Standings

Welcome to the eighth ZU Classic, a tournament celebrates ZU's history throughout the years. Players will compete in separate tournaments for the RBY, GSC, ADV, DPP, and BW generations, culminating in a finals where players will have to put their ZU Old Gens knowledge to the test to have a chance to win this trophy is the 1st Smogon Classic Winner in the ZU Hall OF Fame.

The format consists of five separate tournaments: the RBP CUP, GSC Cup, ADV Cup, DPP Cup, and the BW Cup. Each tournament is single elimination, best of three. Depending on your performance in a Cup, you will be awarded points. The point system is the same as the one used in Smogon Classic. When all the Cups have been finished, the 12 players with the most points will advance to the playoffs with the top 4 seeds getting a bye round 1. This year's format will be a best-of-5. Higher seed chooses the first tier and then the loser of each battle choses the next one.

Signups for each Cup will be posted as shown below here in the unofficial circuit subforum. The hosts are allowed to play in the tournament that they are administering, as long as they get outside assistance for activity calls when they are involved. Here is the list of the Cups with the names of the hosts and the dates each will be posted:

• The BW Cup - Hosted by kriegueur - August 23rd
• The DPP Cup - Hosted by BaitWiz - August 30th
• The ADV Cup - Hosted by Zpice - August 30th
• The GSC Cup - Hosted by July - September 6th
• The RBY Cup - Hosted by SMHorizon - September 6th

If there are any questions, post in this thread and I will answer them as well as I can. Do not use this thread as a venue to complain about the format. Also keep in mind that this thread is not the place to sign up for the ZU Classic. Players wanting to participate in the ZU Classic must sign up for each individual Cup posted every week. Have fun and good luck to everyone competing!
