With all the "competitive" aspects of our prevos now complete, its time to move on to the fun that is dex entries. Of course, there are a few rules:
  • Pokedex entries are 1-3 short, simple sentences.
  • Pokedex entries must be submitted as a Final Submission to be considered in the poll. You should make this absolutely clear so that the Topic Leader knows that it is your Final Submission.
  • Provide a Pokedex entry for Pokemon Black, Pokemon White, and a combined entry for Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2, as well as a species name. This means that you need to submit three Pokedex entries, not just one. Usually, the Black and White entries complement the ideas of the other, but address different sides of the same coin, while the combined third entry combines the two ideas in some fashion. Check some in-game BW Pokedex entries for examples.
  • You may ask for advice, but bumping of any kind is not allowed. If people don't comment on your Pokedex entry, let the silence be your advice. You can revise it and repost it, but please don't ask for help in the thread.
  • Keep entries in good taste. If it happens on Animal Planet or in National Geographic it's fair game, but gratuitously violent or excessively disgusting entries will be warned and deleted.
  • One submission per user. You can submit entries for both Pokemon if you want, but if so, they should both be in the same final submission post. Like with names, even if you submit for both Pokemon, the entry sets will be voted on separately.
  • Make sure you specifiy which of our two prevos your dex entries are for in your final submission. Since we are making dex entries for two Pokemon in one thread, it is imperitive that you let people know which one you are talking about when suggesting a name for it. When it comes to final submissions, if you fail to specify which stage your entry is for, it will not make it the poll. This should not be that hard now that we have names, so just do it.
And that is about it. Make sure you read over the rules. As was the case with names, a few changes were made from normal dex rules to account for the fact that we are dealing with more than one Pokemon. Anyways, I present you with a reference Aurumoth. Now lets get to it.

Cupra, the Copper Specie Pokémon

Black: They are normally withdrawn, but strong trainers are seen to attract curious Cupra from trees.

White: It lives in the hollow of a tree. If disturbed, it vibrates its wings and scatters metal flecks.

Black 2/White 2: They are customarily awarded to the best of athletes, a tradition carried over from the past.

Argalis, the Free Silver Pokémon.

Black: Despite its hefty appearance, it is dexterous in manipulating its free shells for utility and combat.

White: When it becomes bored, it stimulates its mind by creating puzzles and carving them into bark.

Black 2/White 2: It is highly intelligent, but it thinks only of itself. Only when it achieves enlightenment does it evolve.

I really like the species names I came up, even if 'Free Silver' is a bit of a history joke. Ah, if only Aurumoth had 'gold cross' somewhere in its entries. Well, specie refers to coins while resembling the term for a specific group of organisms, while Free Silver correlates with Gold Standard in using metals as a basis for currency (I wanted to put somewhere that only one in sixteen Argalis evolve into Aurumoth, but I never found a place for it). The relationship of metals applies to, well, medals. BW2's entry is a sidelong description of such.

I'm much more content with the Argalis entries, since they revolve around similar themes while adding something different in each one, as pokedex entries should be. :P The fact that Argalis is intelligent is the main theme, using its intelligence in various ways. There's also the inclusion of enlightenment and detachment from selfish and worldly concerns, if we want to relate the pre-evolutions to the angelic Aurumoth.

Cupra, the Copper Larva Pokemon
Black: Due to it's shy demeanor, it prefers to watch others from a distance. It makes little effort to flee if discovered.
White: It's stare is mildly hypnotizing. However, if it stares for too long, it can be hypnotized itself.
Black 2/White 2: Due to the value of it's wings, it has become uncommon. It will take a long time for it to trust others.

Argalis, the Silver Lining Pokemon
Black: It's occasionally found buried deep underground, due to being dormant for a long time. People will try to dig one up and get rich quick.
White: It's wings usually disintegrate about a day after being shed. They sometimes last for much longer.
Black 2/White 2: This Pokemon's wings can be used for a wide variety of purposes. Unfortunately, it's notoriously good at hiding.

Might as well try this out. I mainly used ideas from Auramoth's PokeDex entries for these.
Also, first major contribution to the site. Hooray.

Cupra, the Copper Specie Pokemon

Black: The wings of a Cupra shine in moonlight. Trainers use them to traverse through thick forests.
White: When frightened, they hide underneath their wings. Due to this, trainers often mistake Cupra for fallen acorn shells.
Black 2/White 2: Whilst capturing a Cupra gives great luck, it can also make the trainer seem extremely obsessive.

Argalis, the Free Silver Pokemon.

Black:
Argalis fends off any attack with its robust shields. Its strength and aggression is unnerving.
White: If in need of help, it emits a loud tinny sound. This alerts fellow Argalis to its whereabouts.
Black 2/White 2: It sheds strands of its delicate fur when travelling. These strands are then sold in total secrecy.

-----------

I feel the pokedex entries are pretty self-explanatory, but I'll explain anyway:

Cupra's Black and White entries explore the many uses of Cupra's wings, alongside trainer interaction. It also shows the cute aspect of Cupra, which I think is needed in the Pokedex submissons. The Black 2/White 2 entry links to the previous two by including the trainer's interaction with Cupra, but also subtly hints one of Aurumoth's pokedex entries, "Looking an Aurumoth in the eyes causes temporary memory loss. Most trainers release them out of frustration."

Argalis' Black and White entries keep to a theme of how it responds to predators. It shows two sides of Argalis, one of aggression and one of teamwork. The Black 2/White 2 entry links to the idea of currency which is used in Aurumoth's "Gold Standard" species name.

Also, a huge thanks to Quanyails for letting me use her species names :)

Cupra, the Copper Shield Pokemon.

Black: It's shell is valued highly among craftsmen, but shrivels when off the Cupra's body unless it is worked immediately.
White: It's copper shell camouflages it when hiding on tree bark. It is a rare skill to be able to spot them.
Black 2/White 2: They are very timid creatures, and only come out of hiding to eat due to the danger leaving its tree poses.

Argalis, the Silver Ward Pokemon.

Black: While its shell is extremely rare and valuable, not many attempt to take it due to the danger of enraging the Argalis.
White: It spends all its time meditating in an attempt to reach enlightenment. It protects itself with barriers projected from its mind.
Black 2/White 2: It's mind is very unbalanced with the power it gains from evolving. It will only evolve by calming it's mind and body. Without other influences, this takes several decades.

Final Submission

Cupra, the Copper Eye Pokemon.

Black: Its playful nature leads it to spy on people, but it flees if spotted.
White: It climbs trees to survey the forests in which it lives. It finds doing so enjoyable.
Black 2/White 2: To even be able to glimpse Cupra, a Trainer must spot its luminous eyes at night.

Argalis, the Silver Seer Pokemon.

Black: It selflessly protects the forest it calls home using its dexterous shell pieces. However, its shell is a target of poachers.
White: Its mind is torn as a result of both its carefree childhood memories and habits and its growing sense of right and wrong.
Black 2/White 2: It observes everything that happens around it, usually without being seen itself.

These Dex entries build on the Keen Eye/CompoundEyes aspects of the prevos.

Cupra, the Copper Larva Pokemon
Black: Due to its shyness, it prefers to watch others from a distance. If discovered, it will flee.
White: It's said to never blink. Its luminous eyes are startling to see at night.
Black 2/White 2: Due to the value of its wings, it has become uncommon. It takes time for it to trust others.

Argalis, the Silver Lining Pokemon
Black: It's occasionally found buried underground, due to sleeping extensively. People will try to dig one up and sell it.
White: Its wings break off when they're too damaged. After a day, they usually disintegrate.
Black 2/White 2: This Pokemon's shed wings, when melted down, can be forged into durable jewelry. However, it can hide notoriously well.

Fixed some things in the PokeDex entries, including punctuation errors and sentence lengths.

FINAL SUBMISSION

Cupra

Copper Larva Pokémon

Black: Its shell used to be considered one of the most sacred elements in some past civilizations. Due to this, they were often glorified.

White: Looking right into Cupra's eyes can put someone a bit sleepy, it's believed that this is Cupra's way of hunting its smaller preys.

Black 2/White 2: Its shell is incredibly valuable, but most people attempt to evolve it to Aurumoth to sell it, once it becomes its wings. This always backfires, as it's not possible to get the latter's shell.

Argalis

Solid Cocoon Pokémon

Black: Argalis' shell is made of the hardest silver known of. It's been discovered that this is caused by its psychic powers, which help forge it even more.

White: There are urban stories involving Argalis and the Illusions they can create to make children go missing in forests.

Black 2/White 2: Argalis is known to cut trees down and put obstacles in forests only to confuse trainers.

Best of luck to the other entrants.

Final Submission
Cupra, the Bronze Larva Pokémon.
Black: It is born without a shell, and as such goes into hiding until fully developed. They are very rare in the wild.
White: This Pokémon can be found underground burrowing for elements. Its complex metabolism breaks nutrients into copper.
Black 2/White 2: Industrialization by humans has caused a lack of copper where this creature burrows, causing its shell to become weaker with time.

Argalis, the Silver Cocoon Pokémon.
Black: Ancient people revered Argalis as a deity due to the usefulness of its shell in technology. It sheds the pure silver shell from time to time.
White: This Pokémon's shell is often sought after by jewelers. It sheds its shell, which helps to cut down on poaching.
Black 2/White 2: Its shining shell is not seen until after evolution. No one knows whether the shell is formed during evolution, or if it actually causes evolution.

Final Submission!

Cupra, the Bronze Beetle Pokemon

Black: It allows humans to freely touch its shell. It is unaware its shell is very valuable.
White: It lives in the hollows of trees. Trees in which Cupra have lived contain copper residue.
Black/White 2: Poachers hunting for its shell find it within trees. Its eyes make most poachers uneasy.

Argalis, the Silver Shell Pokemon

Black: Argalis enjoy tormenting poachers searching for its Cupra brethren.
White: Argalis are intelligent but antisocial. They despise anyone not deemed their equal.
Black/White 2: For entertainment, they often bother less intelligent Pokemon by staring ominously.
