  • What about Analytic Slowking? Makes sense flavor-wise and gives slowking a 30% to power as it will almost always be going last.

slowking loves regen.. this wouldn't help

Slowking didn't have regenerator in gens 2 - 4 and it was UU in all three of them. But, Analytic makes it much more powerful and gives it a niche over Slowbro, while it still has Slack Off for recovery. Don't just dismiss it for losing Regenerator, it would be strong with Analytic.
Hey alexwolf! What are your thoughts on Deoxys-D and Deoxys-S being suspected?
    alexwolf
    alexwolf
I think both are very deserving suspects, and i would 100% ban Deo-D, not sure about Deo-S.
Thanks for adding Char-Y to the conclusion reached list... The forum couldn't go five pages without someone mentioning how its fire blast was a nuke or how it deserved S rank.
sorry about that m-zard y post I was typing it and posted it after I saw your message :)

    I know, don't worry :D
I found a way that will sure as hell give Blissey use over Chansey, not sure if it's too strong though :/
PARENTAL BOND BLISSEY!!! Counter and Seismic Toss hit for full damage both hits. She also has charge beam so although her SpA stat still seems ordinary at +2, she hits freaking twice each turn! One last thing... Copycat?!?!?!

    alexwolf
Will consider it, thx, though 200 damage S-Toss could be a bit too much.

On second though, i have to say no. Blissey 2HKOes most of the meta with S-Toss, and fucks up any Ghost-type with Charge Beam + Flamethrower / Fire Blast. This is just ridiculous when you consider that she is a wall or special tank.

yeah I didn't really think that threw did I xD. It seemed nice at the time :P
I was looking to find a good Drought user for you, the only one that makes good sense is Bellossom (Bellossom's dance is thought to be a ritual to summon the sun), which is still pretty meh I think. Mind you it has usable(?) bulk and gets boosts on Solar Beam and Synthesis. Though I'd rather a grass type that can abuse these moves as well as weather ball for great coverage.

While I was looking into all that sun and heat and stuff though I thought of Flare Boost on either Sceptile or Heliolisk. This gives the two the SpA boost they've needed and either good prove to be a deadly sweeper thanks to their great speed tiers. I think it makes sense because they are cool blooded so they absorb energy from heat. Flavor is better on Heliolisk as he gets SolarPower.
I was thinking of creating a "Move of the week" thread, would this be alowed or is has it already been Done? Also would this be a good in ure opinion as i was thinking that we would take the move and then come up with different sets and new users/underated users.

Start a conversation with me and the other OU mods, and post the OP of the thread you want to make.

    Ok thx
I've started playing in OU again and would like to restate a couple old suggestions and one new one.
Firstly I'm sick of Mega-Zard Y and Mega-Ttar running rampart. I think its time for a powerful Drizzle user. Hence restating Drizzle Pelipper / Vaporeon / Tornadus-I.

I believe that is how it works, so Meloetta will have the freedom to either stay in or leave while the other pokemon will have to either bugger out after a couple turns or drop dead.

Hey, just read this, and yeah, Perish Song impacts the user but not the Soundproof Pokemon :)

Soundproof Meloetta sounds incredibly unique, I like it a lot

I'm not sure if you'd rather me PM you about this, but where would I go to/who would I contact to suggest a suspect test be carried out for a currently Uber mon that I believe should be allowed back in OU?

To the OU council, namely Aldaron, Haunter, Nachcos, McMeghan, M Dragon.

Yeah, i was in a hurry... We will talk today, dw.
As a machine, I think Magnezone should get Levitate. It helps it get better, as ground immunity without using an item slot. This allows specs magnezone to become more viable, and would help boost it's usage.

Psychic/Normal Porygon-Z is scary, but it would be OU, probs... It IS a machine cyber thingy and well, psychic works for it with adaptability.
I have a suggestion for theorymon, how about Recover Swampert. First of all it wouldn't be weird since other Water Ground Pokemon like Quagsire also get it. Battle wise one of the reasons Swampert fell out of OU is because of him lack of recovery options but Recover fixes that. In battle he could play similar to old Skarmory in set up hazards, phaze everything and Recover when needed.
I'm still thinking Flash Fire Forretress could be very useful. I don't mean any disrespect, honestly, but it's probably more useful than Scrappy.
    Dilasc
I mean, sure it still doesn't have recovery, meaning it might need wish support, but it should still be able to safely avoid a lot more OHKOs from physical attackers as it safely comes in and puts hazards in their face or spins them away.
    Okay lets see.

    List of past suggestions made:

    Solid Rock Regirock, Technician Abomasnow.

Now here is a suggestion that's new: Strong Jaw Krookodile. The Crocodile has one of the strongest jaws on the planet, and this by itself can help Krookodile fix its middling attack power and allow it to better combat its opponents and break through its old foes a bit better.
Mold Breaker Hydreigon? It has the correct movepool to abuse this. Earth Power for Rotom-W, Fire Blast and Flamethrower for Mega Venusaur, it can also break through Dragonite's Multiscale. 'This scary, three-headed Pokémon devours everything in its path!' It probably breaks the mold in this process too!
Aeroblast Tornadus. Not sure if Tornadus-T's placement makes this invalid, but it gives Tornadus some badly needed consistency. If Entei gets Sacred Fire and moves up in viability as a result, then Tornadus should get Lugia's signature move as well.
I know it sounds a bit weird, but either Contrary or Spore Virizion.

With Contrary, spam SP for a Bulk up to patch up low Atk and Def for a defensive tank. Spore is... well, 108 Speed, can't argue with that. It also has great stats at 580 BST.
I figure if you really need those two taken out, Shadow Claw could be a decent option on a Spiky Shield/Leech Seed/Hammer Arm set, replacing Synthesis. Only thing is, I can't really think what else Shadow Ball would handle. Alakazam switch-ins? Azelf? Yeah, mons it has no place even thinking about.

Whaddya think I mean, if Poison Jab has a mention, I figure Shadow Claw could work?
    alexwolf
    alexwolf
Not really. Earthquake is a way better option against Aegislash, and you don't want to mess with Gengar anyway, which always carries either WoW or Sludge Wave, both of which fuck up Chesnaught. Shadow Claw is useless.
    sims796
Thank you for the reply. It was explained to me earlier by another poster why it isn't such a great option. Still, he is at least able to reliably able to use his other vast options, so all isn't lost there.
After having a few matches, I've learned that Chesnaught without Roar has a tougher time checking Aegislash (still very much doable with Leech Seed, but more difficult if Aegislash decides to continue to SD up), and while Gengar without Dazzling Gleam/Psychic/Sludge Wave can't actually do anything to Chesnaught, if it gets a sub up, well, Chesnaught (again, w/o Roar) can't do much back.
alexwolf, I was looking at Chesnaught's analysis page, and I was wondering; what is your opinion of having Shadow Claw as an alternate (abet not entirely recommended) option?
Pixilate Gardevoir. This sounds very odd, doesn't it? Why not use the Mega Evolution, a few key reasons: 1.) Gardevoir can hold items, and 2.) it frees up a Mega slot. With life Orb, Gardevoir actually has a higher Special Attack than Mega Gardevoir, and Choice Specs Gardevoir would be insane. Choice Scarf also makes for a decent revenge killer.
    skies
    skies
While Mega Gardevoir looks better and lacks recoil from Life Orb, regular Gardevoir is more powerful and frees up a mega slot!
How about regenerator Gorebyss?Useful for quick pass, set up shell smash take damage,Baton pass coz speed and get HP Back
One new idea: Sand Stream Regirock.
On the physical side, it has 80/200(!) bulk. On the special side, with this change, it has sandstorm-boosted 80/100 bulk. Unlike Ttar, it doesn't have a 4x fighting weakness, or any 4x weakness at all. It lacks a 50% HP recovery move, but that might be for the best.
    Minnakht
Also, may I ask some other people posting ideas on my previous idea of Trick Room Granbull? It might've already been rejected because it was bad, so I'd just like to hear a short comment about it.
    alexwolf
    alexwolf
It's just bad because of average stats for OU.
