Initially, when I first heard the news, my reaction was sheer shock. couldn’t believe that a vibrant life had just vanished… It wasn’t until I tried searching for your Smogon profile and opened it that a wave of sorrow suddenly swept over me. Reading the messages people left in memory of you, tears welled up in my eyes, almost spilling over. We never even added each other on Discord; you probably didn’t know who I was either, yet I still have so much I want to say to you.

A year ago, I had just joined Smogon, and the only tier I was familiar with was Gen 8 OU. From that moment on, I followed your matches, looked up to you as my role model, and hoped that one day I could be as excellent as you. I’ve told Slowpoke Fan and others countless times that you and Hazardeur are my two favorite SwSh players. Every time I saw you shine in tournaments, I sincerely cheered for you from the bottom of my heart… I think I’ve now developed some skills of my own and started to get chances to be selected for team tournaments. I so looked forward to the day when we might become teammates and fight side by side in some competition. but that day will never come. What a pity!

You were a strong, positive, and reliable legendary player. I deeply mourn your passing and am truly sorry that I never got to see you shine on the SPL stage… Perhaps I’ll remain active on Smogon for a few more years, and maybe one day I’ll step onto the SPL/SCL stage myself. I will carry a part of your belief with me and fulfill the unfinished wish you left behind.
