  • Well, here's what I want done with Hariyama and how you should post in QC.
    - rewrite Overview
    - Physical Tank is fine (just c/p from onsite) (remove mentions of Pinsir and Charizard and replace them with something relevant. Also add Chansey next to Clefable mentions.)
    - Add Special Tank (why the fuck isn't there one?)
    - Attacking Lead is fine (just c/p from onsite)
    - Rewrite CB
    - Rewrite RestTalk
    - Rewrite SubPunch
    - rewrite Team Options
    - rewrite OC
    - rewrite Counters
lol so, I already had fixed it when I uploaded it. I don't do my "Mod check" until I'm actually uploading it into the cache. So, I guess I didn't have to do anything. :)
Well I suppose so.... if you really are going to make me... yeah no problem.
Hey, Eon, got your VM. I'd gladly test the set! What is it?

(I wouldn't get much time to test, either, but I'll take a look at it--it's pretty hard to get an Gen 4 UU battle nowadays, and 5-6 consecutive games a day are only possible against teams you know to the core aka when I'm playing against my friend group)
Hey Eon, how's the Shiftry Anti-lead write-up coming? Just checking, seeing as how I'm done with the full analysis, and I think it'd just be easier to upload the whole thing at once. :)
Ahaha, I didn't even think of that.

You know, I was so proud of myself for making that. I thought it was hilarious, and yet not a single person ever said anything about it to me. So disappointing.
Fire-Electric Rotom would make the perfect Scizor switch-in, with 4x resistance to Bullet Punch. And he's already a great Scizor check as it is. He's not going to appreciate the new water and rock weaknesses, though...

That all seems so long ago.
It sure is, that Ghost-Electric typing in conjunction with Levitate is so damn useful.

Well, I actually popped in a few weeks ago to say hi. Before that, goodness, probably about ten months or so. It's bizarre to think I left a legacy there, and that people still talk about me.
What I'm looking forward to most is a Flame Orb Swellow sweep, haha. And man, is Rotom useful. Spin blockan, charge beaman, will-o-wispan, substitutan. He's a tank, a sweeper, and a great defensive pivot.

    Months since what?
I love the original plan. It's working to great success on Shoddy. All the other Pokemon I trained are for trolling the less experienced players ;). Oh, and the idiot is using Ninjask to Baton Pass to Scizor. At least, that's what he did in a battle of his I was watching.
    All right, sounds good.

I'm just about done training now. I have a good 14 Pokemon I could possibly use, including the ones you recommended me. Lead Roserade, attacking Weavile, Lead Machamp, Charge Beam Rotom-H, LO Jolteon, Blissey, Skarmory, Subpunch Breloom, Rapid Spin Starmie, both physically and specially based Infernape, your Jirachi, Tank Swampert, Bulky DDnite... I think that's it. Off the top of your head, what other combinations can I work with here? (I'm not limited to using the same team throughtout the tournament).

I know for a fact that two of the people are using SkarmBliss in the tournament. One is using a Ninjask lead, hence Weavile's name on the list. The other is going full-out cookie cutter: SkarmBliss, ScarfTran, Scizor, Starmie, and I forget the last.
    Happy birthday to me~

Also, turns out my copy of Soul Silver was on top of my wardrobe. '-_- Now I can go back to getting my ass kicked in the Battle Factory, at least.
So the Jirachi I have from the Gamestop event way back when is Lax (+Def -Sp Def). What should I do with it? IV's are decent, all within the 24-30 range.
That was the other way I was thinking (but the VM has a 1000 word limit) and I got lazy to type another post.

Well, if the other sets suck so much, I think your way is the way to go then.
Are you going to turn your current analysis into a Glalie revamp? That would be great if you could do that. Choice Band and Choice Specs can probably just be thrown out (Choice Band Explosion may be good though, so maybe you could test that out, but that's the only niche of using it). Toxic Stall looks bad because Walrein does that better, lol. I personally think your Spikes lead will basically overshadow this "bulky lead" that isn't even that bulky to begin with so you can remove that.

However, this will then turn into Quality Control as they need to make sure that this is the right thing or not.

Well, my advice would be to leave out the Overview, Team Options, Optional Changes, and Counters sections and just put out the set itself. If you feel like you want to revamp Glalie, then you can make a separate thread for it. You probably don't even have to write a set there because that Lead Glalie will probably be the only viable set Glalie has unless testing other sets proves otherwise.
Yes. So I'll experiment with Infernape for the time being.

Okay, I'll make the modification on Jirachi. I thought he could use some more offensive prowess anyway.

Interesting. At any rate, it's at the point where I'll only use Charge Beam if I know it would KO Gengar anyway. That way, I'm guaranteed a free Charge Beam without taking any damage.
You can remove the EVs section because it turns out to be redundant when the EVs can be explained in the set.
Blissey is only a problem when Skarmory is there as well. I frequently have Blissey switch into Jolteon, and Skarmory switch-ins to Dragonite. Which, of course, makes me have to switch them out. I have to play a lot of mental gymnastics to get around SkarmBliss, which wouldn't be so bad if I had a mixed attacker.

For now I'm running U-turn/Wish/Iron Head/Body Slam with an Impish nature. Whichever one that is.

A funny thing I've noticed is that no one ever switches Gengar out when I send in Jolteon. I use Charge Beam, expecting them to switch Gengar out for fear of Shadow Ball, only to have Gengar stay in and try to attack. It's the darndest thing.

By the way, how was your birthday?
Oh, alright. Good luck on that!

If you manage no progress in, say, a month or two, you know the emergency exit button.
If you don't think it's viable anymore, perhaps you can PM a moderator (Rising_Dusk, Colonel_M, or Eo Ut Mortus work) to lock it up and move it to Locked and Outdated if you feel that way.
So I've been playtesting the team on Shoddy to relatively decent success. One modification I made was to change Swampert for a physically-based mixed Infernape. I needed a wallbreaker to get around SkarmBliss, as Jolteon and Dragonite were my offensive core and were easily walled by players who had SkarmBliss or some variant of it. Infernape is the closest thing I could get to a SkarmBliss counter. I kind of miss Stealth Rock, but other than that I never found myself using Swampert very often. I may end up using him again, simply because Roar is so useful against Pokemon that set up.
Hi, are you still working on your Glalie Lead analysis? I understand if you're busy.
