Wongilu's Might!

Hello there all.(first real post, ftw). This is my team that ive started testing.

Latias (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 2 HP/4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
- Energy Ball

Trick is for those annoying Set-up'ers who Baton pass into unstoppable monsters.Energy ball counters Swamperts.T-Bolt stops any Steel or Flying type leads (or late game sweepers if i can have enough time to switch).and Dragon Pulse to hit those pesky Dragons or grass types.Pretty Flexible, but it can be countered.I'll go over that later though.

Tyranitar (F) @ Shell Bell
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

I have this Awesome Guy for Late game sweeping.Crunch takes out Psychic types like Azelf, or evil Gengars provided i dont get Focus Blasted. Dragon Dance is optional because im often assaulted when I throw out T-tar, so i only power up when im positive i can take a hit.Stone Edge is for High Defence pokemon who Ice Punch and Crunches incredible coverage can't take. And ice punch is for Dragons that i switch in on (preferably to take an outrage hit).

Breloom (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderpunch

The Favorite of my team.I usually start with Spore, but if i can I'll substitute first. If a water or flying pokemon attacks me, I'll use T-Punch which is rather unusual for this set but I've taken several pokemon out with it. And needless to say Focus Punch all the other time.

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Extremespeed
- Aura Sphere
- Swords Dance

My Team Technician. Lucario, with its amazing typing can take some hits and dish out 2x more. It has the obvious Crunch.Extreme speed rather than bullet punch, some people dont realize that extreme speed has higher BP,but doesn't hit ghosts. That im perfectly ok with due to crunch. Aura sphere is for Blissey, a common OU threat, and other steel or normal types.and Sword dance when i have to.

Gengar (F) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

Another Awesome Pokemon.Taking advantage of Big Move Pools and amazing speed and Special Attack.Gengar can easily take on any pokemon in the OU tier and Do some major damage or take it out.I use the Petaya set to maximize it effectiveness. The Objective of Gengar is to outspeed pokemon and crush them using amazing coverage.

Gallade (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch

The "Icing to the Cake" of my team. You can easily see an ice team can wipe out half my team.So i added fire punch to a life orb gallade to end that.Earthquake for the All to common Steel and rock types.Zen Headbutt to close up the Fighting weakness on Gengar and Lucario. And Close combat to Quickly Dispatch the opposition.

Well thats my current team,Rate it, add suggestions.Even Put up a threat list to help me out. I look forward to reading your opinions.

You should post the thread list...

I suggest you to read around some more RMT posts from other people, so you learn what we prefer and use with the ratings, how you keep it nice.
Put some actual time in your Team, instead of, what it looks like, just smacking some cool poke's together and show it to others.

Latias (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 2 HP/4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse /Draco Meteor
- Energy Ball /Recover /Psychic /Wish

You can obviously use Latias as a lead, but I don't think this one is the example of a good one. If you're going on with Choice Scarf, Draco Meteor will be the great option over Dragon Pulse, since you're not going to be in for over 2 turns anyways.
Energy Ball only serves a singe purpose, taking Swampert out, whom will go down with a Draco Meteor in 2 hits too.
I suggest the use of either Wish or Recover over Energy Ball, since your team exist of very powerfull, and some pretty bulky pokemon. You need something to take a few hits, and the Wish Support might be nice. The problem is; Do you want Instant, or Supportive recovery?

I really think you should use Latias to be just a little more defensive, the set you might want to use, could be this one:

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt /Reflect
- Dragon Pulse
- Recover /Wish

This Latias is really, really bulky. It will easily set up the first Calm Mind. Dragon Pulse with some Calm Minds in the back, will severely hurt even the Steel types, which can be cought by Gallade and Lucario, and even Breloom anyways.

Tyranitar (F) @ Shell Bell
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

I really do not understand why you use a Defense Negative nature. This Tyranitar uses 0 Special Attacks, change your nature to Adamant, please. You're using it to take hits, but take away his bulk?
Further on, you don't realize either that using 1 Dragon Dance, you speed and attack will be increased by 50%. It's a move which is on your list to be heavilly abused, or to be negated and taken out for another move.
If you opt for taking it out, you have some cool options opened. You can start wearing a Choice Band, instead of Shell Bell, which is outclassed by LEFTOVERS. You can replace Dragon Dance with Pursuit, to get opposing Ghost types in a Check Mate position. Earthquake comes in too, since this set is walled by Steels. Ice Punch can be taken out for a Fire move. Fire Punch for example.

So the new set will be like:

Tyranitar (F) @ Choice Band /Leftovers /Life Orb
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Crunch /Pursuit
- Earthquake/ Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch /Flamethrower

Consider this.

Breloom (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Thunderpunch

Cool pokemon, standard set.

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Extremespeed /Mach Punch /Bullet Punch
- Aura Sphere /Close Combat
- Swords Dance

In this situation again, this Lucario doesn't abuse it's Set up move either. Sword Dance Doubles the power he possesses, so if you come in on a resisted hit, use Sword Dance, the opponent will have a huge problem.
The BP difference with Extreme Speed and Bulletpunch/Vacuum Wave/Mach Punch is only 20BP, due to STAB. Both Bullet Punch and Mach Punch have greater coverage than Extreme Speed.
You want to use either Priority move over Extreme Speed.
Close Combat is just better than Aura Sphere on a psychical set.
Cruch is good.

Gengar (F) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

Good 'N Standard

Deleted Gallade, you don't/can't use 3 Fighting Types in one team, specially if neither of them does something important.

Your team lacks Stealth Rocks, consider a Stealth Rock lead, Gliscor or Swampert.
I advise you to reconsider one more of your fighters, and use the http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/team_builder/ Team Builder.

Kind Regards,
Daan

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Extremespeed
- Aura Sphere
- Swords Dance

My Team Technician. Lucario, with its amazing typing can take some hits and dish out 2x more. It has the obvious Crunch.Extreme speed rather than bullet punch, some people dont realize that extreme speed has higher BP,but doesn't hit ghosts. That im perfectly ok with due to crunch. Aura sphere is for Blissey, a common OU threat, and other steel or normal types.and Sword dance when i have to.

Why the hell do you have Aura Sphere? Aura Sphere is a special move, and it doesn't do shit to Blissey. It gets NO boost from Swords Dance. If you want to run the Choice Specs set, use this:

Lucario@ Choice Specs
Inner Focus
Timid
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
-Aura Sphere
-Dark Pulse
-HP Ice/HP Rock
-Vacuum Wave

There you go. This set is a little on the surprise factor, because everyone uses SD Luc nowadays. So Aura Sphere for STAB, and with Dark Pulse you get impeccable coverage. Combined with HP Ice, you can hit those Pesky Dragons, or you can opt for HP Rock to hit those Gyarados. Vacuum Wave for some priority STAB.

If you want to use Swords Dance Luc, use Close Combat over Aura Sphere.

Also, your team is WRECKED by Gengar, who can come into anything using a fighting move, then wreck your entire team with their respective moves. Also, ScarfLatias is really your only hope.

I would hate to do this to you, but Scizor fits well into this team. You can get him in on a Shadow Ball, and Bullet Punch or Pursuit.

Scizor@ Choice Band
Technician
Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spe
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit

You know how it works.

Also, you are lacking something huge. Stealth Rock is probably the most critical thing in today's metagame, and it is critical you find it on your team. I think Swampert does a much better job then Latias as a lead, as Latias is just going to get pulverised by a Tyranitar who will switch into a Thunderbolt and Pursuit you.

Good Luck.

Gallade (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch

I dont see why he has a lonely nature, it is only taking away the little defense he has. I suggest putting on either an adamant(+atk,-spatk) or jolly(+spe,-spatck) scince he has no use for spatk.

Gallade (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt / Night Slash
- Fire Punch Ice Punch / Stone Edge

Gallade wants an Adamant (+Atk, -Sp Atk) or Jolly (+Spd, -Sp Atk) nature, as he is too frail in defenses to begin with.
Consider Night Slash over Zen Headbutt for better coverage: such as hitting Slowbro.

Also, you'll want Ice Punch over Fire Punch so you can hit Flying and Dragon-types. You said you wanted to get rid of Ice-types with Fire Punch, but Close Combat does that as well.

Lastly, consider Stone Edge in conjunction with Earthquake to hit those Flying-types if you decide not to run Ice Punch for whatever reason.

I knew i was missing something.... I forget to change the natures from lonely most of the time and should have seen that, I apoligize. My mind was blank when choosing aura sphere. Ill perhaps change it to Close combat. I really avoid using Scizor because its on every team just about. But I might consider it over Gallade and change my move sets appropriatly. And i'll steal KG's Threat List :p......

One thing I noticed immediately was your Latias. I've never used one before, but I'm thinking Draco Meteor might be a better option over Dragon Pulse. As pointed out earlier, your Latias won't last long so you need all the power you can get. Also, I'm not quite sure why Energy Ball is there. You should probably run surf to deal with common fire leads like Infernape/Heatran, or do more damage against steels.
