What the hell is RU? Let's give a try!

Yeah, this is my first team of RU, so I'm open for suggestions. I took what I require from this thread and built this team.

Absol @ Life Orb
Trait: Super Luck
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Superpower
- Megahorn

My wallbreaker. After a SD boost, he can OHKO most walls in the tier. Megahorn is a lot better in terms of wallbreaking than Night Slash whereas Night Slash is a lot better than Megahorn in terms of sweeping, so I picked Megahorn (provides OHKOes over Tangrowth, Uxie and likes after a SD boost). Sucker Punch is just Sucker Punch. Superpower provides KOs Steelix pretty easily, OHKOes after some residual damage.

Sigilyph @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Roost
- Calm Mind
- Air Slash
- Psyshock

This guy... I love this guy. He loves this tangrowth+slowking core everybody else loves. He alone can 6-0 sweep teams that lack a pursuit trapper.

Rotom-Mow @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Leaf Storm
- Trick

My momentum gainer. The guy who counters everything that counters Absol. Leaf storm OHKOes Poliwrath and Quagsire, Thunderbolt OHKOes Qwilfish, for everything else, i have absol. My volt-switch duo of Rotom-C and Lanturn does pretty good scouting on any team.

Zangoose @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Toxic Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Quick Attack
- Close Combat
- Facade

The plan is simple: We get rid of physical walls and send out zangoose to clean up the rest. 210 BP attack coming from something like 1080 Atk stat definitely kills anything after physical walls are gone. Oh something faster is in! We got quick attack and it has stab (as if stab would matter :))

Steelix @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Atk
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Gyro Ball

Well, this guy does a good amount of scouting too. You might get lucky with your roar (I roared a linoone after he used a belly drum today, but that was his fault in the first place). He takes 99 physical attacks before giving a shit. In the process, gyro ball hits like a monster truck (especially scarfers).

Lanturn @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SDef
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
- Scald
- Heal Bell

My special wall, my cleric, my... status spreader and my volt-switcher. He does pretty much everything that other 5 does not do. I got shit for sweeping anyway, I just want him to take special attacks.

You've used a combination of powerful Pokemon from NU and RU, nice work!

A few things I would change though:

Besides Steelix and Lanturn, all of your Pokemon are rather physically frail, and if the opponent DOES have a Purusit trapper (which most do, usually Spiritomb, Drapion, or Escavailer), many of your Pokemon will be in trouble, particularly Sigilyph. You could use an additional wall because of this that can soak up physical attacks. Your team doesn't appear super-reliant on momentum (unlike hyper offense), so I'd suggest replacing Rotom-C with a grass-type defensive Pokemon. Two suggestions:

Torterra (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SpD
Nature: Impish
-Curse/Stealth Rock
-Earthquake
-Wood Hammer/Seed Bomb
-Toxic/Stone Edge/Leech Seed

Even though Torterra is NU, it can still do fairly well in RU because of its bulk, high base attack, and EdgeQuake, plus resisting SR is nice, which many Grass-types do not. Curse boosts Attack and Defense to help with its bulk, and the speed drop doesn't matter (this move makes it easier for Torterra to hurt TR teams BTW). Earthquake is the main STAB, very few Torterra sets don't run it. Then decide on a Grass STAB for Pokemon such as Quagsire. Lastly, Toxic is a good choice to deal residual damage, and unlike Leech Seed, the effect does not get eliminated when the Pokemon switches out. If you want more offense, use Stone Edge, which has exceptional coverage on Torterra.

One other Torterra set:

Torterra (M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Overgrow/Shell Armor
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP/200 SpD/56 Spe
-Light Screen
-Reflect
-Earthquake
-Bullet Seed/Stealth Rock

The Dual Screens Torterra! This set will help your two very frail physical attackers, Absol and Zangoose, last much longer than normal and therefore do more damage to your opponent's team with their extreme power. Light Screen is the most important because Torterra draws lots of Ice Beams, and then Reflect for the Fighting-type moves Absol and Zangoose are weak to. Earthquake, like in the other set, is the main STAB and can be used if Torterra gets hit with Taunt (which is common because people want to block Torterra from setting up with Rock Polish). Bullet Seed if you want the other STAB and more coverage, and Stealth Rock is also good if Torterra is going to be your lead. The speed is to outspeed and KO Golem with Bullet Seed before it sets up SR, but be careful since Golem has Sucker Punch... The ability depends on whether you use a Grass-type STAB.

In either case if you run SR on Torterra take the move off Steelix's move set and replace it with Curse to power up Gyro Ball, or Dragon Tail if you really want a second phasing move, but Curse is better.

Tangrowth (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP/248 Def/8 Spe
Nature: Bold
-Sleep Powder
-Giga Drain
-Amnesia
-Hidden Power Fire

A twist on the SP + 3 attacks Tangrowth. The EVs and Bold nature give a major bulk enhancement to Tangrowth, and the 8 Speed EVs are to shut down other Tangrowth with Sleep Powder before they hit you.

Giga Drain is Tangrowth's best STAB on non-sun teams, and gives some nice recovery. Amnesia is used to set up on a sleeping opponent, and makes Tangrowth much better at taking special attacks, especially if it gets to +4 or +6 even. HP Fire is helpful because you have no fire-type moves on your entire team, plus Feroseed no longer walls Tangrowth. Lastly, Regenerator is very useful in general.

Please try these and tell me what you think. :)

Dual screens Torterra really looks worth a try. I don't think I require more "raw power", what I need more is some utility. I already have 3 mons that hit like monster trucks.

Torterra (M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Overgrow/Shell Armor
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP/200 SpD/56 Spe
-Light Screen
-Reflect
-Earthquake
-Bullet Seed

This should help my sweepers go rampant on the opposing team.

And Tangrowth is just Tangrowth, your twist looks pretty good. Switch on a physical attacker, set up an amnesia. Pretty straightforward. I'll try them all, starting from dual screens torterra. Thanks for your help.

I should mention Sigilyph should have Heat Wave in place of Air Slash to hit Escavailer and Ferroseed much harder. Fighting-types, most notably Hitmonlee and Hariyama, are already destroyed by your Psychic STAB.
