"Worst Kalos Pokemon?" Thread

u talkin shit m8

Also, my opinions:
Competitive: Aurorous.
Design-Wise: The whole Fennekin Line.

I love how those are like two of my favorite Kalos pokemon, and you have no reasoning for your evident hatred of them. While Amaura/Aurorus are annoying due to 50 bazillion resistances, I LOVE the Rock/Ice typing. If you train their Def/Sp. Def in super training, they are a force to be reckoned with in-game. Now maybe Aurorus isn't useful in competitive battling; I don't know, that's not really my thing. But it can't be worse tha Dedenne!

And on to the Fennekin line, how do you not love their design?! Fennekin is a cool fox who only gets cooler by sanding up and looking boss, and pulling a freaking wand from its tail to attack!!! And then Delphox is just a complete and utter boss with that huge fur/dress thing that has a wand and everything.

So, my least favorites:
Competitive: Dedenne, I would give reasoning but everyone and their mother already has.
Design: Slurpuff. I just hate that stupid looking pink puff. I was really excited about Swirlix and Fairy-types in general, but Slurpuff and so many others have let me down. Come on, Game Freak!

Dedenne is the only gen6 pokemon I can think of that I don't like anything about. Aromatisse is the most disappointing since I was 100% convinced it'd be a plague doctor, but as unexpected as the turn its evolution took was, I don't dislike it. And I don't know what you guys are talking about Chesnaught is glorious. Delphox's dress and absurdly enormous ear fluff combo is a far more questionable design in my opinion.

Also since I am heavily biased in favor of Blastoise I'm a little pissed that Charizard was the only Kanto starter to get 2 different mega evolutions.

I actually love the Fennekin line. I love their designs, their typing, almost everything about them. Though I will admit Delphox looks really strange, it's mostly the face compared to say Braixen, and I have a bunch of other nitpicks, like: why isn't their Signature Move competitively useful when it easily could have been if they upped the BP to 80? Why isn't Braixen a Psychic type when it gets all those psychic moves and wand? And Delphox looks about 10-20 base speed points slower than it really is. But again, all and all I like the Fennekin line a lot.

Having said that, Chespn and co suuuuuck. I hate their designs aside from Chespin itself, their typing and stat distribution doesn't match, Chesnaught is desperate for good fighting moves pre-move reminder, not to mention its coloring is way off from its prevos, and their style, especially as grass starters, has been done to death and never actually worked.

And while I stated that I hate Dedenne, that hate also extends to every single new fairy except Xerneas and Sylveon. Such potential, so cruelly wasted on these terrible designs and overdone stat spreads. I remember even yelling at my 3DS when I entered the Fairy Gym and discovered that the first ever gym to represent the dragon slayer type... is a life-sized dollhouse. WHAT. Amaura's sins are negligible compared to Gamefreak's butchering of the Fairy Type.

FAIRY type...don't know what you were expecting

I was expecting some Mysticism, maybe something about life like an oasis, or what the 7th gym turned out to be. Or if they were going to go the route they did, some creativity, like a candy-themed level or something out of disney. Magical or mystical, not a bland dollhouse.

You all may hate Dedenne, but it is a fact that it's the only Pokemon to resist all three of Yveltals offensive moves (Dark Pulse, Air Slash and Focus Blast) and is iirc only 4HKOed with full defense investments.

To answer the question, every MegaPokemon can fuck off, and die.

Dedenne, both use-wise and design-wise. I just dislike Pika-clones in general, and it's not cute at all compared to stuff like Whimsicott. Oh, and Florges, it goes from a rather adorable looking little flower nymph thing (Floette) to an ugly rat-nosed thing, and it STILL doesn't become part Grass type, despite being "one with it's flower".

Poor aesthetic design:
Barbaracle, Chesnaught, diggersby, megaheracross, megascizor, megalatios (if real)

Poorest design execution:
Florges (not grass), talonflame (swords dance for no reason broke it), dedenne (effortless pikaclone), delphox (ear fluff), aromatisse (might be an interesting design if you can look past the corny cabaret theme that was intended for it), Barbaracle

Poorest functionality:
Dedenne, carbink, aurorus

All things considered: Barbaracle may be the most poorly designed thing in the history of mankind, and while it's not the worst functionally speaking, it still sucks. Therefore it is the worst kalos pokemon in my opinion.

But I love Barbaracle! Sure it can't use tough claws with Rock STAB but it gets shell smash and is a pretty cool design. When Barbaracle uses its head it can lend a hand! Our high five its its smack in the face. It has the most awesome thumb wars ever. If it knew Headbutt and Force Palm they'd be the same thing.

I do have a thing against water types, especially physical ones, that don't get waterfall though. HM utility is so nice to have.

I think Barbaracle is dreadful.
It;s basically 5 heads jammed into one body like those outdated robot anime.

You are a genius. Aesthetically, the people at Game Freak messed up with Mega Garchomp. It's supposed to be an aerodynamic, super-fast land-shark. Then they give it scythes for hands, and make it a far more cumbersome design. It's amazing in battle, don't get me wrong. I'm actually thinking about using M-Garchomp on my team. I just find the drastic change in build annoying. Competitively? "ALL ABOARD THE DEDENNE BANDWAGON!"

Well that's...explicitly what it is (7, actually. The shoulders, the hands, the legs and the head)

And for that it's kind of amazing and i wish that other multiple head pokemon (LOOKING AT YOU DUGTRIO) did something like this.
e: well not explicitly like this but just something different than "now there's two/three of them on the body"

I mean I don't know about you guys but when I first saw Binacle I expected something like dugtrio. There'd be a third binacle head, they might have a slightl different shape, and sticking out of either a bigger rock or maybe like a rounded rock or something.
Taking the weird gathering aspect of barnacles and making them join together into something like a robot is awesome

Personally I was just disappointed when I rotated Barbaracle in the pokedex and discovered it didn't have the same faces on its feet. It seemed like there should be, the feet look about the same as the hands, and that would have been a.) a valid explanation of why it looks so disgruntled, and b.) hilarious.

I cannot dislike it because Barbaracle overall is hilarious.

Carbink is not useless. It has the same stats as Aegislash-Shield, except 10 less HP and Speed.
Carbink can set up Dual Screens.
Look at how weel Carbink can wall:
252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Sacred Sword vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Carbink: 71-84 (23.3 - 27.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Alakazam Psychic vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Carbink: 97-115 (31.9 - 37.8%) -- 0.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Adaptability Mega Lucario Bullet Punch vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Carbink: 224-272 (73.6 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Mega Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Carbink: 127-150 (41.7 - 49.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Mewtwo Y Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Carbink: 132-156 (43.4 - 51.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ Atk Arceus Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Carbink: 268-316 (88.1 - 103.9%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4+ SpD Carbink: 107-126 (35.1 - 41.4%) -- 75.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
It can harm other pokemon, too.
0 SpA Carbink Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Hydreigon: 264-312 (81.2 - 96%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Carbink Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tyranitar: 116-140 (28.7 - 34.6%) -- 8.3% chance to 3HKO
0 SpA Carbink Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Scrafty: 208-252 (76.7 - 92.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Ehhh... I've gotta go with Aromatisse. I liked Spritzee, and was well and ready to use it in-game. I mean, Spritzee is actually pretty cute, and looked like a solid mon, from appearance alone. But then... the evolution reveal. I actually drew back from the computer when I saw it. The thing is so ugly, it's not even funny. It's pretty good competitively, though, and is really good in doubles, but I just can't get over that design. That and the fact that it's a trade evolution, which can be hard to get.

I think that Avalugg is the worst ice type pokemon ever it was horrible stats but it's defense is off the roof.IS THIS SOME KIND OF ICEBERG CROCODILE GLACIER THING!

I may be jumping on the bandwagon, but the only Kalos Pokemon that I don't like in terms of practical use or design is Dedenne.

I honestly thing avalugg has one of the better stat spreads of the ice types. Not the best certainly but nowhere near the worst.

In fact if it weren't for its type avalugg would probably be up there as one of the best pokemon this gen (in my eyes at least).
