You HAVE to have Sprites for a RMT to be good. -_-

So I put some on. :toast:

I'm not the best when it comes to competitive play, and yes, I probably do lose more than I win. So, I wanted to make a new team and see how all of you guys think it is. This is for D/P wifi, however, not shoddy battle. I probably will make a copy on shoddy battle to test it out though.

TEAM AT A GLANCE

@ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Veil
Evs: 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def
Nature: Impish (+Def, -Sp.Atk)
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Stealth Rock
- Roost

Sets up Stealth Rock. Earthquake is for STAB, and Aerial Ace is for Heracross. Roost is to recover damage. Pretty basic set. The best a Heracross can do with a Stone Edge against this is around 36%.

dpmba143.png
@ Leftovers

Trait: Thick Fat
Evs: 168 HP / 120 Def / 222 SpDef
Nature: Careful (+SpDef, -SpAtk)
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Rest
- Pursuit

Curselax. Curse raises it's defense from base 65 to base 98, and it's attack rises greatly. Body Slam is for STAB, and paralysis support, Rest to recover HP, and Pursuit is for Gengar and other ghosts.

dpmba134.png
@ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 70 SpA
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Wish
- Protect

Used for Wish. Vaporeon has a very good Special Attack stat, and Ice Beam is to help take down some ground types and certain dragons (if they don't get off a Draco Meteor or other OHKO move.) Protect is to scout out anything the opponent is going to throw at you, and also to get HP back from Wish.

dpmba445.png
@ Yache Berry
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
Nature: Jolly (+Spd, -Sp.Atk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang

My main physical attacker. Use Swords Dance and sweep from there. EQ and Dragon Claw for STAB, and Fire Fang to hit the only 2 Pokemon who resist the Earthquake / Dragon Claw combo, Skarmory and Bronzong. Yache berry it to make sure it will live one ice attack, because even without a plus nature or EV's, Garchomp still has impressive HP, Def, and SpDef stats.

dpmba121.png
@ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 172 HP / 120 SpAtk / 218 Spd
Nature: Timid (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Surf
- Recover
- Thunderbolt

My main Special Attacker. Also my Spinner. Gets rid of Stealth Rock and Spikes, while also damaging a HUGE amount of damage with Surf and Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt is to take out Gyarados and other water types.

dpmba248.png
@ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
Evs: 62 HP / 252 Atk / 196 Spe
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

Sand Stream hurts the opponent, while 3 of my 6 Pokemon are resistant to Sand Stream, and 2 of the non-resistant Pokemon to sand stream (Vaporeon and Starmie) have HP recovering moves. Crunch and Stone Edge for STAB, Earthquake for type coverage, and Pursuit to hit anything on the switch not wanting to take a crunch from CBTTar.

Please RMT, and if you read this, PLEASE comment back.

Like the above poster says I do see a Gengar weakness. Defenitely keep Levitate on Bronzong though. The main point of Levitate is so that you can switch into Ground attacks from things like Mamoswine and Garchomp. Use 96 Evs SpDef instead so you can take Gengar better (turns shadow ball into a 3HKO IIRC).

I think that Heatran would really be better over Regice. The Rest/Sleep Talk kind still makes a pretty good special tank and it doesn't lose 1/4 of its HP from Stealth Rock. Also absorbs status and counters Celebi which pretty much beats your team.

You need Thunderbolt on Starmie to fix your Gyarados weakness. Also I think it would be good to fit a Zapdos or flyer in here over Lucario since you have problems with Heracross. I guess you can go another route and add Foretress instead of Starmie and Bronzong, put HP electric on Vaporeon, then keep Lucario but its your choice

Does anyone think that instead of switching out Lucario for TTar (which I might do anyways), I could possibly replace ExtremeSpeed for Bullet Punch, which gets stab, and can now hit Gengar?

If not I'll probably replace Lucario for TTar.

And I'm open for any other suggestions. :)

*Edited Starmie's Ice Beam for Thunderbolt and Bronzong's Def/SpDef Evs*

Sadly that wouldn't help much against Gengar. Another thing I saw is that you could possibly put Shuckle in here, but then you would really need SS to make it work well against Gengar.

Starmie could use Psychic as a STAB and to deal with Gengar. Remember, with TTar you effectivly cancel all leftovers on your team.

Might I consider Roar on Vaporeon, for some sort of phazing. Seeing as you have Regice, which can take a hit from most ice weak pokes pretty well, I would replace Ice Beam on Vaporeon with Roar. Just a thought.

for bronzong i say keep it with levitate most people will still hit with earthquake just to make sure, and for bronzong as your lead I use to lead with bronzong but it usually got put to sleep before it did anything or it would just let a gyarados set up i think having a bronzong as a lead can let your opponent set up faster but its up to you.

Whoa my god what's up with the Hera weakness.

Let's just add Gliscor over the Bronzong, so it can Stealth Rock, and deal with with Lucario as well as Heracross. Still helps against Garchomp as well!

And to stop the whole Gengar thing, can't we just make a transition from Regice to Snorlax, who you can just slap on Pursuit and make sure it stops fucking with you.

Gliscor, Snorlax, Vaporeon, Garchomp, Lucario, Starmie. Seems solid enough.

Ok, I'm going to make a few changes, pretty much following AeroBlacktyl's ideas because they made the most sense to me. Added in Gliscor and Snorlax.

Also, because I have Garchomp and Gliscor, do you think I should put TTar over Lucario and switch them so Garchomp and Gliscor both get to use their abilities better? Or should I stay with Lucario?

Swords Dance Heracross could shit on this, just make sure it doesn't set up. That is really all I have to say as this team is pretty good.

just telling you, since this is for wifi, Pursuit+SelfDestruct is illegal on Snorlax, you should consider Rest in the last spot, as passing a Wish from Vaporeon may not be enough, as Snorlax wont enjoy switching out after 2+ Curses

SEVERE (get ready for this) TANGROWTH WEAKNESS.

Tangrowth could destroy this entire team. With Power Whip and Earthqauke, it could get a clean sweep. You have a grand total of ONE grass resist, Lucario. The only special attack that hits it for super effective is Vaporeon's Ice Beam. Too bad it gets OHKOd by Power Whip.

It's sad, but getting swept by an obscure wall would be absolutely humiliating. Get Fire Blast on Garchomp or something, or try SpecsLuke (who would help a lot, because you already have three physical attackers)

To seds, truthfully I doubt a Tangrowth would be used that much, and if it is, it's more of a wall and has less potential to have EQ imo. I'm not saying that it won't happen, but truthfully, I don't think that problem will arise that often. Also Tangrowth is slow so most of my Pokemon could get a quick hit on it and Ice Beam from Vaporeon takes it's HP down quite a bit.

Next thing, now that I have 2 main EQers (Tyranitar and Garchomp) do you think I should get rid of Earthquake on Gliscor and put on Ice Fang so I could switch Ice Beam on Vaporeon for Roar? Or should I keep Earthquake on but just switch Ice Beam for Roar? Or (last one i swear lol) just keep it the way it is?
