Cycle 6: Steel

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 24 Atk / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- Earth Power
- Taunt

Magearna @ Fairium Z
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shift Gear
- Fleur Cannon
- Thunderbolt
- Aura Sphere

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 184 SpD
Careful Nature
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Spikes
- Protect

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 116 Def / 128 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn

Heatran, Skarmory and Magearna form the basic steel resistance/immunity core allowing steel to resist or be immune to all supereffective attacks while the core is intact. Heatran uses Stone Edge mainly for a few things such as breaking opposing Heatran's air balloons, taking out Charizard Y with its attack investment and majorly chunking Volcarona. Skarmory is the team phazer and main physical wall and hazard setter. With access to whirlwind skarmory prevents itself from becoming setup bait for pokemon such as Azumarill. Defog allows for a free slot on the team not needing another pokemon for hazard removal however toxic can be run over defog to cripple other walls. Magearna is the teams main sweeper with access to Shift Gear it becomes a potent threat only being able to be outspeed by the fastest scarfers while having perfect coverage of Fighting, Electric and Fairy and access to a nuke in Twinkle Tackle. Ferrothorn helps form the last part of the hazard stacking core with Skarmory and is the teams main water type check with power whip and leech seed. Ferrothorn with this can live 1 Focus Blast from Landorus-I, 3 Ice Beams from Kyurem Black and live 1 Close Combat from Terrakion or Heracross. Finally Mega Scizor makes for a nice slow U-turn user. While SD and U-turn seems counter productive usually U-turn is used just to pick up momentum and Swords Dance is used when you are ready to sweep with bullet punch. So my question is, What's My Last?

Submission Phase ends Friday March 17th @ 11 PM EST

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt
Why Magnezone?:
Magnezone to me seems to be an ideal teammate to the above team due to the following reasons:
-The above steel team lacks immediate speed to deal with faster threats such as keldeo, with a scarf set magnezone outspeeds base 110 speed pokemon and acts as a revenge killer for the team
-Its ability magnet pull allows it to effectively take out steel types such as ferrothorn, skarmory, celessteela etc that gives mega scizor and magearna(to an extent) trouble to get past.
-Magnezone forms a great offensive core with volt switch and scizor's uturn, retaining momentum for the team at the same time bringing a teammate safely. Also removing or dealing with each others check.
-Magnezone helps in taking out water types that are a trouble for steel teams in general, such as toxapex.
252 SpA Magneton Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 192-228 (54.5 - 64.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magneton Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 200-236 (50.2 - 59.2%) -- 80.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magneton Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Skarmory: 372-438 (111.3 - 131.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Vote for probobass, make probo great agin.

Probopass @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Def / 188 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Earth Power/power gem
- Stealth rock/toxic

i got high enough with this so its fine. Ever since the horrifying t wave nerf, i have to run speed evs on probobass. Enough to outspeed a few things it'd care about outspeeding, and can cripple a few mons. Also allows stuff like tran to outspeed threats like mega char y with focus blast or smth like that. Your free to change the speed ev to match whoever u wanna outspeed after t wave

Baloon allows it to act as a temporary ground immunity.

stealth rock because it's always ncie to have, alternatively toxic to handle stall/any mons that get walled by the defensive core.

Earthpower because fire will always forever be a lil shit to steel. Alternatively power gem has stab.

Volt switch is for that voltturn action to pair with scizor, and can pivot out after rocking

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Shadow Claw
- Sacred Sword

Doublade provides a much needed fighting immunity as a sweeping mon with SD/Fightium Z such as terrakion, phermosa, Tapu Bulu etc... can punch holes through this team with stealth rocks up. Shadow sneak also provides another priority move which helps a non scarf team (despite shift gear on magearna). Not as significant, the ghost typing/STAB moves provide decent move coverage as well.

It is also just an all around decent mon that fits with an offensive team such as this one!

(In case Tyke doesn't do it.)

Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Iron Head

Excadrill is completely necessary on any good steel team. With the ability to revenge kill so many mons on teams like Fire, Flying, Electric, and a multitude of weakened mons, I don't think there is a reason to NOT use Excadrill. It is also very nice to have some speed control on a slower team.

Edit: Excadrill also has the ability to remove hazards on one's own side with Rapid Sping without removing the hazards they have set on the opponent's side as well with a move like Defog which removes all of the hazards on the field. This proves extremely helpful, especially because Steel is a type that loves to stack spikes and stealth rocks on the opponent's side of the field, but can also be annoyed when hazards are stacked on one's own side.

Cycle 7: Bug
Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bug Bite
- Bullet Punch
- Roost

Volcarona @ Firium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Ground]

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Sticky Web
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave

Armaldo @ Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off

This is a standard offensive Bug team. Galvantula is a nice lead as it can provide the team with sticky web and can help weaken some annoying threats to bug with its stab and coverage moves. Scizor was chosen as the mega over Pinsir because Fairy is a very prevalent type in the metagame right now and Scizor makes that matchup alot easier. Volcarona with Firium Z is an incredibly dangerous sweeper in the current metagame allowing it to take out so many things without having to setup. Giga Drain and Hidden Power [Ground] are Volcarona's coverage that allows it to take on Water types better and allows Volcarona to effectively get oast threats like Heatran. Armaldo is the teams hazard setter and remover, being able to use Stealth Rock and Rapid Spin makes it a very useful pokemon on a bug team especially since Bug is weak to common hazards such as Stealth Rock. Armaldo also helps lessen the weakness to Fire with its rock typing. Heracross is the teams cleaner, in late game with Moxie when the opponents team has been chipped down alot is becomes a scary sweeper being able to take on maby types with its coverage from psychic and dark with megahorn, fire and flying types with stone edge and earthquake and annoying steel and rock types with close combat. So my question is, What's My Last?

edit: due to the little participation this week to encourage more to participate you dont need to submit a description of the pokemon and why it benefits the team

The Submission Phase ends on Friday April 7th @ 12 PM GMT -4

Araquanid @ Assault Vest
Ability: Water Bubble
EVs: 180 HP / 252 Atk / 76 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Poison Jab
- Mirror Coat

I mean is this really hard? Araquanid fits in as a pretty solid special absorber, fire retardant, and physical attacker. 76 Speed is to out run things like minimum speed azumarill, muk-a, opposing armaldos, etc. This speed tier lets you outspeed certain opposing threats such as max speed marowak-a, and golem-a after webs as well. You could run surf over poison jab if you'd like in order to hit physical walls like skarmory easier, but poison coverage is nice in certain situations.

Yanmega @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Giga Drain
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz/Ancient Power/Hidden Power [Ice]

OR

Yanmega @ Choice Specs
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Giga Drain
- U-turn/Sleep Talk

LO Speed Boost Yanmega can be a very threatening sweeper once the opposing team is weakened a bit. Yanmega's stabs hit quite hard, and it also has a good number of coverage moves, some notable ones being Giga Drain and Ancient Power. You should choose your moves based on what type you would like Yanmega to beat. (For example, if you wanted to have a strong advantage vs Ground, you could use Giga Drain + HP Ice to OHKO/2HKO every mon not named Excadrill.) Once Yanmega starts to get a few Speed Boosts up, it can outspeed anything and become a major threat with its solid 116 SpA. Overall a solid mon.

With webs support, Specs Tinted Lens Yanmega is a monster. For example let's look at this calc:
252 SpA Choice Specs Tinted Lens Yanmega Bug Buzz vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Koko: 258-304 (91.8 - 108.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
With webs up, Yanmega can outspeed Tapu Koko and OHKO it with Stealth Rocks up, along with a plethora of other mons. With the ability Tinted Lens, you can count the number of pokemon that can switch into Yanmega with rocks up on one hand. The one downside for this set mis that it is sort of reliant on webs being up to outspeed the faster mons in the tier, where Speed Boost Yanmega doesn't care. Other than that, Yanmega can wreak havoc on opposing teams.

Sorry I couldn't pick a set, they both have their uses.

Nothing personal, I protect my people

Golisopod @ Choice Band
Ability: Emergency Exit
EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Rock Slide

This thing nukes stuff, that's pretty much it. Enough speed invest for Chansey and the rest in attack and an Adamant nature to maximize it's physical wallbreaking capabilities. AJ for priority, Liquidation and Leech Life for solid STAB attacks, and Rock Slide for Flying-types like Mantine.
