Woot Woot Spikes!

Well hello there smogon its JxKirbz with his second RMT!
So please bare with me if i dont go into to much detail or if i make any slight mistakes with my pokemons Evs other than that hope you enjoy and you can give me any good pointers on my team.

The Lead:
swampert.png

Swampert@Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Evs: 252HP 252DEF 4SP.ATK
Nature: Relaxed
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake

For some reason i just really like using lead swampert its my favourite OU lead and seems to get the job done for me (Which is laying up rocks), i mean what more would you want from a really bulky that some people find hard to kill and can come in extremely useful midgame although i have to be careful since some leads carry HP grass for this guy which can get rather annoying.

The spiker:
skarmory.png

Skarmory@Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
Evs: 252hp 252sp.def 4def
Nature: Careful
-Taunt
-Spikes
-Roost
-Whirlwind
Well as you could see from the title of the team it involves spikes and this is the spiker ive decided to choose, i picked skarm because well its the only spiker with the reliable recovery move plus it can learn taunt!
Taunt is what i love on this thing it can stop lead pert for instants from roaring you out and will allow you to set up a free layer of spikes or maybe on prediction you can taunt a gliscor which would just shut down the stallbreaker set!
Whirlwind is for phazing and seeing what my opponent has for a skarm check, spikes well for more pain! And roost is for well recovery.

The Trick Absorber:
tyranitar.png

Tyranitar@Choice Scarf
Ability:Sand Stream
Evs: 4HP 252atk 252speed
Nature: Jolly
-Crunch
-Superpower
-Pursuit
-Stone Edge

t-tar is something this team really needs i mean without this thing i have no lucario unless my opponent has something that is not crunch as their last move then im kinda safe but well this thing is the trick absorber and can get rid of any pesky latias they normally switch into skarm as i taunt they then normally look themselves into a certain move and i then roost and depending on what they do i may switch into t-tar and just trap and kill it, t-tar also gets rid of some of those annoying Rapid Spinning starmies even though i happen to have a spin blocker more experienced players will more than likely predict the spin blocker too come in so i can effectively Crunch kill them!

The Pain:
latias.png

Latias@Life Orb
Ability:Levitate
Evs: 4def 252sp.atk 252speed
Nature: Timid
- Dragon Pulse
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power Fire
- Recover

Latias is annoying for most teams to deal with even if they do run a scarf tar but if ive already seen and assuming i have all three layers of spikes and stealth rock up on the field and i manage to predict the switch into the t-tar its gonna die to the Grass Knot, Hidden Power Fire is for any annoying scizors that think they can come in and U-turn or pursuit kill me but this latias does get worn down very quickly thanks to stealth rock, sandstorm and life orb which will force me too recover in some situations, other than that this latias can really hurt teams but it is countered by heatran but again assuming i have all three layers of spikes up i should be fine.

The Spin Blocker:
rotomheat.png

Rotom-H@Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252hp 120Def 136Sp.def
Nature: Bold
-Will-O-Wisp
-Discharge
-Rest
-Sleep talk

Well Considering i am using spikes im going to need a spin blocker that wont die that easily so i decided to pick Rotom-H and i also decided to use the RestTalking Set on smogon this thing can come in handy when im trying to scare off other skarms or Forretress fearing the electric and fire type move but i have to be careful when using will-o-wisp since people seem to switch in heatran quite alot plus the discharge para can come in handy in some situations whilst also scaring off some of the notably annoying bulky waters!

The Toxicer Thingy Substitute thing:
heatran.png

Heatran@Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4hp 252Sp.atk 252speed
Nature: Timid
- Fire Blast
- Toxic
- Earth Power
- Substitute

Well this is by far my favourite heatran set 2nd to the life orb sub set and then to torment tran but thats besides the point this things takes the fire attacks aimed at this team better than latias since latias doesnt enjoy taking fire Blasts from Scarf Tran and t-tar could get burned which would be rather annoying this things second purpose is to toxic stuff that i cant deal with or i want to ware down such as Vaporeon, Suicune, Swampert and the rare milotic which is very useful for me and i could then either sub or switch depending on what kind of position i am in.

Well thats it i would appreciate some pointers for my team!

This team is based around spikes, but you dont really have much to abuse the spikes with. Your really just wasting a spot for spikes, and another for a spin blocker, then putting a bunch of offensive pokemon to follow which dont benifit greatly from the aforementioned spikes.

But if you insist on staying with these members, i suggest switching skarmory's item to shed shell, and dropping taunt unless you want to run some speed, cause there isn't much you can outspeed and taunt with that spread, theres a set for taunt skarmory actually on smogon.

Move those 4 Special Attack EVs into Speed on Swampert to outspeed opposing Lead Swamperts.

I agree with the above poster, this team is based around Spikes, but it lacks a way of utilizing this form of entry hazards to it's advantage. While your team excells in terms of checking threats, offensively, it is lacking. This team will struggle to get past a well built Stall team. Swords Dance Lucario seems to fit your team perfectly. Choice Scarf Tyranitar on the team pairs wonderfully with Lucario's as it takes out Lucario's usual counters such as Rotom-A, Celebi, Magnezone and Zapdos; to clear the path for a Late Game sweep. Also, the fact that you have a two Pursuit weak Pokemon -- Latias and Rotom-A, helps Lucario out a lot since it would Lucario boasts a x4 resistance to Dark which creates opportunities for it to set-up. Heatran doesn't bring much to the table as Scizor is already countered by Rotom-H and every other threat Heatran checks is already kept at bay by the rest of team. The only reason why you would keep Heatran is because it is your CM Jirachi counter but by placing Earthquake over Superpower on Tyranitar to check CM Jirachi, Heatran can be replaced. Use this Lucario set instead of Heatran:

Lucario @ Life Orb | Inner Focus
Adamant | 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Close Combat | Bullet Punch | Close Combat | Swords Dance

Crunch isn't needed with Scarf TTar on the team. Bullet Punch is a smart move in the current metagame because it allows you to beat opposing Scarf Tyranitasr that are so commonly used as SD Lucario checks.

On Rotom-H, I would reccomend chaging your moveset to the Substitute set. Go for: Thunderbolt | Substitute | Shadow Ball | Will-o-Wisp with an EV Spread of 252 HP / 68 Def / 188 Spe. With this change, you can burn a potential Scarf Tyranitar switch-in when behind a Substitute, effectively switch-out taking less damage from Pursuit and go to Lucario so it can set-up with ease. This change will significantly increase Lucario's chances of sweeping and Rotom-H's survivability (it becomes much less vulnerable to Pursuit). Also, on Latias, I dislike the set you are running. This set was used before Scarf Tar became so popular because Latias could outspeed TTar. Anyway, this set is a bit outdated and is a bit hard to use effectively because of the fact that you have to predict to use Grass Knot and HP Fire well. I would suggest using a Choice Specs Latias as it is a solid partner to Lucario and works very well with Spikes and Stealth Rock. Specs Latias hits like a truck and nothing can avoid the 2HKO / OHKO of a Specs Draco Meteor especially with entry hazards support. Use Draco Meteor | Trick | Surf | Dragon Pulse / Thunderbolt which allows you to weakens Stall teams with it's hard hitting capabilities to the point where Lucario can sweep.

Good Luck.

sorry i didnt reply i kinda gave just because it didnt seem like anyone was saying anything else but that rotom set probably wont work since my team has no wish support and this gives rotom a recovery move so it can stay alive and since latias is going uber this team is going to probably be scrapped since i wont be able to use it but thanks for your time.
