NOC WikiMafia 2 Game Thread [Day 2]

Update (an unhelpful one): apparently if I had targeted 3 people last night via some extra role help I could’ve bypassed my cap of 2 others and added 3 since it was simultaneous

Also had an action failed along with my 2 successes, I would’ve been informed of the third which failed

So I can confirm then that whatever happened, my action never landed on bliz to fail, it somehow ended on both psy and flanders only (my original targets)
 
Ftr just to add I think I did say this before but Evie used her fruit vend on me last night, the action that just informs me I was visited by her and does nothing else

I know I said it in the hood but might’ve been glossed over here
 
Deadline is in like 10 hours right? Listen there is no way in hell I'm going to be able to iso genisu in that time, I'm exhausted and they have like a thousand posts. Unfortunate that my sleep schedule happens to line up so poorly with the deadlines. I recognize that nobody asked me to iso them but please forgive me anyway.

I did iso saber, who has....... fewer posts. While I appreciate them commenting on the hood thing, most of their posts about it were extremely surface level and not really adding much. They say Flandrs looks good for trying to resolve it in the hood (why?) but then also that it could be scum buying time. Similar equivocation on Tommy. They vote pulsar for no stated reason. Seems like they checked in multiple times over several hours, but never actually interacted with thread except to drop a random vote.

This kind of active lurking is imo more of a scum tell than the kind of lurking doom/liquid are doing. Stops you getting replaced, and there isn't really a great explanation for it as town other than extreme laziness. Not that I condone just forgetting about a game but at least that's something a townie might do. If you're checking in but basically just repeating stuff other people just said, and occasionally throwing in "it could be a scum tell or maybe town," then you may as well not be there. It's easy for scum to do and conversely kinda defeats the point of the game if you're town.

I put my vote on saber bc a) this Tommy thing is just not happening today and b) I definitely scum read saber here. In the event that bluedoom doesn't show up again I might prefer them being lynched, just out of principle. I probably will not be back before deadline but I trust you all to make good decisions. I will try just, I need my sleep on my day off ;_;

I feel bad for completely missing saber lol but tbf that is literally the intent of this strategy if they really are scum. Very hard to get buried in a game this active
 
Oh yeah also saber's reads list from early D2 is weird. They town read bluedoom "even though they haven't said much," and in general they town read afks except for the ones who they don't for no stated reason?? Idk this might be too scummy to be scummy tbh lol

Voting des at xx:58 yesterday is a very "I am scum and I know chickening is going to flip town so let me distance myself" move. You were caught up and present for like half an hour and you wait to vote until you know it won't matter?? :V
 
Ok after getting side tracked and then reading D2 over, I'm done.

I think I want to vote one of hydro, blizinguh and Shypebble today. I would want someone to parse what the tommy vs psy is about, I know its role interaction but I'm a little more confused on how its indicative. I'll also preface this by saying that I didn't use my night action because uh, I've been so inactive that I forgot to send my night action last night.

Blizihguh - Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp - Feels like they're fence sitting every time I see them post, I feel like with the way they post they should be quick to conclusions especially on polar topics(like the early phoopes wagon or the tommy vs Psy thing) but it feels like they're consistently both sides'ing topics in the thread and that's a bad look in my eyes.

20. HydrogenHydreigon - Caffeine - I feel like town!hydro has more presence in these games and I've barely seen anything from him this game. CUT - apparently he caused the Tommy neighbourising Psy and Bliz thing, if I understood it correctly? I think the claim looks townie with context, hmm.

6. ShyPebble - Amorpha Fruticosa - I read through ShyPebble's ISO and it feels more like asking questions while standing on the sidelines. I don't think they're inactive, I do think that they're not proactive though, and I feel like that's worth a vote here.

17. saberslasher11 - Wikipedia:Unusual Articles - I'm mentioning saber here since apparently he's a counterwagon to me? I guess this is bad of me to say but I don't feel confident about voting him? I think this is the first time I've seen him try to make reads on people consistently even if the logic doesn't check out. I've been baited into misvoting town!Saber before and if anything it feels like he's playing better than he usually does.


10. des121 - Cold Case, 3. a fairy - Wikipedia:Long-Term Abuse ,9. AirC - Emu War, 13. liquidrelief - Godspeed You! Black Emperor are all null to me. I guess airC should be townread here for not being any different from the last game but I find airC's style to be inherently hard to read.


2. pulsar512b - MK Ultra - I kinda liked her trying to dig into the interactions with Tommy's role tbh, I also think that the rolespec is in line with her town meta where she really likes to talk about the role stuff openly. Town read.

8. Dead by Daylight - Liz Truss Lettuce - I feel like it would be weird for scum!DbD to defend inactive me when he could just let the push go through on me? He's a townread for me. I think there's weird stuff like trying to read interactions with a possible scum! genisu by voting genisu first but uh, I think that's normal for him as both alignments so I wouldn't read into that.


11. phoopes - Winnie the Pooh's Home Run Derby - I thought he was town last phase, kinda feels like he fell off. Still a town lean, and the empower claim is more brownie points, but ngl the ISO feels like he's mostly had talk about the role interaction today. Is this really all that's happened this phase? Still a town lean though.

12. genisu - David Goggins - Idc what you guys say I'm dying on the town!genisu hill.

realiti ngl but why tf are you tunneling on me? Like I get that I've been inactive but is that all you've got for reads, don't feel confident about this one.

18. Peum - SCP Foundation - I ended up reading this and not feeling any different, bias says I should probably scumread him for voting me though. ISO suggests that they're voting me they were convinced of pebble not being a good vote but uh, I don't think it checks out much.

StupidFlandrs48 - I think Flandrs has got into enough spats for me to town read him here, I think he just can't replicate that come at me bro energy as scum.
 
I have not mentioned Tommy or Psy because genuinely I can't be asked to read the entire day again to understand if this is actually a 1v1 or not.


HOWEVER I am here for the next 4 hours, let's chat folks.

I just read your post with a reads list and you have psy as a townread whereas tommy is nowhere there. Excluding the role interaction stuff, do you think that Tommy isn't in his town range? Because I think he's there currently.

I'm confused on your lynch list, if its me, Bliz, and Hydro and you have Hydro listed as townie with context, is that just me and bliz at this point?

Additionally, this is my third game overall, and you frequently commented in other games together that I feel like an observer to you/on the sidelines, because I ask a lot of questions. I feel like asking questions is proactive, not the like term definition things but the other stuff I've asked about mechanics/interactions. I've also thrown out some reads unprompted as well. And claimed the death thingy thing at the start of phase. So what is the threshold for proactiveness in your opinion?

most of his behavior is NAI but I remember his feeling townier after he got "outed" by psy. I didnt write it down in words and id have to review but I dont have a confident opinion
