Life Orb Drilbur will OHKO nearly all of the time with a +2 X-Scissor and Eviolite versions will OHKO most of the time with a +2 X-Scissor after Stealth Rock. This is max/max+ Shroomish with Eviolite.

Furthermore it struggles to switch into Earthquake on Life Orb Variants at all, as then X-Scissor can KO most of the time. This is more relevant as Swords Dance sets very rarely run X-Scissor.

Also, I think we need to clarify whether we beat SubRoost Krow or not. I think the problem right now is no one can agree whether or not our Lileep set actually beats SubRoost, personally I think it does, but I'd like some other opinions...

if we run a bold nature and giga drain i say it wins! otherwise you end up killing its sub but not killing the murkrow. which is good enough as far as im concerned but still

LO SubRoost 2HKOes, and Eviolite SubRoost should win when played correctly (especially with hail support). Then again SubRoost is a really hard set to deal with in general; even Bronzor can't win in the right circumstances.

im just wondering if the current lileep breaks eviolite subkrow's subs with giga drain/energy ball, i think we should make it so it does otherwise subkrow trolls lileep, if it breaks subkrows subs then subkrow cant substall+BB/DP lileep to death. If it breaks murkrows subs it should beat it pretty easily, energy ball the sub, it attacks, energy ball the sub as after it makes another and break it. kKeep doing this untill it doesnt have enough for sub or roosts in which case it dies or ends up taking 50% or more from energy ball and gets stuck in a roost cycle. Such EVs may be stupid but i dont know, if it doesnt take much i say we do it.

So let's vote on it? Tirtouga > Ponyta? Or leave the team as is? Due to waning interest and the new metagame, I think this will be the last vote before we write up an RMT. We'll do a BW2 CCAT soon. Bold your vote.

Tirtouga

I don't think we have Snover issues, to be frank. We have two Pokemon with STAB super effective priority, Stealth Rock, and individual resistances to Ice and Grass. Misdreavus can also live a hit. It'll be a bit trickier, yes, but it definitely won't be "unstoppable." It can't switch in on Croagunk or Timburr, for fear of Vacuum Wave or Mach Punch, Tirtouga has Rock Slide, Misdreavus has HP Fighting, Axew can Protect to scout what it locks itself into, and hell even Lileep has HP Rock. I don't see Snover issues at all.

Im for ponyta because of its ability to safely switch into any of snovers common attacks, to be quite frank i dont think timbur will like eating a blizzard on the switch(i also doubt mach punch OHKOs), probably neither with croagunk, tirtouga will no doubt die to a giga drain. If its not scarfed it could cause even bigger problems with its ability to freely switch attacks and would do a number on the team with some careful play around missdrevous.

Timburr:

Drain Punch: 26-32 (118.18 - 145.45%)
Mach Punch: 14-18 (63.63 - 81.81%)
Blizzard: 9-12 (36 - 48%)

Croagunk:

Fake Out: 4-5 (18.18 - 22.72%)
Vacuum Wave: 14-18 (63.63 - 81.81%)
Drain Punch: 20-26 (90.9 - 118.18%)
Blizzard: 12-15 (50 - 62.5%)

With the healing that Drain Punch provides, Snover isn't going to kill Croagunk or Timburr that quickly. Simply keeping Stealth Rock up will mean that Snover will not be able to deal much damage to this team. Ponyta, frankly, is overkill.

Please run your calcs before saying things like that. :/

Regardless, you're hitting something with Drain Punch, which will allow you to recover off the damage from Blizzard. If they have a Ghost-type, just Payback instead.

we seem to be interpreting different scenarios so never mind

Tirtouga > Ponyta! It has been done.

Now what set? I personally dislike the one that Sir posted just because Aqua Jet hits like a little bitch, so what do the masses have to say about that? For reference:

Thank you everyone for all of the work you have put into finishing this team! It took a long time, but I think we as a community did a very good job! Waning interest and the fact that this team is for an outdated metagame, unfortunately, pushes me to not want to bother making an RMT lol...so I'm not going to.

After a while, never fret...we'll be doing a CCAT for BW2! I'll host it once again, but it will be in a whileeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. We'll be doing things a bit differently for that one, so hopefully it stays interesting! Thanks everybody!

Was a great way to end BW1 LC =).
