Dragonite. It had that majestic cool thing going for it. It was a giant in that lighthouse episode. In the Orange Leauge it used like 11 attacks in one battle (the best battle in the series) and killed like ash's whole team (because drake's other pokes didn't do shit).
With alakazam and gengar (and later mewtwo/mew), dragonite was one of those invinceable pokes.
I never betray my favorites, thus dragonite is still my fave (although the sprite made me cry since gsc.

The Orange League battle made me cry. The book version made me cry more. Brock is such a genius. "Ground and Rock types do well against a Grass type like Venusaur". Lawl.

Dragonite has got to be one of the coolest Pokemon. He was my favourite to use back in RBY, and although I took a liking to Houndoom in GSC as well as Metagross in RSE, I seem to have done a backflip and gone back to my original favourite.
 
Heracross, since it came out in 2nd Gen and it kicked ass in the show (Johto series is the best one out of all of them IMO) Sadly I never used it during the G/S/C days but I did use it in Leaf Green and quickly fell back in love with it in D/P.

Roserade > Swampert > Yellow's Dragonite > All

Best three pokemon ever. Roserade is the most recent, with Dragonite being first and Swampert ever since ADV, heh.

Zangoose and typ in 2 bl it was very fun to play with back when they where bl and uu wasn;t all stally
 
Bulbasaur. Just because the anime made Ash's Bulbasaur cool. Which other pokemon has such an attitude?

And this thread is FIRST favorite pokemon so how about ignoring "i first liked this guy but every since RS/DP came about i now love this other guy" and just stick to 'i first liked this guy"?
