XY/ORAS Underused Battle Replay Thread

Ran into sadmar on the ladder and this is our match in which I knocked him out of the top ten on the ladder.
We both carried very similar offensive teams featuring Scarf Rachi + SR Swampert and LO Hydreigon.
sadmar also brought the newly re-introduced Mega Alakazam to the field, though unfortunately it doesnt end up doing much. I myself brought Mega Ampharos for a slow Volt-Switch and bulky offensive pivot.
I quickly identified Crobat as my way to win the game versus his Fighting spam (particularly keeping Mienshao from clicking Hi jump kick in the late game) as long as I could predict his Jirachi and Swampert correctly, which fortunately I end up doing and quickly begin cornering him from there. An aggressive switch into Lucario on a Dark Pulse also paved the way to victory as I was able to snipe the somewhat troublesome Hydreigon early in the game.

This is a battle between myself and King UU. My team is centered around SubCoil Zygarde and LO Memento Whimsicott, while having 2 trick/switcheroo pokes to really cash in on the key resists Zygarde has (electric, fire, poison, rock). Throw in some hazards and theres my team. His team is extremely balanced with a Swampy/Forry/ umbreon defensive core along with VoltTurn from Choice Crobat, Darmanitan and Mrga Amphy. I play Zygarde a little reckless in the beginning and lose him pretty early, but this match comes down to the wire and was very close. Who will win this match??
 
Really close and enjoyable game I had which shows how decisively a well predicted move can change a player's authority in the game, probably most notably in my loss of crobat which I rashly switch in despite it being my best win condition. I struggle to keep crobat under control and eventually am forced to make sacrifices to safely get through it after being caught off guard by a couple of surprises my opponent was carrying in healing wish shaymin and speed creeping CB champ while he in turn has to play crobat carefully to stop absol from ploughing through his team.

Hi there, i have a pretty intense battle agianst So#Fabolous that sums up the current meta. We both have Blastoise-Queen, Hydreigon-Jirachi core, a fire and a fighting type. I was using CB Machamp and AV Entei (at first it was CB too but i did not feel comfortable with 3 choice users and don't like life orb on a stealth rock weak pokemon without any recovery) while my opponent was using SubCM Chandy and some sorth of Chesnaught variant (rip didn't last very long). I started with a disadvantaged lead but with proper predictions i managed to come back to the game. The match came down to a couple of flinches but the justice has been served at the end. Enjoy!

Here's a battle between me and Pearl. that was part of one of the UU room tournaments that are regularly hosted. Both of our teams feature some of the currently borked mons rampaging the tier. My team focuses on using NP Pass Kiss to break stall and SwSw to break offense both in tandem with Klefki/Donphan support. Pearl.'s team uses Volcarona and Diancie to pressure offense with their set-up sweep moves while using Forry/Swampert to provide hazards for Machamp to pressure and break stall *cough* Blissey *cough*.

We had actually battled earlier, so this one was much more finessed, as we knew what each other's teams were weak to. The early game centers around me carefully playing my Togekiss to prevent Mega Diancie from breaking me while he had to keep Shaymin moderately healthy to check my Swimmers. Klefki eventually gets off the only Rain Dance for the entire battle, and my Rain sweepers begin to do work and ravage his team. Rain Dance ends one turn too early and Volcarona comes out of its cocoon to clean up the remains. Some hax in the end of the match decides the victor, but overall, this battle serves as a good example to explain to some people why Volc/Diancie/Togekiss/Klefki are considered broken, as illustrated by the sheer pressure each of them exert on the opponent just by entering the battlefield.

A must see for those interested in how mega-bee and chandy fit in the current meta. d0dman (Dudeman130498) is one of the newest members of the JR Council, and boy does it show; this battle starts off early with him taking an early and hard lead. I manage to catch up late in the game, assuming that chandy will save the day. I doubt any of you will be able to predict what'll happen unless you've memorized your speed tiers ;)

Really fun game that I had with xmarth ( st123 ) in one of the UU room tours. I brought an offensive team with triple doge while he brought Lopunny balance with tspike support. You'll see a misplay that I made early game letting him get up tspikes really pressured me throughout the game as I don't have hazard removal. I played Marth before on the ladder with this team so I knew his Lopunny set prior which made it a lot easier to play around unfortunately for him.

Because of the tspike pressure I was forced to make plays to try and dig my way back in the game. Sometime midgame I identify last mon Crocune as my way of winning. Kindahaxy game on both sides although a bit more in my favor. This game really comes down to the wire.

Battle between and liberallucario, both of used standard-ish builds with a small "twist" to go along with it. Him with the Doom-Desire rachi, me with the Nasty Pass Togetic. Our teams were pretty evenly matched, his Nidoqueen could kill every one of my members ez but my Zam did the same back. Alot of mind games, double switches, and thinking long term. The ending is funny but doesn't take away from the fact this was a very good match.

I was using a volt-turn balanced team that i made for Dark Horse challenge (which explains my low rank on the ladder) inspired by King UU and his legendary team. M-Amph/Vapo/Gligar keeps momentum, Celebi provides utility in SR and perish song, Exploud smacks stuff and finally Lucario cleans up.

After playing about 10-15 matches i have finally found a decent opponent and it turned out to be a very good one. You'll see that i choked twice in the match. First wasting my last cc on Blissey's protect; second i send Vaporeon instead of Exploud to revenge the fat blob who lived E-speed with one hp because did not want to give a free switch to Infernape but thankfully scald saved the day cos it is broken. Also Ampharos proves that it is still one of the premiere megas of UU even though it got overshadowed by the new toys recently.

Seems like a quiet thread but this match was so tense and so close I had to post it. My team was a hastily thrown together volt/turn spam with Mega Blastoise to keep SR away and beat Donphan, and Jirachi to support with SR and Wish and paralysis. Exeggutor was my ace-in-the-hole that seems to fuck over so many things that aren't expecting endless leech seed and sitrus healing.

Fun game I just had on the ladder v Meowiekins - we both have quite similar teams: Physically Defensive Vapeoreon + Jirachi + UtilityBat then an offensive core. I get an early lead due to Uturn + Mega Medicham and a little hax, but then make a couple of bad plays and end up throwing said lead (staying in with Mega Medicham v Pideot predicting the roost turn 16, and generally playing quite badly around that bird, who was actually a huge threat to my team). The penultimate turn is a classic 50/50 prediction, the winner of which would probably emerge winner of the battle.

Enjoyable game I had against Lapraz on the ladder, he brought Stall with Krookodile, Forretress and Moltres while I brought hyper offense with Spike stacking Rose and Entei. There were many turns of nothing but switching early on as i tried to capitalize on him playing safe. I then tried widdling his team members down through the use of my Roserade's spikes but dual hazard removers took me off guard. Sometime midway through the game I missplayed and let my Entei get sacked against his Krookodile. A bit of luck ultimately decided the close battle.

Here's a fast and ferocious battle against one Mega Pidgeotto. I'm using a team Thanks Brock Obama and Orbital built for our Teambuilding Workshop team. If you take a decent look at our team, you'll notice one gaping weakness: Krookodile. So to face a team with a Krookodile will put my battling to the test. Mega Pidgeotto definitely realized this, getting Krookodile in at every opportunity to punch holes in my team, including knocking Gligar's Eviolite off on the first time. The speedy spread caught me by surprise when it outsped my Toxicroak; it was the Intimidate Rock-setter, so to see it run enough to outspeed Adamant 252 Toxicroak was very surprising. Most importantly, between Florges and Krookodile, Specs Raikou was essentially dead weight. However, my team had an ace-in-the-hole that continually proves itself to be a game winner. The result may surprise you.

Here is a long battle between sniperaim and myself. I brought one of my old stall teams that works around Toxic Spikes, dual wish healers and a Gastrodon win condition. My opponent brought a more offensive team with notable threats in a CM rachi set and a CM Suicune with Roar over Sleep Talk, making it very difficult for my cune counter to get the chance to beat it. A scald burn on my Doublade around midway through the game meant big trouble for me as it was my most reliable check to the Jirachi, and a big part of the battle became whether I could revive it.

WARNING, the battle does go for 189 turns, with both players being put under pressure through out and a bit of hax thrown in by both ends. Though I do suggest you watch it, I can understand that some of you wouldn't want to watch the whole thing :S

Hah, about 130 effin turns in I was thinking to myself that last poke Gastrodon won. Once you maneuvered everything else dead and Suicune couldn't roar you out it was over.

Cool and all but perhaps the most frustrating replay I've ever watched lol

This is an entertaining battle I had against Teddeh in a UU room tour. Right from the start of the game, I can see that Chandelure, Mega Pidgeot, and Machamp are going to be threats to my team, which has trouble taking powerful special hits coupled with Machamp's confusion-inducing blows. Luckily, I manage to get a paralysis on Pidgeot from Reuniclus which helps neutralize that threat, but misplay a couple of turns later when I lose Abomasnow, my main win condition, to an overprediction against Chandelure. I further misplay by not getting Stealth Rocks up when Rhyperior comes out for the second time (would have made playing around Scarf Mence a lot easier), but a good roll from Scarf Krookodile against Machamp helps to finish off the game.
