Kleavor chops it up in Monotype! Thanks to its excellent attack stat, solid speed, and the invaluable combination of Sharpness and Stone Axe, Kleavor finds a spot as a Choice Scarf user on Bug-type teams. With Choice Scarf, Kleavor is able to outspeed and OHKO Pokemon that would otherwise massively threaten Bug teams, such as Cinderace and Ogerpon-Hearthflame. U-turn is an excellent pivoting option that allows Kleavor to easily get in its sweeper teammates, such as Volcarona and Scizor. Close Combat helps clear the way of Steel-types such as Heatran and Hisuian Goodra, notably giving Volcarona a very easy time against the rest of the team. X-Scissor can be used in order to take advantage of Sharpness and OHKO threats such as Choice Specs Greninja and Choice Band Meowscarada without having to switch out after. However, Night Slash is another option that deals with Gholdengo and Dragapult. Forretress is a great teammate for Kleavor, as it can remove hazards with Rapid Spin, allowing Kleavor to come in frequently, apply additional hazard support with Spikes, and use Thunder Wave to ensure Kleavor outspeeds opposing Choice Scarf users, such as Enamorus.
