Made this team pretty quickly this morning and have been winning decently around 1300-1400 with it. Wondering now how i can patch it to cover bad matchups like koko.
Togekiss @ Metronome
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 240 SpA / 16 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Nasty Plot
- Flamethrower
- Ancient Power
Primary sweeper of the team. After a Nasty Plot AP OHKOs pokemon like Zard Y, Zard X, Volcarona and Blacephalon. After rocks, +2 AP KOs pokemon like Kyurem-B and Zapdos. After a NP and AP boost Togekiss is able to spam Air Slash with metronome to flinch sweep teams. Flamethrower is taken to KO Ferrothorn and Scizor. 16 SpD allows Togekiss to survive one Fire Blast from Specs Blacephalon and kill with AP.
Scolipede @ Waterium Z
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
Scolipede acts as a wallbreaker or a back up sweeper given the right match ups. One Speed Boost allows Scolipede to outspeed and KO Scarf Landorus with Hydro Vortex. After a Swords Dance, Scolipede OHKOs Landorus, Excadrill, Diancie and Magearna, while Vortex KOs Garchomp and (after rocks) KOs Hawlucha with Electric Seed boost. Poison Jab is taken to pressure the Tapus and KO all of them after SD. Outspeeding and opening doors for Togekiss is the name of Scolipede's game.
Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off
- Taunt
- Explosion
Azelf is the dedicated lead of the team built to counter other set up and put momentum in your favor. Taunt cripples the effectiveness of leads like Shuckle, Smeargle, and Forretress while allowing Azelf to set up rocks afterward. After rocks Azelf is free to explode and further cripple the opponent and allow you to bring in your best mon for the situation. Knock off is taken for utility in certain situations to cripple leftovers pokemon.
Diggersby @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Spikes
Diggersby provides an important electric immunity while also being able to be hard to switch into due to being Adamant, max attack, and Choice Band. Quick attack is helpful STAB and priority to further Diggersby's prowess as a revenge killer. Spikes are used when the opponent is scared out by Quick Attack to stack hazards in order to help Togekiss with sweeping later.
Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
Mimikyu's disguise helps with pivoting to potentially get in Togekiss or Scolipede, while Swords Dance allows Mimikyu to take advantage of situations where the opponent finds themselves weak to his STAB moves. Taunt is ran along with max speed to stop potential defoggers in order keep hazard stacking up. This also can stop leads that Azelf forces out from setting up hazards or status later in the game.
Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Def / 56 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Recover
- Haze
Toxapex acts as a glue for the team to stall out opposing pokemon that cause trouble for the rest of the team. Mawile that does not run Thunder Punch is walled by this Toxapex and cannot set up to kill due to Haze. 56 SpD allows Pex to take two hits from Scarf Blacephalon to aid with pivoting, as well as eating a dark pulse from Specs Greninja. When against a pokemon that is walled, Pex can easily set up T Spikes to further aid later sweeping.
