One of ZU's most efficient late-game cleaners, Combusken is able to break through traditional checks such as Rotom-S and Altaria with a Swords Dance-boosted Inferno Overdrive. While Combusken also separates itself from Monferno with its higher Attack stat, its main claim to fame is its ability Speed Boost, which, when used in combination with Protect, allows it to outspeed notable Pokemon such as Pinsir and Expert Belt Electivire. Combusken appreciates entry hazard support from teammates such as Crustle and Metang so it can wear down checks such as Silvally-Water. Combusken also appreciates having teammates that can break down bulky Water- and Psychic-types such as Exeggutor, Choice Band Komala, and Silvally-Dark.

One of ZU's most efficient late-game cleaners, Combusken is able to break through traditional checks such as Rotom-S and Altaria with a Swords Dance-boosted Inferno Overdrive. (First line should emphasize Speed Boost and how good Combusken's typing is offensively. Combusken's ability to bust through Rotom-S and Altaria should not be part of the first line imo because breaking is just one aspect of SD Busken. Can move the latter half of the line into a second line.) While Combusken also separates itself from Monferno with its higher Attack stat, its main claim to fame is its ability Speed Boost, which, when used in combination with Protect, allows it to outspeed notable Pokemon such as Swanna (replace Swanna with something else, Z-MM is pretty common and Aqua Jet does a lot) and non-Choice Scarf Electivire. Mention that Combusken threatens a majority of the tier and can force out or setup on common Pokemon such as Shiftry, Komala, and Mawile. Combusken appreciates entry hazard support from teammates such as Crustle and Metang so it can wear down checks such as Silvally-Water while also not taking nearly as much recoil from Flare Blitz. Combusken also appreciates having teammates that can break down bulky Water- and Psychic-types such as Exeggutor, Choice Band Komala, and Silvally-Dark.
