3v3 NFE Doubles (Training Battle)
DQ: 2 days
Recover: 2
Chill: 4
Arena: Accepter's choice.
Switch = Ok
1 Ability
Items = On
Arena: Time Traveller's Forest
Field Type: Diverse
Complexity: Intense
Format: All
Restrictions: Weather moves won't work.

Description:
A simple little grove in the middle of a forest, with a 50m clearing in the middle. A river runs silently off to the side of the arena, about 2.5m deep and 3m wide, and sunlight flutters softly down onto this picturesque scene. So, what make this arena so special?

Time Travel.

At the beginning of every round, Celebi shows up (Non-catchable) and shifts everyone from the current timeline to a random alternate (Schroeder's Cat Principle. It's Quantum Physics, hard to explain). The potential timelines are:

- Natural Life: The starting arena. Call it home if you like, because it'll be the only promise of comfort you'll get. No special effects.
- Forest Fire: Tiger, Tiger, burning bright... All Fire Moves enjoy a +2BP Boost, while Water Moves suffer a -2BP Boost. In adition, all pokemon unused to the intense heat with have -1 Accuracy.
- Industrialization: Welcome to the Streets. Desolate for as far as the eye can see, nothing but concrete and iron under the harsh street lamps of the Big City. The river and all the trees are gone, and Seismic Activity and Dig are unusable. Steel, Poison and Electric types are right at home, and have the Energy cost reduced of all moves by 2.
- Drought: Sunlight, so harsh it burns. The trees have lost their leaves, and offer little to no relief to wary battlers. All Grass-Types will be treated as if they have Solar Power, as well as their normal abilities. Water-types will also be treated as if they have Dry Skin.
- Storm: Thunderbolts and Lightning, very very Frightening! The river has flooded, and everyone has about 50cm of water around their ankles! This impedes foot-movement, and all moves that require going up and striking your opponent to have negative priority. Flying types, Levitators and Water-types are able to ignore this, due to their ability to avoid/thrive in watery conditions.
- Deadland: The river dried up, and the land died with it. Nothing but Sand as far as the eye can see, which isn't very far, with the giant Sandstorm in your face. Pokemon uncomfortable with Desert conditions have -1 Accuracy.
- Snowbound: Welcome to a Winter Wonderland. Weather is Snowing (Hail, without the damage per Action). Pokemon unfit for Winter conditions will move slower than normal.
- Midnight in a Perfect World: Identical to Natural Life, but during the Night. Because of the tranquility, a sense of peace befalls all Pokemon; Chilling regains 10 health as well as 18% Energy, and Recoveries are 15% more effective, and will work with their maximum level of effectiveness. This peace also affects a Pokemon's fighting prowess; All Pokemon lose 1 Rank in both Attacks for the duration of this Round.
- 1994 Kanto: Kicking it in the classic ASB Arena. Abilities are Disabled (Even Levitate), and the Physical/Special Split doesn't exist yet: A move targets the foe's Defence based on the move's Type.

And any other little place that may pop into the Ref's head, as long as it's simple.

Go, Malefic and Rex.

Malefic will start with Super Luck, and Rex with Guts.

Hah, you think I own useful items. I don't.

"Welcome home, kids. This is the place where I found you, isn't it, Duke? Let's kick them out of the forest."

Duke @Amulet Coin: Toxic (Murkrow) ~ Body Slam (Murkrow) ~ Rock Slide

SandGiant @Mental Herb: Calm Mind ~ AncientPower (Murkrow) ~ Extrasensory (Larvitar)
IF Murkrow would Bodyblock a3, swap a2 with a3.

[insert trainer sprite that I'll be getting at some point here]
"Hrm. That Vigoroth is going to be a problem, huh?"

Malefic: Thunder Wave (Duke) - Psychic (Duke) - Brave Bird (Duke)

Rex: Bulldoze - Assurance (Duke) - Brick Break (Duke)

I said i would do it ASAP.

I lied.

Because I saw a TF2 Update and played until around 3:30 in the morning.

It won't happen again until Halloween, I swear.

And it's the weekend, so there's no homework-pressure. Also, TF2 crashed. This time, ASAP really does mean, as soon as possible.

Round 1: Belated Binary Brawl

Duke spits an infernal gas from his mouth, badly poisoning Malefic with Toxic! That's gonna be annoying. For now, it's only a mild irritation to Malefic, who responds with a Thunder Wave, paralyzing him! At least status is easy to ref. SandGiant uses Calm Mind to raise his special attack and defense, but Rex doesn't seem to care about the Baltoy, Bulldozing Duke instead.

Malefic then uses its mystical powers to slam Duke against the floor with a Psychic attack, faster than the suddenly stereotypical sloth. SandGiant's on the offensive now though, firing off a deadly Ancientpower at Malefic! That's gotta sting. Rex keeps whaling on Duke with an Assurance, but he picks himself up and launches himself in the air, Body Slamming Malefic and paralyzing him right back! Oof.

Baltoy Extrasensory, Larvitar Brick Break, Vigoroth is fully paralyzed, Murkrow Brave Bird. It seems silly writing flavor when I'm so, so, so far behind.

The arena, through copious amounts of quantum physics and phlebotinum, is now Snowbound. It's hail without the "hitting you on the head" part. Also, have fun trudging through snow. Unless you're flying, in which case more power to you.

XVI's turn.

Umm, what arena are we in now? And the Stat boosts by 1.75 now. I've addressed it once before, but they haven't changed it over yet.

Round 2: I'M HERE I'M HERE PLEASE NO SUBREF (And Good Luck Finding One Anyway (Sorry Guys (Totally Thought I Finished Reffing This)))

SandGiant speeds ahead of the opposition, landing a deadly boosted Earth Power on Rex, who counters with a Torment, but it looks like SandGiant deals with that, munching on his Mental Herb. Malefic takes a leaf out of Duke's book with Mirror Move: Toxic, badly poisoning SandGiant! That's gonna be annoying, but here's Duke, perfectly unharmed, and he focuses all his chi and kung-fu skills into an OHSHIT FOCUS PAWNCH on Rex! Ouch.

Poor SandGiant, getting picked on by the dark-typed kids. Stand up for yourself with a Rock Tomb on Malefic, yeah! That seemed to have scared them off (and to have lowered the Murkrow's pathetic speed even further), so they turn their efforts to Duke, ganging up on him with some Assurance and Payback. Maybe Duke's gonna evolve soon, he just sits around and lets them smash him.

Another Earth Power from SandGiant. Rex thrashes around on the ground, creating tremors that Bulldoze his opponents, but Malefic flies above it and SandGiant floats over it, so, eh. Duke takes advantage of being horribly crippled to smack Malefic with a powerful Facade, but Malefic throws him around with finishing Psychic in return, KO'ing the behemoth at last!

The arena is now Drought! Don't think anyone cares too much though.

Round 3: Combee-ned Fire

Duchess enters the battlefield, and even with her disproportionately puny wings, she still eclipses the crippled Malefic and the naturally-sloth SandGiant and Rex, KO'ing the latter with a Mud-Slap to the face. SandGiant follows up with another Ancientpower at Malefic, who responds by incapacitating her in return with a Thunder Wave, paralyzing him!

SandGiant takes a breather and chills. Malefic Roosts in the lull of the battle, and Honeybuns sets up a Tailwind, doubling her team's speed!

Refreshed, SandGiant fires off another Ancientpower, and Duchess adds to the pain train with an Air Cutter. Malefic holds the line with an Assurance on SandGiant, and reinforcements are on the way, but the poor Murkrow looks like he's barely holding on.

XVI, poke and action time.

Go french word!

Waterfall - Payback - Waterfall (Baltoy)

Brave Bird - Brave Bird - Brave Bird (Combee)
IF (Dead) THEN (Die)

"Okay, seeing as you didn't roll for it, I'm going to assume that we're still in Drought, were the Sun is shining oh so brightly. And, unless my numbers are wrong, Baltoy is faster than Murkrow. Yay.

SandGiant: AncientPower (Murkrow) ~ UBER SOLARBEAM (SolarBeam/SolarBeam Combination, against Corphish) ~ Chill

Combee: Mud-Slap ~ Air Cutter ~ Mud Slap, all at Corphish
IF Paralyzed, then push actions along.

I am not typing "Écrevisse" with an aigu parce que je ne suis pas française. Hmph.

Also I assume you're using Shell Armor, because neither of his pokemon have any Attack-lowering moves, I don't think. If you want Hyper Cutter, too bad, I hate rolling for crits.

Also, sorry SS, we'll just say the arena is the same as the start.

Round 4: NOVEMBER FOOLS IT'S NOT ANOTHER TWO-WEEK DELAY

Malefic is KO'd by another Ancientpower from SandGiant. Dat Baltoy is tearing shit up. Also, I hate speed ties. Ecrevisse smashes into SandGiant in a Waterfall, but Duchess counters with a Mud-Slap, lowering the accuracy of Ecrevisse. I also hate rolling for less-than-100% accuracy moves. Bleh.

Fortunately, the next Payback hits true. Unfortunately, with no distractions, Duchess focuses her Air Cutter's full might on Ecrevisse, dealing some surprising damage...for a Combee. But nobody cares, because OHSHITSANDGIANTISAFIRINHISSolarbeam + SolarbeamLASERASDFASDLAUIFHDS! That hurt.

SandGiant rests a bit, more Mud-Slap and Waterfall, boring third action.

Poor Corphish, even the Arena is screwing him over. Welcome to the Deadland. Sandstorming, -1 Accuracy to everything that isn't a Baltoy, Deadland. Hooray.

Round 5: Poor Corphish

Ecrevisse takes an Earth Power to the face like a champ and Waterfalls SandGiant to death at last. God damn, that Baltoy did some serious work, but at last, it takes a well-deserved dirt nap, KO'd. Ecrevisse is KO'd herself an action later to Duchess's Air Cutter.
