NOC WikiMafia 2 Game Thread [Day 6]

The neighborhood chat isn't that interesting, I mean there's pretty clearly very little trust between Flandrs/Tommy/Psy so it's not like there was anything revolutionary discussed there

Also it was not exactly a friendly conversation so not a fun read LMAO

I am still developing my reads on people especially those I haven't interacted with yet so I don't have a lot of evidence for a POE. If I'm being honest I have very few townreads of the living players which is a strange feeling, I normally have too many townreads and have to shift my reads down to make a POE I feel

These are vaguely ordered in my degree of confidence in the reads

saber IC

I'm going to put des in town for now even though I feel there is (and always will be) very little to go off of

AirC I'm scumreading at the present

Flandrs I'm pretty okay with. I think his content is decent although I don't like how he's going for des. But he isn't the only one and I do feel like this aligns with Flandrs town gameplay still.

I'm conflicted on Bliz/Tommy, I see worlds where this is T/S and worlds where this is S/S but I'm leaning away from worlds where this is T/T. I do feel like analyzing your content towards each other is going to be a huge part of solving this game.

This leaves pulsar, a fairy, DBD. I need to do closer ISOs of these 3 but in my most likely scenario there are 2 scum in these 3.

My understanding

Her role is two parts, "Casting" and "Cop"

"Casting" - Des targets PLAYER1. If PLAYER1 uses an action on Des, Des and PLAYER1 both die. I previously interpreted this as "Des targets PLAYER1, if PLAYER1 uses an action on Des both players are affected by that action", but rereading her original post it sounds like the former? But the latter makes much more sense to me as an actual action.

"Cop" (not an actual cop in any way, just called that) - Des targets PLAYER2. If PLAYER2 is not targeted by any other actions that night, PLAYER2 will be given a small piece of host-confirmed information.

However des claims to have idled the "Cop" 3 times and it has failed the other 2 times so we don't have any of the information.

Her actions:
"Casting": (all succeeded, but no results/nothing happened)
N1: pulsar
N2: DBD
N3: Flandrs
N4: Idle
N5: Flandrs

"Cop":
N1: Idle
N2: DBD, failed
N3: Idle
N4: Idle
N5: Flandrs, failed

Didn't we "confirm" that one of bliz/tommy is scum due to the lover thingy?
 
peum could link two people together if A died then B died with them, for a full cycle
we had a day where tommy and bliz were linked (iirc hard confirmed by peum)
we ended up not voting them and then mafia didnt off either overnight so both survived the linking

I don't remember well enough the earlier lover things, but for Tommy/Bliz they got linked during D4/N4 (pretty sure Bliz died if Tommy died, but not the other way around). Pebble made the comment that one of them probably is scum otherwise Tommy would have been killed during N4, giving away 2 kills to scum.
 
I don't know if we can draw concrete conclusions from that given that TP and watch/lookout style roles would've probably been all over them at the time as well
 
That being said I don't think the conclusion itself that there is at least one scum between them is necessarily wrong I just don't think that's the path to prove it

This is especially true if only one of them dying would've caused the other to also die which sounds like it was the case?

Yeah, bliz died if tommy died but tommy wouldn't die if bliz died.
I don't really see what you mean tho, killing bliz alone doesn't amount to much, apart putting Tommy in a really bad position, if both of them are town might as well get the double kill

What I mean is that to get the double kill maf would have to target specifically bliz, which means town roles would be aware that they should protect or watch bliz

Which starts a whole WIFOM for maf on whether they should go for it or not

So I don't mean to totally discount the theory but I would put more stake in thread reads on them than this mechanic

Wait this is actually a huge surprise to me. That's certainly the impression I had early but later on Psy seemed to be siding with Tommy a lot, discussing stuff in there, and I think Flandrs has been aligned with them for a while?
