I would confirm it, but I'm pretty sure this sentence is only correct for Gen 3.

If the last move the target used was a move that calls another move (such as Metronome), the type of the called move will be considered.

In Gen 2, moves that call other moves reset the flag that Conversion2, Mirror Move, Mimic, etc use.
