XY Ubers Analysis Index

hmm.. is there any way I can write a bisharp analysis? (or is that "not viable")
Since Bisharp can't stand up to the common Defog users in Ubers, Arceus and Scizor (they sometimes have Superpower) and thats the only reason its good in OU (at least to my knowledge) then I would not say it's viable at all. Lack of recovery hurts it even more as well. I've never seen it used in Ubers even once so that says a lot. I think we are almost out of mons to write on in this tier, if you can think of something thats been missed give that a shot.

Bisharp was pretty good last gen, I dunno how good it would be this gen though. It's typing is pretty cool since it resists Yveltal's STABs, Ghost, and Dragon. It can potentially trap Mega Gengar, putting it into a checkmate position between Sucker Punch and Pursuit. Defiant also lets it blow through Landorus-T, which is a common roadblock to physical attackers. Another perk of Defiant is that it makes Bisharp a great anti-Sticky Web Pokemon, threatening a countersweep with a boosted Sucker Punch.

The main problems with Bisharp are its overreliance on Sucker Punch, inability to check or even switch into Xerneas at all (which is bad considering it is a Steel-type), and inability to punish Defog from Scizor or Arceus (who'll just burn you and laugh in your face). Its bulk is also poor for Ubers standards despite its good typing. It also struggles to punish Defog Giratina-O because of the threat of Will-O-Wisp or Earthquake. These are some pretty big issues, so idk if its analysis worthy this gen.

That being said, you can go ahead and reserve it and then QC will make the judgment call. Be sure to address the things I talked about in your skeleton, however.

Stuff that is left that might be viable (for you Nayrz):
Charizard
Smeargle
Whimsicott
Clefable
Jirachi
Cresselia
Obama-snow

When the hell is Haruno gonna post the Quagod anal-sis?

Life Orb Whimsicott will destroy the tier no questions how could no one reserve that yet.

Also I don't think Cress is viable anymore (it was barely viable last gen). Yveltal destroys it. Xerneas can set up on it since it can't phaze. You can TWave it but now you can't Toxic support Arceus. Dark and Ghost in general became better types. I mean if you run Psychic instead of Moonblast you beat MGar but still that's pretty sad. still this thing can go die because its annoying af sometimes

After Aegislash gets 3/3d I might take Clefable. (though I remember seeing an analysis for it?)

Other legitimate untaken pokemon include the web setters (smeargle, ariados, shuckle are all viable) to add to stuff that requires analysis still.

Ariados is legit. Use it as a sash lead with Web/Shadow Sneak/Night Slash and then Poison Jab/Megahorn in last slot. Night Slash + Shadow sneak allow it to anti-lead common leads, or at least set up webs vs deo-A; night slash allows it not to be beaten by mega gengar, and then the last slot is a choice between megahorn, which OHKOs mewtwo (I think regular and Y but I'd have to check) whereas poison jab lets you not be set up bait for xerneas. It has base 90 attack and other stats are pitiful, but it is perfectly legitimate. Oh, and insomnia. Basically it's the only offensive webs lead (galvantula lacks priority or the quality of coverage that ariados has). It has absolutely shite speed tho xD

Are the people who have reserved a Pokemon doing all the analyses for that particular Pokemon, or can others contribute additional sets that may not have been covered? If so, I'd be interested in doing a Yveltal set.

If Cresselia is still viable (I kind of agree with others saying it's not this Gen) I would rather pick Porygon2 which I also really don't think is viable (anyone tried it ?) with also really high bulk, better typing, more reliable recovery and if you switch in right, Download boost gives you good boost in power as well (and even without it it hits harder). I mentioned Download because I don't think there's anything noteworthy to Trace in Ubers except Intimidate from Landorus-T (and kind of Gyarados). Also Knock Off isn't as popular in Ubers (and Blaziken + offensive Deoxys Forms aren't something that Porygon2 handles well as he hates both Taunt and Knock Off).

AV Azumarill is 100% viable pick as well ;). Yeah yeah, I'm the one who suggested it in underrated Pokemon thread, but I'm not confident to write analyses now, so I'll pass.

And yeah, I wait for QuaGod analysis myself :D.

This QC beast is making a return to activity and about to stamp rampage all over your analyses. Prepare yourselves.
