Ok, so recently, they've added a Gen 6 ladder to Pokemon Showdown. When Doubles was first starting out as a tier back in its OM days, the sharing of replays was very prevalent to help people get an idea of how the tier worked, what strategies were succeeding, etc. However, as time went on people started doing it less and less. Since it's a new, unstable metagame with all sorts of threats, we're bringing back this tradition, so feel free to post any good replays you have of Gen 6 games you play. The ladder won't always be full of high quality Doubles games. This is understood, so don't feel like you have to have a masterful replay to post it here. However, do try to keep quality standards in mind. If your replay has excessive amounts of hax or just features you against a really bad opponent (ex: you beating a mono-fire team isn't impressive or useful to anyone, don't post it here) it's probably better that you don't post it. Also, when posting a replay, try to include a little thing saying what the replay's about (a sentence or two is fine, nothing too long is needed). If you share a nice enough replay or are particularly active in posting them, you may be awarded points on the Doubles Leaderboard. However, don't take this to mean that you should flood the thread with subpar replays. Hope to see your replays here :)

Audiosurfer vs Pwnemon - Team E rank putting in work against Pwnemon's Pokebank team in a fun match that highlights some Pokemon that were missed on the Viability Rankings list.
Laga vs Darkmalice - Darkmalice's prebank team vs Laga's Pokebank team. Laga started off at a disadvantge, and the game ended up with a coinflip situation that he lost. Overall a solid.

Not a horrible replay to start things off. It shows off Mega Scizor's bulk.

Really close match. Aegislash is still really centralizing in every battle. Assault Vest Iron Fist Conkeldurr is legendary and Mega Scizor is still a bulky mofo. Meowstic shows off some of its Prankster skills with Charm and Thunder Wave.

Looking like Greninja might not be very great in Dubz, but Togekiss and Aegislash for sure are going to be centralizing. I'm surprised no one used MegaGengar in those matches though. That thing is scary.

MegaGar is much much much scarier in singles. I guess you could run Follow Me+Perish Song, but it still dies fast and LO Gengar hits harder iirc yet is underwhelming.
Greninja can be ok with predicion skills. Extrasensory against Fighting types for example.

Not trying to annoy anyone with this one, I know there was some trouble with it but it's a nice example of where Talonflame is a really cool mon. Gale Wings is a totally ballin' ability. The ability to go first is always great in Doubles and there are generally a couple of ways we all go about it. TR, TW, Icy Wind / Bulldoze and Paralysis. Gale Wings totally flips all of those on their heads as it allows it to go first providing every other mon is using +0 priority moves. This allows teams that don't have a hugely reliable counter to stuff like TR feel less like dead weight and have a bit of offensive pressure which can turn the tide of battles, especially considering stuff like Scrafty / Codurr / Aboma are popular in TR teams.

Edit for Content: Aegislash is such a bulky menace, that even a SE hit can't OHKO it, and without a 4x weakness to anything, it really does a lot of damage while it's out without being easily taken down.

One thing I noticed is that Lum Berry might be one if its best items, purely due to the amount of times you will have folks aiming WoW at you. Even after a Burn though, you will still be hitting stupid hard thanks to Stance Change and SD.

I do want to try out Weakness Policy on an Automize set with HP Ice. I think that would really make Lando T a non threat.

Also, Rain is Aegislash's best friend.

Guys, when posting replays, provide a bit more information than "MegaGengar makes this strategy viable!" or "guys guys Aegislash!" Try to add a bit of substance to your posts - Totem's post is great, but you don't need that much information, just a couple lines of observations. youngjake93 did that pretty well.
 
Had a fun non-Pokebank match with Pwnemon

My team is admittedly a bit messy, as I rushed it together so I had something to battle with (I'm working on a more carefully planned out team atm). Pwnemon's Mega Gardevoir set caught me off guard with Hyper Beam (which is really powerful O_O), but I still (barely) managed a win, which I owe to my bulky Chople Berry Hydreigon set:

EVs: 132 HP / 252 SpA / 124 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Protect

Yes, it is somewhat messy, I just said I threw my team together fairly quickly. Anyway, the idea here is to tank hits a bit easier while hitting as hard as possible. The speed EVs let me outspeed positive natured max speed Breloom, though my guess is there's a better mark to aim for than that.

I also definitely despise Goodra now, that thing is really bulky. x_x

Anyways, great match Pwnemon! :>
 
Gogoat is amazing.

I see Bulk Up sets with Leech Seed being the new Ferrothorn, but better with better Recovery, especially since the Steel Nerf.

Also, Togekiss, even without Follow Me, needs to be watched out for. A simple NP set really can hurt. Other than that, Solid Rock Rhyperior too weak.

I felt this game was nice to showcase a couple of things. The importance of Taunt, Speed control and good prediction. It also shows the decent bulk of Assault Vest Conk and why I think Aegislash isn't really that good. If it can't kill 0 / 0 Landoge with a +3 shadow sneak, I really don't think it's worth using.

It has Wide Guard (Egg Move) which is pretty cool. I just think people are expecting Aegislash to be an offensive menace when it really isn't. A Swords Dance set seems pretty unpractical for a Pokemon who lacks good offensive STAB, imo. I can see something like Gyro Ball / Shadow Sneak / Wide Guard / King's Shield.

Good point, my prior statement was a little hasty. Aegislash is worth using, just not not as the great sweeper everyone seems to try to make it.
 
I like using Aegislash as a bulky attacker since Sweeping in Dubz isn't really a thing.

Another little trick I have is the following:

Automize Mixed Attacker
Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Trait: Stance Change
EVs: Max Special, enough Speed to Double and outrun any threat you'd prefer, rest in HP
-Automize
-Shadow Ball
-Sacred Sword
-King's Shield / Protect / HP Ice

This set aims to take full advantage of Aegislash's massive bulk and excellent mixed attacking stats. Lacking Nasty Plot and gaining SD usually delegates Pokemon to being one sided. However, with this new item, we get a double boost just for taking a single SE hit. For most, this sounds like a really bad idea overall, however, with something this bulky with so few weaknesses, it can easily live an SE hit or 2. In this set, your aim is to scout first, boost second. No sense getting a +2 Speed boost if you aren't going to be wrecking face right afterward. Shadow Ball has a higher BP than Claw, and Sacred Sword gives you perfect neutral coverage. For the last spot, you can run KS/Protect to help scout, OR you can run HP Ice to nuke Landorus-T, since when it finally is released, it's going to seriously hamper every physical set out there.

There are other options, like Physical Lum Berry, but this set can net quite a few surprise kills with its power.
 
I almost don't want to play Doubles now that i see that Perish Trapping with Mega-Gar, Gothita and Gothitelle. The lack of replies concerning how to counter that strategy is disturbing in my eyes.

Of course, i am fairly new to Doubles but it almost seems broken in my very uneducated opinion.
