This is my first time playing mafia on circus maximum so I dont know a lot but considering that we dont know how many mafia are there and that random voting could get a role that could be useful killed id prefer nving
The op says it’s 5 mafia, and its role madness so most of the roles will be strong if we do as you say we would basically be choosing to never vote and waiting for mafia to win

But welcome Peum! The meta is always to vote day 1 regardless the game plays a bit different to town of Salem, because it’s more long form the game will be balanced to assume town can vote correctly itself within a reasonable time frame
Town of Salem is rapid paced so it’s designed to rely on mechanics a bit more and discussion less, if you play the game like town of Salem you’re going to just get over run presumably by mafia sooner than later, the mafia is probably night action wise stronger than you’re used to

tbh i dont know their skill yet, newer players can feel intimidated by the thread and not want to say something wrong, hence them passively doing their like stuff
