Wo-Chien @ Leftovers
Ability: Tablets of Ruin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy / Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Def / 148 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Protect / Giga Drain
Wo-Chien finds itself a niche in Battle Stadium Singles as an Arceus check that isn't terrified of its partner Calyrex-S. Foul Play uses Arceus's massive Attack against it, while being a STAB Dark-type attack allows it to threaten Calyrex-S before it terastallizes. The Special Defense investment allows it to survive a Draco Meteor from Choice Specs Miraidon. Thanks to the passive damage and longevity of Leech Seed, especially when paired with Leftovers, Wo-Chien excels at dismantling bulky cores. Foes like Ting-Lu and Dondozo will be put on a fast-ticking timer while Wo-Chien siphons massive amounts of HP for itself via Leech Seed. Wo-Chien can augment this pressure with Giga Drain over Protect, which grants it even more recovery and the ability to more directly damage these targets. Tera Fairy allows Wo-Chien to handle some otherwise problem matchups, such as Scale Shot Koraidon and Chien-Pao, while Tera Fire is excellent against Ho-Oh. This Wo-Chien fits best on bulkier teams that employ a fast attacker to clean weakened teams. To that end, it appreciates help from other bulky staples such as Ting-Lu and Garganacl, who can assist it in weakening the opponent for something like Koraidon or Calyrex-S.
