be doing for life.

I still am not decided on what I want to do in all honesty despite finishing my masters degree in Petroleum engineering. I have a passion for teaching (especially mathematics) but I feel that if I don't go into the field which I studied, it will be demeaning in some way? Has anyone here mingled with big data science, a friend was telling me to do a masters in that since i already got the mathematical background and there is alot of demand is there apparently

Yeah, thats a smart choice. The job can be real shit at times (go figure) but most of the time its an interesting and fun one. The pay is pretty good, youll live a typical middle class life, and without any student loans youll do good.
I'm not entirely sure what I want to do yet, but I guess that's not so bad seeing as I'm only 18. I do know that I have a passion for psychology, particularly criminal psychology. I also like forensics. I have a high school teacher who recommends that I become a profiler for the FBI, which I've definitely considered. I've also considered detective work and forensic scientist.
Well, I've dropped out of two universities already so I'm really not entirely sure. I've dropped out of my Environmental Engineering and vet degrees and am currently studying Computer's Science which I think will be endgame for me. Not entirely sure which road I wanna take from there, though. I will probably idle around the academia as long as I possibly can and perhaps even get to teach future students, which is something I've been told to have aptitude for multiple times.
If that also doesn't work out then I will probably try a Letters & Science degree. The only thing I'm 100% sure of is that I want to get this figure out before I'm 20.

Currently investigating a career path involving governmental policy. I presently work for my country's central bank so a path involving advising on financial and economic policy either for the bank or for the government could be interesting to me.
I still want to be a marine biologist, even when I'm shown several times that I'm not good enough.
I know I'm now an illustrator, but I still haven't given up the science part of myself.
Science as always been cooler than art from my point of view.
Maybe I should take several year's of rest and continue college biology after I earn some money for myself.

I want to go to college and work in a chemistry / chemical engineering kind of field because I've always enjoyed chemistry and sciences and all things like that
