Yet another RMT [OU]

So this is a team I made to fit around Sub-CM Jirachi. Mostly offensive based, its been working pretty nicely. But as with all teams, theres kinks, and although I kinda forgot what some where, I know there are some. Anyways, here it is:

gliscor.png

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/140 Def/116 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Stone Edge/Taunt
Since this team was gonna be based around jirachi, I needed something to take the ground hits it dreads, and later to help with the vaporeon who takes the fire hits for jirachi take electric hits. So I needed a lead, and this seemed like the perfect thing. Now at first glance, it looks like a weird EV spread. The speed given allows it to outspeed adamant lucario, and allows more defense for gliscor. So lays up rocks quick, EQ for STAB, roost for recovery. Stone Edge hits fliers that gliscor normally cant hit, while on the other hand, taunt stops other forms of set-up.

scizor.png

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Superpower
My team was mostly built, only lacking a good dragon check. Scizor came to mind, and fit well in. Scizor helps check the ever popular mence and latias with BP, also providing a strong STAB to get a good revenge kill in. U-Turn for scouting and obvious STAB, Pursuit is one of those lesser used things in my arsenal, but helps kill off rotom, which is ever so useful. Superpower takes out blissey and steels, especially those pesky predicted heatran switch-ins.

jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/176 Spd/80 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Flash Cannon/Psychic
Originally meant to be the star of the team, it isnt always able to shine through. But when it can get in and set-up, theres no stopping it. So, come in, sub up, CM up, and goto town. Thunderbolt for waters and to hit steels for neutral at the very least. The last slot is a really hard choice, as whenever I use one, half the time the other is more useful. Flash Cannon provides a safer hit for latias, celebi, and tyranitar. While psychic can help against fighting types, swampert, and the such. The last slot is really torn tbh, most of the time I think I use flash cannon, but I guess its all situational.

vaporeon.png

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Wish
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Vaporeon is a very useful tool for this team. First, it provides the handy fire resist for both scizor and jirachi. Second, it gives some wish support, which is always greatly appreciated. So Surf for the STAB, wish protect for healing and scouting, HP electric seemed like a more sound choice here. Gyara runs through once rotom is dead, and vaporeon can absorb it waterfalls and kill it. Plus it can help against anyother waters like starmie or suicune that try to come in.

rotomheat.png

Rotom-h @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Overheat
Another means of revenge killing, the ever popular rotom-h. T-Bolt for STAB, and take out any waters that vaporeon might miss, Shadow Ball takes down ghosts that stand in my way, plus psychics, and a nice STAB. Overheat was the main reason for choosing this form. As I had no fire types on this team otherwise, grasses and steels would provide a bit more trouble, and since rotom is a great check to steels, it was the perfect choice. Trick for when I need to cripple a wall like blissey.

machamp.png

Machamp (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dynamicpunch
- Payback
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch
When I was making this team, I had four pokes done. Neither this or scizor were in this team. So obviously I needed some means of physical strength, and blissey killage. Machamp seemed like a good choice. The choice to not use restalk was tough, but I decided the extra coverage, combined with vaporeon being able to send wishes around, I should be fine. So D-Punch for STAB and the ever so nice confusion. Payback hits ghosts that try to give trouble, like rotom. Stone Edge hits fliers, Ice Punch allows a better way to take out a popular switch-in to machamp, gliscor, plus helps against mence a bit.

So thats it, any help would be appreciated. So rate away.

subcm jirachi is a cool pokemon. however, it requires a large amount of support from its team to work. certain pokemon, such as latias, heatran, infernape, magnezone, tyranitar, and the like absolutely MUST be able to be taken out. at the moment, you check a few of them, but they still create a rather noticeable thorn in jirachi's side. I do, however, notice a fairly quick fix. what I'm proposing you do is replace machamp with a choice banded dugtrio, who, despite not seeing much use these days, actually fits quite well into this team. let me explain. dugtrio is a pokemon who is notorious for giving up free turns after he has done his job, due to often being locked into an attack that fliers are immune to. well, between scizor, vaporeon, and scarf rotom, you can afford to give up a free turn or two, since they can generally take on or at least revenge kill anything that tries to set up. you don't have to be afraid of things like ddmence setting up on you when you can send them packing courtesy of cb bullet punch. dugtrio traps and kills tyranitar, magnezone, heatran, infernape, and all manner of other things that are annoying to you. what's interesting is that scizor and jirachi are stopped by very similar things. namely heatran and magnezone. if, in the beginning of the match you spam uturn with scizor, should magnezone turn up you can switch to cbduggy and then your life is much easier should you try to sweep with jirachi OR scizor. double switching to heatran is a little bit more iffy, since scarfed variants outspeed and ohko dugtrio. a safe bet when heatran is out against dugtrio is to switch directly to vaporeon, since subbing heatrans are unlikely to use substitute or toxic against dugtrio. at that point, you can wish up as he switches and you have the superior position. the guaranteed killing of tyranitar is also nice for jirachi, though scizor already likes to come in and u-turn, putting you in a superior position. so, since dugtrio does so much for the team in helping your two main sweepers do their thing, and his major drawbacks are already covered by your team, why not give him a go?

too much reading, i almost feel like half of it was useless, but meh.

Duggy could provide a use, dunno really, i could go about testing it sometime. I see the magnezone killage, but outside of that, theres not much I can see it do tbh, which machamp can do, but not without taking damage.

I think RestTalk Machamp is a fine option for your team. It gives you a useful status absorber, and the physical power is still there. The coverage isn't as useful as status absorption, I think, because you don't really have another team member who can take it.

yea it would be useful, although the most common status is usually sleep, and i was considering just putting sleep talk over IP, but i might just make it full restalk, ill try it out

Problems:

Synergy

How to fix:

Looks like you covered your weakness well, and have a great build around SubCm Jirachi. Although, when you want to choose a move for Jirachi, I would go for Flash Cannon / Thunderbolt. With that being said, Swampert, Magnezone, Jolteon, mainly Electric-types will need some adressing. If your not sold on Sath's idea with Dugtrio (which can make great synergy with the team to be honest), you could try Flygon for Machamp, which adds a good all-around physical attacker like you wanted and a good threat to Electric-types like Jolteon and Magnezone.

Flygon
@ Choice Scarf
Adamant Nature (Atk+ / SpA-)
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

This guy is straight to the bone and just adds a good all-around check to Electric types. Double U-turn (Scizor and Flygon) works great on teams like this, trading off U-turns to scout for the entire team and plan from there on. Earthquake can startle Electric-types obviously and if they decide to stay in, they suffer a KO, therefore freeing up Jirachi for an easier sweep. Outrage is for late-game mainly while Stone Edge gives good all-around coverage.

As for Swampert being trouble to Flash Cannon / Thunderbolt set, you have the entire team that can possibly beat it. Vaporeon is a good check all-around scoring a solid 3HKO with Surf, combine that with constant U-turns it going down soon without any recovery moves. Other things you might consider is Taunt on Gliscor, which prevents opposing SR from setting up and prevent phazers. taunt + switch to Jirachi is a cool combo, allowing you to freely get one boost without getting roared from someone like Skarmory. gl.

The most common status is sleep? Wow. I tend to run into Toxic and Thunder Wave far more. Rest is what turns Machamp into a real pain for most teams, because he is really difficult to take out when he shrugs off status.

Stone Edge and Ice Punch cover off a lot of the same things. Ice Punch would help against grass types, but you can take most of them out without too much hassle with STAB DynamicPunch anyway. I think running Payback / Rest / Sleep Talk would be enough.

i guess i can try both flygon and dugtrio, see which works better, it would give me another way to check mence and gyara a bit more than duggy (which tbh i dont need, but meh). My main problem with either tbh is that I have 3 choice items going around, although one can get tricked, it also limits my physical options a bit.

TBH i pulled that out of my ass, i really wasnt thinking, im just not thinking. But I can try that, and see what it does, but I might also have to see if gon or trio do better first.
