[SET COMMENTS]
Thanks to its great defensive capabilities enhanced by Regenerator and access to utility moves like Wish and Flip Turn, Alomomola solidifies itself as a premier Wish passer and a decent physical wall on stall and semi-stall teams. Alomomola's high physical bulk lets it take hits from the strongest of physical attackers in the metagame like Koraidon, Arceus, Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, Ho-Oh, and Calyrex-I. Wish + Flip Turn is Alomomola's defining trait, making it function as a Wish passer for walls without reliable recovery such as Ting-Lu, Dondozo, and Alolan Muk and also bringing in frailer teammates like Calyrex-Shadow and Ditto safely. Protect scouts Choice item users like Choice Specs Kyogre and Choice Band Koraidon and ensures Alomomola can heal itself with Wish without any risk of getting KOed. Play Rough 2HKOes Koraidon, which could otherwise set up Swords Dance and less frequently, Substitute. However, Koraidon can Terastallize into Fire- or Steel-type and render Alomomola helpless. Scald alternatively wards off most physical attackers from the fear of burn, bar Tera Fire users. Heavy-Duty Boots is vital for Alomomola to switch in repeatedly through the course of the game, unaffected by entry hazards which would otherwise whittle down Alomomola slowly. Tera Fairy provides a crucial immunity to Koraidon's Outrage and Scale Shot, as well as a resistance to Close Combat. Additionally, Tera Fairy-boosted Play Rough OHKOes Koraidon after a defense drop from Scale Shot or Close Combat. However, it comes with the cost of losing resistance to Fire-type moves like Koraidon's Flare Blitz and Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire, and gaining a weakness to Zacian-C's Behemoth Blade and Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike.

Alomomola best fits on stall and semi-stall teams that appreciate a blanket check for a plethora of physical attackers. As Alomomola's special bulk is subpar, it is vulnerable to strong special attackers like Calyrex-S, Miraidon, and Kyogre. Ting-Lu is a great partner that can handle Miraidon and Calyrex-S and benefits from Wish extending its longevity. It also sets Spikes, which helps to limit switch-ins from threats like Swords Dance Koraidon. Similarly, other special walls like Eternatus, Tera Grass Ho-Oh and Blissey assist in checking Kyogre, Miraidon and Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy. In return, Alomomola switches in to dangerous physical attackers like Koraidon, Swords Dance Arceus, Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, and Calyrex-Ice. However, wallbreakers like Choice Band and Life Orb + Swords Dance variants of Koraidon, Tera Flying Ho-Oh, and Swords Dance Zacian-C are capable of breaking past Alomomola without much difficulty. Thus, Unaware walls like Skeledirge and Dondozo that alleviate the pressure off Alomomola by checking Zacian-C and Koraidon are good teammates. Meanwhile, Alomomola can stall out the Koraidon's sun with Protect, giving Skeledirge and Dondozo an easier time, while also reducing Dondozo's dependency on Rest by providing Wish support. Also, Garganacl checks Tera Flying Ho-Oh and is immune to Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire burns and Eternatus's Toxic thanks to Purifying Salt. Gliscor is valuable for absorbing Knock Off and status from opposing Gliscor, Eternatus and Clodsire. It also checks Taunt Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, which can stop Alomomola from using Wish and set up using Tera Fire. Ditto and Encore Calyrex-S are fantastic teammates for revenge killing threats like Swords Dance Zacian-C and halting set up sweepers respectively, thereby reducing the stress on Alomomola. Furthermore, Alomomola brings them in safely with Flip Turn and passes Wish.

Rocky Helmet is an alternative item choice on teams with entry hazard control like Defog Mandibuzz. Notably, the chip compounded by Brave Bird's recoil makes Alomomola have a much better time against Ho-Oh. Leftovers prevents a 2HKO from Adamant Nature Koraidon's Outrage or Scale Shot with 5 hits and makes use of Protect to get slightly more recovery. Similarly, Tera Rock lets Alomomola wall Tera Flying Ho-Oh conveniently while adding an Extreme Speed resist. However, due to such teams being limited and Tera Rock's demerits in leaving Alomomola weak to Koraidon's Low Kick and Arceus-Ground's Earthquake, the aforementioned options are rarely used. Tickle is useful against Tera Fire users like Bulk Up Arceus, Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM and Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground lacking Taunt. Furthermore, the defense drop comes in handy for Alomomola's teammates like Ditto to revenge kill threats such as Swords Dance Arceus. Play Nice can be used in place of Tickle as it bypasses Substitute, while Chilling Water is effective against Taunt users like Arceus-Ground and Arceus. However, using these moves comes at the expense of being unable to threaten Koraidon and needs additional support from teammates to deal with Swords Dance Koraidon.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Special Wallbreakers**: Due to Alomomola's mediocre special defense, it is easily threatened by common special wallbreakers like Calyrex-S, Miraidon, and Kyogre, all of which are capable of OHKOing it and taking advantage of its passivity to set up.

**Tera Fire Users**: Tera Fire users like Swords Dance Koraidon, Bulk Up Arceus, Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, and Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM safely set up on Alomomola without worrying about Scald burns after Terastallization.

**Substitute Users**: Tera Steel Koraidon and Zacian-C often carry Substitute, which lets them set up freely. Furthermore, they can't be revenge killed by Ditto.

**Knock Off Users**: Knock Off users like Gliscor and Necrozma-DM greatly limit Alomomola's entry as losing Heavy-Duty Boots means it can no longer pivot without being chipped by entry hazards like Spikes and Toxic Spikes.

**Toxic Users**: Toxic users like Eternatus, Clodsire and Gliscor can cripple Alomomola, severely affecting its longevity.

However, wallbreakers like Choice Band and Life Orb + Swords Dance variants of Koraidon, Tera Flying Ho-Oh, and Tera Electric Zacian-C are capable of breaking past Alomomola without much difficulty. (I would remove the mention of Tera Electric for Zacian-C because Alomomola can struggle to deal with Swords Dance Zacian-C even without Tera Electric without the help of an unaware user or a revenge killer to flip turn in to.) Thus, Unaware walls like Skeledirge and Dondozo that alleviate the pressure off Alomomola by checking Zacian-C and Koraidon are good teammates. However, due to such teams being limited and Tera Rock's demerits in leaving Alomomola weak to Koraidon's Low Kick and Arceus-Ground's Earthquake, neither options are often used. (I would put the mention of Tickle here so that is flows nicely in to the mention of play nice.) Play Nice can be used in place of Tickle that bypasses Substitute, while Chilling Water can still be used against Taunt users like Arceus-Ground and Arceus. Chilling Water is ineffective against Covert Cloak Necrozma-DM, and Play Nice misses out on the defense drop which makes revenge killing harder. (I would mention leftovers here as another option, Leftovers allows you to avoid getting 2HKO'd by adamant 5 hit Koraidon scale shot and outrage and allows Alomomola to get a little bit more hp recovery on protect turns.)

**Tera Fire Users**: If not carrying Tickle, Tera Fire users like Bulk Up Arceus, Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, and Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM safely set up on Alomomola without worrying about Scald burns after Terastallization. (I would remove the mention of tickle here and add a mention of sd Tera Fire Koraidon.)

**Status Users**: Toxic users like Eternatus, Clodsire and Gliscor can cripple Alomomola with Toxic, severely affecting its longevity.
