You literally mentioned saber's IC in the post above mine. I was writing that from the perspective that joey's first act is going to be to get in the hood and be like "pls someone explain shit to me i subbed in on day fucking six"

I am with a student now so my thoughts are gonna be slower
 
I have been reading and keeping along with the game, though I glossed over a lot of specifics so I don't exactly have reads or anything yet

I specifically have not been talking in the neighborhood because I don't want my perspective to be biased by my audience there

My main thought is still just "why didn't we lynch des yesterday" frankly. Really not thrilled to have her around in what is almost certainly LyLo. She's been the talk of the town for like three days and at this point it's a certainty that mafia have been deliberately directing lynches as far away from her as possible. Obviously I think it's noteworthy that Tommy has been on every single town wagon except D2, and I think he has done his best to get credit for the bd lynch without being a huge factor in it. Meanwhile with des he's acknowledged that she's scummy repeatedly but has never actually committed to the bit, so now she's sitting here in LyLo. Anyway I promise I will not spend this entire post slagging off Tommy lol

I think the most likely explanation here is just that des is getting saved by her team repeatedly. Sometimes scum will want to save a particularly goofy player for LyLo but I don't think there's any way that happens when the goofy player is a claimed cop. So the question is, who organized to make this happen over the last two days?

genisu (8) - DBD, Psy, Flandrs, Tommy, Peum, ShyPebble, a fairy, pulsar
pulsar (4) - saber, phoopes, genisu, AirC

phoopes (7) - des, Tommy, pulsar, AirC, Psy, saber, ShyPebble
des (5) - Bliz, DBD, Flandrs, phoopes, a fairy

Hard confirmed in green, Flandrs in blue because they could be scum specifically with pulsar. There are presumably four scum left. The POE of "Tommy Des Psy Joey Pulsar" looks really good to me. Tommy/Psy had this weird 1v1 thing early on but for the past few days they've actually been very aligned. Psy scum actually makes a few things click here: a lot of scum theater early on ensures that they're suitably distanced, so when they start voting together and people don't really process that they're aligned. Psy has been pretty well positioned here and widely townread; almost certainly at least one scum will look like that given the gamestate rn. Getting in a hood with Flandrs, hard pocketing him, and then townclearing him actually seems like a really strong scum move.

At this point I want to start thinking about ways that this POE could be wrong. I will warn you that I have to go be with another student in about 8 minutes and I am just going to hit send on this post no matter what it looks like when that happens.

First off, is there a world where des is not scum? I think no, because again, she claimed cop and (assuming my role works at all) mafia did not even attempt to touch her N3 or N4. That alone is enough for me, even setting aside the fact that she forgot to use her cop ability for the entire game even after claiming.

Is there a world where Pulsar is not scum? Seems unlikely: they were on Phoopes, and I don't want to read a ton into the bd wagon at this point bc it's clearly misled me before, but pulsar notably was not on bd. But I do think it's possible! We do start running into POE problems though. Pulsar town means Flandrs town. I think DBD is pretty clearly good at this point so the POE would lead to AirC I think. If pulsar is town then the genisu/pulsar lynch is irrelevant, but the phoopes lynch is extremely relevant. For most of this game I've had AirC in the box of "this person doesn't analyze mafia games in the same way I do but I think that's NAI." Maybe it's causing me to miss when them saying something weird is actually scummy. AirC did also vote Liquid over DBD but again I think that was t/t wagons so not super relevant.

Okay I have to go be in class I have no idea whether any of that analysis is good bc I don't have time to double check it. If I missed something obvious please point it out lol

I keep swaying between this or just des is confused town. Des' role claim yesterday keeps throwing me off.
Idt Pulsar still has any towncred after the roleclaim still.

I think some players just have inherent "confused townie" energy regardless of alignment. Do you think there's any world where des is town and mafia don't at least try to roleblock her or something N3 or N4? Like the only way I see this happening is if mafia genuinely do not have any disruptive power between them, which...
