Wonderguard testing

apparently Fire Fang can hit through Wonderguard. It probably won't make much of a difference unless Competitor strikes up another april fools day, but can anyone test if this trick works on all of Shedinja's weaknesses/out of battle?

Thats probably because, oh, Shedinja is weak to fire.

GameFAQs strikes with inanity again!

Tell them to check a type chart and a calendar. April 1st was about 4 months ago.
 
Maybe Wonderguard is now programmed to block only the moves that Shedinja is neutral/resistant against, so fire/rock/flying/dark/ghost goes through Wonderguard no matter who uses it?

I thought it was some idgit who forgot Wonder Guard (Shedinja's ability) is two words.

If you wanted to say "OMG I hacked a Spiritomb with Wonder Guard now I'm sad I'm not invincible WAAAAH!" I would have treated it with the same level of derision.
 
except that wasn't my topic, and I just reported it here because it's something outside of our knowledge.

anyway back to topic - does anyone here have an AR to test this theory out? >_>
 
Why does it matter? All a hacked Spiritomb is good for is getting through the Battle Tower. It's hardly legal for competitive play.
 
Thanks for reporting this, but we're gonna program Wonder Guard to work as we expect it to. The reason being is Nintendo can hardly be put at fault for programming an ability "wrong" when in reality, the only Pokemon who can get it is in fact weak to those types. I think the expected behavior in Competitor's feature to add your own Pokemon/change abilities is for Wonder Guard to work with the type the Pokemon is and not the type Shedinja is.

One hardly can use an AR to cite against this!
 
I dunno, it might've been done on purpose to block hackers, though it probably isn't likely

though I do like your idea better (with the customisation/whatnot for competitor). cheers!
