What It Takes To Make It Into OU... (Improve a Pokemon)

I'm still hoping that there'll be an Ability-changer in the third D/P game. That way Pokémon that should have gotten access to better Abilities but already had two (like Golem and Solid Rock) can get a step up. Also, Pal Park Pokémon won't have to take a chance on their Ability when they evolve.

i like the idea of giving quagsire something to make it better than swampert in some way. a healing move might just be what it needs.

unown needs more moves than just hidden power. i'd love to see it's only 4 moves as like

Conversion / Camouflage
Acupressure


it'd be like the ultimate gimmick pokemon

i also feel that more pokemon should learn earthpower and aura sphere, there are like no special ground or fighting moves. it feels like the special side really got shunted on this whole physical special split

i think venusaur should get Seed flare. it'd increase his sweeping abilities.

snorlax needs a good recovery move, i fear it may drop down a tier. T_T

Umbreon should get Dark Void. it'd make it alot more viable being the only non uber to be able to use it. it should get crunch too, he has bite already, why not crunch

entei's got it almost as bad as flareon does, all that attack and no good physical fire move. i say almost because at least entei has stone edge to work with.

un-nerf weatherball. it's base power got halved this generation, why would you nerf Castform? he was never good. speaking of which he should totally have a rock formation that activates in a sandstorm.
 
Me and my friend actually had a match where we each hacked out whatever moveset we wanted for a few pokemon, and a few abilities, (some were banned like adaptability Etc).

But we could only use our favorites. Also we tried to stay away from extremely OU things, (ie no Ttar, Mence etc) and the ms's had to make at least a little sense. I remember I used a Belly Drum/Extremespeed Zangoose and a Volt Tackle/ Head Smash/ Wood Hammer/ Brave Bird CB Aerodactyl.. Ill see if I can remember the rest. It sure was fun though lol.
 
Unown is not going to make it into OU without serious stat reconsideration. Even shit like Aeroblast and Spacial Rend isn't going to change that, or even things like Pure Power.
 
Unown needs an evolution... collect all forms of Unown in a Box, and the next time you turn your game on, the box will have a single pokemon in it, a giant Eyeball encased in an ancient black spiky orb.

Ummm... Pachirisu is never going to be OU without VERY serious remaking. Even if with your increases, its Attacking stats are still meager 75s and Electivire still completely outclasses it. And Butterfree doesn't need Levitate; it already is Flying type.

Dragonite: Own Tempo
Articuno: Thunderbolt
Swellow: 30 more base Attack
Machamp, Ursaring: 31 more base Speed
Chansey: Ban Blissey
Chatot: Allow clear recordings in Chatter
Magikarp: Give it 150 in all base stats and Earthquake, Stone Edge, Waterfall, Swords Dance, Spore, and other goodies
 
Drifblim- Air Slash

Most Grass Types: Good Fire move
 
For the love of god give Bastiodon 30 more base HP and give him and Aggron Solid Rock so they can last longer.

Flareon with Flare Blitz and give Dragonite Aura Sphere I mean look at his sprite.

Give Charmeleon a Split Evo that is Fire/Dragon with stats like
80/96/78/128/83/114

And make so that when you kill something with Hyper Beam and its clone you don't have to recharge

Give Shedinja Evdeavor and Flygon Sing

Luxray should be dark type (just look at it), which would actually give it a good physical stab in crunch. It also deserves a >65 bp physical electric move. Take out some 20-25 points in satk and divert them to speed, and you're set.

Change Blaziken's base speed to 90 and give it Close Combat. We all know blaziken got outclassed this gen. Also change both defences to 80.

Dragonite-Thick Fat and base 95 speed. Seriously, this guy is somewhat fat, and for a guy that can circle the world in 16 hours, he should be base 95.

Give hypno an evo.

For stat redistribution:
Switch Muk's/Sceptile's/Dragonite's Attack and Special Attack.
Switch Luxray's Special Attack and Speed.
Take ~45 points out of Skarmory's Defense and put them in Speed.
Give Shedinja +60 points in both Special Attack and Speed.
Swap Wailoord's attack score with its defenses.
Combine Arbok and Seviper into one snake with the better stats of each.
Drop Shuckle's defenses by 30 each, then put those 60 points into its HP.
While we're at it, give the all-100 pokes some more interesting distributions, but make ordinary Deoxys all-100.

Oh, and fiddle with the type chart so that Poison and Steel aren't offensively inferior, Ghost and Dark aren't functionally identical, Ice resists something other than itself, and Steel is a teensy bit less invulnerable.

And make Kingdra look cooler. That thing is hideous.
 
Yeah, meant Wonder guard, silly ol' me. Anyway, some suggestions of me.

Gardevoir and Gallade want 20 speed.

Kingdra wants a wider physical attacking movepool (Zen Headbutt? Double Edge? Any physical Dragon move?)

Scizor wants more speed.

Banette wants an evo. It'd be a powerful physical albeit somewhat sluggish ghost.

Magcargo wants a ban on Water types.

Stantler wants an evo too, altho he is cool as he is.

Delcatty wants an evo as well, it got a nice supporting movepool but lacks the stats.

My 2 cents.
 
Gardevoir with Land Power (Gallade gets Earthquake), Nasty Plot and maybe, just MAYBE, Baton Pass and Aura Sphere (Aura Sphere/Land Power Move Tutor at 3rd game, anyone?).

Empoleon with Calm Mind, Land Power and maybe Shock Wave (maybe not).

Flygon and Sceptile with Dragon Dance.

Giratina with Roost.

Lopunny, Bronzong, Regis, Empoleon with Rapid Spin.

Banette with the Elemental Punches.

Some recovery move for Regice. Or something like Black Sludge, but for Ice-Types: recover 1/16 (maybe 1/8?) of the HP for Ice-Types, cause Frozen if any other pokémon holds it.

If Game Freak is willing to change some pokémons' types, then Yanmega should be Bug/Dragon. Maybe Charizard and Ampharos should be-part Dragon too.

Hail giving WHATEVER boost for Ice-Types. I thought this one: 1/16 damage to pokémons neutral to Ice; 1/8 against whoever is weak to Ice; 1/4 for those with 4x weak (hi Salamence); 1/32 for those who have a 2x resist; 0% damage if the pokémon has a 4x resist OR is an Ice-Type; IF the pokémon is both of them (Lapras?), then Hail would recover 1/16 per turn, as Ice Body. If the pokémon is Ice-Type, has a 4x weak AND has Ice Body (Walrein), Hail would simply recover 1/8 per turn (without Ice Body) :O

If they will change some pokémons' traits, then the starters should have a second trait. Charizard (being part-Dragon) with Levitate (dunno what should he get without the Dragon type), Empoleon with Water Absorb (or Intimidate), Meganium with Flower Gift, Sceptile with Speed Boost (maybe not...), Blaziken with Steadfast, Venusaur with Chlorophyll, Blastoise with Battle Armor (huh...), Typhlosion with Aftermath, Feraligatr with Swift Swim and Torterra with Mold Breaker. Swampert and Infernape doesn't deserve a thing because they're too damn good. Maybe some crappy trait...

Do I really need to say something about Regigigas? Slow Start should just reduce Speed...

Congrats on killing one of the last decent physical walls. If any wall needs to lose defensive stats, it's Blissey.

Those are all incredibly mediocre. For an offensive Pokemon to be OU capable it needs an offensive stat of 120+ and a decent Speed stat to complement that. Defensive Pokemon need at least average HP and 120+ defense or 130+ HP and average defenses. Good typing/traits obviously boost all of these Pokemon. Time for how I would do it.

[Farfetch'd Evo]: Fight/Flying - 80/120/80/50/85/110=525 It needed more attack and speed.
[Banette Evo]: Ghost/Fight - 95/135/75/40/75/105=525 Good speed, but you gave it Banette's attack. I went the Heracross route to fix that.
[Jynx Evo]: Psychic/Ice - 75/50/70/135/95/115=540 This is good.
[Seaking Evo]: Water/Bug - 80/122/80/70/80/108=540 This was somewhat like Kingdra, very mediocre.
[Chimecho Evo]: Psychic/Ghost - 105/40/80/95/125/85=530 It was completely outclassed by Mismagius.
[Chatot Evo]: Psychic/Flying - 95/50/75/128/60/102=515 Why did it need so much attack?
[Qwilfish Evo]: Water/Poison - 85/125/95/40/80/95=520 Mediocre once again.
[Dunsparce Evo]: Normal/Electric - 110/45/100/95/120/70=540 What was this going to do? Now it abuses Charge Beam and Serene Grace. Now all they need is an Ice-type Headbutt.
[Pachirisu Evo]: Electric/Fight - 70/60/80/120/100/105=535 Wait to be outclassed by Zapdos. Abuses Pule Bomb.
[Cherrym Evo]: Fire/Grass - 90/70/80/125/100/80=545 I love the idea, but what was it supposed to do? 80 Base speed for less EV investment.
[Shuckle Evo]: Bug/Steel - 160/10/160/10/160/5/505 Not mediocre, but bad typing. It needs something like Unaware to prevent it from being set-up bait though.

What we really need is a Rapid Spin tutor! Choice #1 is Steelix. After that it's fairgame.
