The Ultimate Dodgeball Championship: Finals - Team QuickSilver Wins!

Sorry for the delay, but it took ages for us to get this new dodgeball court ready!

Without any further delay, we'll have one of the participants provide an introduction for you all, here's to Veedrock!

On the West side of the court, it's The Gentlemen!

The Gentlemen were quick to assemble, assembling in a short 2 and a half hours of the start of team formation. Clearly a sign of bonds that exist beyond the game. They have proceeded to the finals with two, yes folks, TWO flawless matches. Is it luck or is it skill? Who knows, who cares?! All that matters is that they are HERE, in the final battle that will put them to the ultimate test. Let's give a quick rundown of the members' actions.

Thunda has been the most active of the team, with 4 heavy actions under his belt. In just a game and a quarter, that's mighty impressive. Thunda and AvatarST have each eliminated 2 players in the course of the tournament, proving that they are indeed deadly members of The Gentlemen. The bar has been raised high for future UDC tournaments.


Aaaaaaaaaaand on the Eastern half of the court, Team QuickSilver!

Team QuickSilver appeared to be a last minute get together of those without a team. Not much was expected from this team that had no chemistry outside of the UDC. Now here they are, in the Final Round of this stellar tournament, shocking fans across the community. With a surprising upset against the Championship's founder, followed by a second round sweep, the potential is strong. Will they be a match for The Gentlemen? Here are personal statistics.

Action has been pretty even all across the board. Variety to spice things up. Seven Deadly Sins and Veedrock each have 2 hits, while the rest of the team is trailing by a slim half hit. Every member of the team proves to be equally as capable as the rest. Can Team QuickSilver pull it together against the their ultimate adversary?

All the tension I had concerning the match has vanished in the wait.

Final Round - Turn 1:

It is time.

The long wait is finally over.

The tension of the audience peaked when The Gentlemen solemny sashayed onto the court. Thundering applaused roared across the stadium.

They all came to see The Gentlemen tonight... to see them win tonight.

While the audience was still engaging in a sheer salvo of applause for The Gentlemen, who were performing one of their famous trademark group poses, Team Quicksilver clumsly entered the stadium. A supporter of the The Gentlemen had strategically thrown a banana peel right in front of their exit, causing Veedrock to slip. Chris is me, engrossed in thought about the hospital inhabitation that was to come after the first blood was drawn, then tripped over Veedrock, causing a chain reaction pileup. Utterly crushed by the laughter of the audience and the embarassment in general, motivation was at its low for Team Quicksilver.

thunda casually checked his Scouter for their Power Level after this mortifying incident. Thoroughly amused by the results, he grabbed a folding chair and began watching Disney's Mulan on his iPod instead of paying attention to the pitiful opponents. aamto, after having a bit of trouble leaving the vessel he used to travel to the stadium, decided that the opposing team wasn't worth his trouble either and starting rolling a joint. AvatarST, daquiri and Lance-corporal Kirby were a tad more serious. AvatarST shouted "You don't need no prize money where you're going!", while daquiri and Birdseye ferociously picked up a ball each.

Utterly intimidated by The Caped Menace and The Massive Soldier, the whole Team Quicksilver, barring Seven Deadly Sins who was stunned by fear, launched themselves at the four balls resting on their side.

A slight squall swept across the court when CaptKirby scanned the whole opposing team with his avian eyes.

"My personal goal will be fulfilled. One of you will be thoroughly devastated in but a few rounds. You know who you are."

daquiri solemnly adds another line to this threat.

"He who is about to die, the Baron salutes you."

And with these lines, the announcer loudly promulgates the start of the game - the beginning of the end for Team Quicksilver.

Final Round - Turn 2:

As thousands of expectant spectators looked on, both teams simply stood there.

The fans started spurring their favorite team on, "QUICK-SIL-VER", "QUICK-SIL-VER", "QUICK-SIL-VER". But it was of no use.

All it did was confuse Seven Deadly Sins who seemingly forgot that they didn't have any balls left and attempted to find one.

It looks like things are definitely going to heat up next turn.

The crowd is getting worked up. Deafening cheers for both teams roared from the crowd. Spectators around the globe are on the edge of their couches to watch this unfold. Veedrock waved to the audience and made gestures for them to rise to their feet. The audience was happy to oblige. Chris is me did several consecutive poses to boost team moral, although it only served to embarrass Seven Deadly Sins. CaptKirby ran his fingers through his hair slowly and smiled to a nearby camera; high pitched squeals were heard through the crowd and were almost heard from home viewers. dak was pumping his ball between his hands while thunda watched Team Quicksilver like a predator. Katherine took the team's balls and juggled them while Annhilator Zero watched the malicious thunda cautiously. aamto took this time to phone home. AvatarST was doing some stretching, not ready to take this game to assume a win was in order.

The round 3 buzzer went off, overpowering the thunder of the audience to silence them. The tension thickened in the air. Hearts were pounding. Temperature dropped revealing all of their heaving breaths. Things were about to get heavy. The Gentlemen stood there, staring with smirks painted across all their faces. Team QuickSilver returned the looks with stoic prose, ready for action.

No longer willing to wait, CaptKirby strode to the court center. He spat some mumbo jumbo about fulfilling his destiny before running his hands through his hair a few more times. After winking to the camera and again causing high pitched squeals from parts of the arena spectators, CaptKirby began his wind up. In slow motion he pitched the ball at one of Team QuickSilver. It spun steadily through the air, approaching ever so slowly. However, after 5 minutes of watching the ball creep through the air, all attention returned to the rest of the game.

Veedrock rushed at the borderline with a wide grin on his face. The Gentlemen assumed defensive positions and waited to respond. As he neared the court divider, Veedrock hurled his arm forward with all his might. However, he did not release the ball at The Gentlemen. He carried out his swing and threw the ball hard into the ground. The ball nearly flattened, and then rebounded straight up into Veedrock's gut, launching him high above the court. The Gentlemen followed his ascent, completely unsure of what he was up to. Veedrock eyed each of his opponents and found his target. Giving out a large yell, he chucked his ball towards aamto. He grinned and spread his arms out while laughing, expecting to catch the ball with ease. aamto's eyes bulged and he doubled over. Another ball had planted itself in his crotch. From the other side of the court Annhilator Zero appeared to have just pitched his ball like a baseball; the drive behind the throw was phenomenal. Veedrock's ball smashed aamto in the face. He rolled backwards multiple times until crashing into some recording equipment used to film the match. Veedrock landed beside Annhilator Zero and gave him a thumbs up with a large grin. Annhilator Zero nodded in response, keeping his expression indifferent.

Chris is me and Katherine touched their balls together. In unison they yelled "FOR COCK!" Seven Deadly Sins put his face in his palm. They then proceeded to approach The Gentlemen in rapid haste, putting them in a defensive stand once more. The two QuickSilver players spun in opposite directions, bringing their balls around in wide arcs to gain momentum. As each of them came around they picked their target. The Gentlemen prepared, not willing to be caught off guard again. Chris is me threw his ball at Katherine and Katherine at Chris is me. Each of them caught the balls and spun around again. This act confused The Gentlemen. dak, irritated at the uncertainty of things to come, chucked his ball at Chris is me without second thought. Katherine noticed dak's vulnerability and heaved a ball at him. Chris is me was dizzy from all the spinning and threw randomly; the target was CaptKirby. CaptKirby was feeling quite nauseous from watching Team QuickSilver's spinning act and as such was wide open to a hit. As Chris is me was hit, he staggered across the his team's side of the court, acting out a dramatic death. UDC officials came onto the court and dragged him off against his will so the game could resume. dak limped off of The Gentlemen's half after taking his blow; Katherine's throw wasn't too devastating, leaving him intact for the most part. Chris is me's ball hit CaptKirby straight in the gut, causing him to throw up all over the place because of his nausea. The crowd made noises of disgust and everybody turned away. Even The Gentlemen could not bare to look. UDC officials escorted CaptKirby away from the court while others worked to clean it up against their will.

Team QuickSilver celebrates as Turn 3 comes to a close.

BUT WAIT!

UDC officials counted the balls on the court once again. One ball was missing. They looked around in confusion. The Gentlemen laughed as Team QuickSilver glanced around, distraught about the situation. Things were not looking good; CaptKirby's creeper ball had vanished and was on the loose. His final words concerning his goal for the game flashed in their minds. Annhilator Zero panicked, afraid and almost certain he was the target. They all got back to back in a circle, watching every angle. Then it appeared, almost out of nowhere, travelling faster than anybody could imagine. CaptKirby's secret technique was ready to even the odds, and it was directed at Veedrock. He turned and shoved his comrades away in attempt to save them. The ball hit Veedrock hard, and then it reacted violently.

The explosion didn't seem to affect anybody or anything. Everybody from the rest of Team QuickSilver to The Gentlemen to the audience was unburned and otherwise unharmed; the building was even intact. However, Veedrock was nowhere to be found; CaptKirby did his deed, eliminating Veedrock from the game. Having satisfied his goal, he exits the game with no regret and only a smug smile across his face. As Team QuickSilver stands around where Veedrock had stood before, they vow to avenge him. They turn to face The Gentlemen, ready for Turn 4. Team QuickSilver has the player advantage, while The Gentlemen have the ball advantage.

Final Round - Turn 4:

Tension was high in the stadium, the crowd had cunningly noticed that team Quicksilver had two men, compared to the Gentlemen's three. This dimwitted crowd began to cheer for this team, who, with their man advantage, were sure to win.

But how, this commentator asks you, how can you win... when you don't have any balls? It's like an army without guns, its like an owl without a beak, its like Ash without Pikachu. It just doesn't work.

Team Quicksilver had a less than impressive two balls on their side. Two balls between three, apparently, men? That doesn't sound good.

Using ball-collecting skills which have been fine-tuned after years of practice Seven Deadly Sins picked up the nearest ball and announced, "My turn!" His turn to do what? Seven Deadly Sins foolishly failed to specify, so this commentator will assume it is his turn to suck Annhialator (what the fuck kind of spelling is this) Zero's dick.

As Seven Deadly Sins got on his knees and began exercising his jaw this commentator could not help but stare in disgust. AvatarST felt a same level of disgust, as he picked up a ball. AvatarST is a well-known raging homophobe, and hate burned in his eyes as he glared at Seven Deadly Sins, who had just brought Annhialator Zero to climax.

Gays had degenerated the once respected land of Argentina into a limbo-dancing, cocktail drinking 24/7 (BAN ME PLEASE) party, and AvatarST had long ago sworn revenge. Tonight is his night.
