I registered here to get some input from players better than myself, i had actually regestered on serebbi and done the same, but after two weeks without a single comment, i figured i would look elsewhere for it. Anyways here is a brief rundown on my team. 2 dedicated walls (meaning it's their primary function, whereas i have other pokes that are bulky) 3 sweepers 1 wishpasser 1 scarfer. 3/6 sandstorm Immune.5/6 toxic spike immune, with the 6th having rest/talk, 4/6 Toxic Immune. 2/6 weak to stealth rocks. 3/6 immune to spikes. 3/6 able to avoid/cure status, 5/6 With healing moves. A lot of type synergy for easy switches.
Team: Metagross/Gyrados/Zapdos/Weezing/Tyranitar/Jirachi
-----------------------------------------------------------
<Red Eyes> Metagross (Scarfed)
Item: Choice Scarf
Ability: Clear Body
+252 atk
+6 hp
+252 speed
+atk/-Sp.atk
Stealth Rocks/Earthquake/Explosion/Trick
Setup fast rocks, beating anything not scarfed. If i see a special supereffective move incoming (usually fireblast) i swap into zapdos or gyrados depending on what they are. If i think theyre going to setup on me, IE. lead gyrados or something of that manner, i will trick them scarf then setup rocks. Metagross's bulk is enough that i can take a non stab EQ and switch out. If i find there is something i dont want to deal with, i revenge kill with explosion.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
<MethDragon> Shiny Gyrados (DD sweeper)
Item: Chestoberry
Ability: Intimidate
+252 hp
+170 atk
+30 Speed
+58 Spe.Def
+atk/-Sp.Atk
Waterfall/StoneEdge/Rest/DragonDance
Bulky gyrados, which switches in on ground moves, or on fire attacks aimed at jirachi. Stone Edge is for flying switchins. Depending on what i see i may waterfall immediately, or go dragondance, generally i bring gyrados in to see how they react and what their counter is. And while i don't plan for it, i enjoy getting the unlikely flinch, which can give me a win if it happens at a bad time for the opponent. I don't mind absorbing status, as i can rest up and sweep. If i can i like to prevent my opponent setting up rocks with metagross's trick, but more often than not they get put down, and that 25% hp really prevents me from switching in often, unless i can get a wish off from jirachi to gyra without dying. (doesn't happen often D:)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
<Acid Rain> Zapdos (Special wall/Toxic)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
+252 hp
+6 speed
+252 spdef
+Sp.def/-atk
Toxic/Subsititue/Roost/Thunderbolt
This thing is a beast, i remember a game yesterday where i lost my whole team and had only this guy left and stalled out 4 pokes with him for a win (i know this doesn't happen often vs prepared opponents, but i thought id mention anyways.) After Toxic non stab supereffective special moves wont break subs. Often my goto pokemon to put pressure (literally and figuratively) on the opponent so i can see wut kind of team they run based on how they try to counter me. If they choose to save whatever i toxic, i can setup on it lategame with tyranitar when they bring it back in.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
<Rave Boss> Tyranitar (Curse Sweeper)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Sandstorm
+252 hp
+88 Def
+170 SP.def
+sp.def/-sp.atk
Curse/Crunch/Rest/Sleeptalk
My main focus, and what i build around. While i may use him to switch into phychic or resisted atks, and get sandstorm up, I generally try to hold onto him until later on, or if i see a big opportunity. I try to get rid of any fighting types, which i find like to come out against my zapdos; even after curses fightning moves still hurt. Most people i play against expect me to be choice banded or a dragondance ttar, this results in them staying in doing low dmg atks, all to be rested to full.
-------------------------------------------------------------
<Salvia> Weezing (Physical Wall/Wilo-Wisp)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
+252 Hp
+252 def
+6 sp.atk
+SP.Atk/-Atk
Pain Split/WIlo Wisp/Fire blast /Thunderbolt
My physical wall and answer to physical setup sweepers. Also useful for getting rid of Gyrados and Scizor, among other things. Its Levitate is good for blocking ground moves aimed at jirachi, metagross or Ttar, as well as taking physical moves aimed at tyranitar, and it's psychic weakness is covered by tyranitar. A wilowisp will gimp a physical sweeper, and can allow me to setup calm minds on Jirachi.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
<SuperStar> Jirachi (CM sweeper / Wish)
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
+252 hp
+216 def
+32 speed
+def/-spatk nature
Calm Mind / Wish / Psychic / Thunderbolt
bulky physically defensive jirachi, to setup special sweep, and send wishes sometimes. Usually when i do get wishes off, is when they switch on wish to a counter, and use a move something heavily resists, or is immune to, as well as status. (dark/psychic/ghost moves to Ttar, Fire moves to Ttar or gyrados, ground moves to weezing/Zapdos/Gyrados, status to ttar or gyrados.) I am considering switching thunderbolt for something else, as weezing has it, and i don't have too much trouble with water types, or raindance as of yet. But i'm not sure what to switch it for. Depending on how game is going i may bring Jirachi out mid game, or hold off till late. I don't like being hit by fire moves unless i have like 2-3 CM's up :/
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
My team is basically my interpretation of things i personally hated seeing in battle, and are hard to deal with, and easy to make a bad decision on under pressure. My strategy is to put my opponent in difficult situations, and just react to whatever their best option is in the situation, and if they predict me, it usually doesn't matter because it wasn't their best option anyways.
Trouble with: - Subs; While this team has toxic, and wilowisp as well as trick, and gyrados's intimidate for dealing with sweepers, it has no phasing and hates dealing with opponents setting up subs. If an opponent gets a sub up on me, i may be in trouble depending on what they're doing with it. I also find games where i lose zapdos early, and they have fast special sweepers i am in trouble, due to really having no other special wallage (unless i've setup calm minds on Jirachi), and just havign to rely on metagross, or ttar/gyrados setting up early. I used to have trouble with clerics, but trick-scarf metagross changed that. Otherwise i can't think of anything that really really gives me trouble consistently.
So thats my most recent team, explained very quickly. Sorry for not going into detailed explanation of threats and how i deal with every situation, but i didn't want to wall of text u guys. Any and all advice appreciated, especially weaknesses in the team. Thx 4 reading.
