Hello everyone! Today we have a match between Take Azelfie and newcomer Zentinel! Zentinel is fielding some powerful NFEs, including Duclohm, who has coverage on Azelfie's entire team. The mighty Hornet takes the field again, but unlike last time, has met its match in Amyr! Amyr unleashes a gout of flame that starts to char the poor Bug-type, while Hornet comes in close to deliver a Poison Sting! However, luck is not with Hornet today, as Shield Dust means all its doing is gently pricking the cloud dragon! Amyr strikes Hornet with a blast of electricty that veers off after the attack, and Hornet retaliates with a Bug Bite. Amyr then covers Hornet in another gout of flames, and Hornet goes in for another Poison Sting attack.

As everyone expected, the big bad Duclohm beat the snot out of the poor defenseless Kakuna. Zentinel opts to send in Metang to take part in the beatdown Kakuna is receiving. Looks like Hornet won't be pulling off anything spectacular this match.

Machina comes in to play to pick off where Amyr left off. Before it resumes the Kakuna beatdown, Machina sets up a hard barrier of light that Reflects and buffers against Hornet's physical attacks. This comes up just in time to nearly stop Hornet's Bug Bite attack cold, reducing the damage to nothing more than a pin prick. Machina then gets on with the bruising, focusing its psychic energy into its head before slamming it into Hornet, the impact causing Hornet to flinch. This gives Machina a perfect oppurtunity to end Hornet, as it faints with Machina's next Zen Headbutt attack!

Oof. Hornet goes down hard, doing next to nothing this round because of flinch (Clear Body would have prevented the speed drop anyways), while Zentintel gets a nearly free kill and another full round of Reflect. Things are going great for Zentinel now, but that may change as they suffer a Metang vs Torracat matchup.

Whiplash enters the battlefield, prepared to get revenge for Hornet's defeat. Whiplash makes the first move by moving in a blur towards Machina, causing them to flinch on contact. Whiplash then keeps up her assault by sending fire draped fangs into Machina's steel shell, causing it to distort from the heat. Machina pays no heed, however, as they send seismic waves into the arena, pummeling Whiplash with an Earthquake attack. Whiplash chooses to continue her assault by sinking her teeth into Machina, connecting with a Crunch, while Machina continues to shake the arena with an Earthquake.

Zentinel's Reflect play from last round pays off in dividends, allowing them to steal the health lead from Azelfie despite the type advantage. Not that they would have needed it, as Torracat's type advantage is the only thing keeping it from getting blown out of the water by Metang, who has harder hitting moves and superior stats. This battle seems to be all but over, as the Azelfie needed to take down Metang quickly to have any chance against Duclohm. Even so, will Azelfie be able to nab themselves an extra KO counter?

Whiplash moves to take another bite out of Machina with flame wreathed fangs, while Machina chooses to mix it up a bit and sends a shower of rocks and boulders into Whiplash instead of just shaking the arena. Whiplash then continues to treat Machina with a Crunch attack. Machina goes back to the basics and resumes shaking the arena and Torracat, who goes in for a final Fire Fang before Machina's shaking Earthquake attacks finally knock it out.

Zentinel wins! There isn't much to say about this round, since Metang just rode off with advantage it built previously and gave Torracat no chance to recover, nor did the hax gods deem Azelfie worthy of their favor. Good job to both battlers, this was a fun match to ref. RIP Hornet.
