Dr. Ciel is an astounding team rater and has a vast amount of knowledge on the OU metagame, so she's a great addition to the group! To tell you the truth, I'm glad that we're starting to attract more knowledgeable members to our group that will contribute more positive aspects to our discussions. Yes, definitely.

Knowledgeable? I've written down every Possible Moveset of every single Pokemon I've seen in OU. I also write some Pokemon essays, (my last one being on how Weather effects the metagame). So yeah, you can consider me knowledgeable.

About Myself - Well, I've been playing Pokemon ever since I got the Japanese Version of Green in 1995 (I still have it, which I am proud of), I own all the main series games, spin-offs, and I have beaten them all in order, an accomplishment I am very proud of. As for competitive battling, I started on Netbattle, on which I was an Admin, and stayed there until it crashed and burned. I started lurking the Smogon site for about the entirety of the DPP Era, falling in love with Lucario, whom is now my favourite Pokemon ever. Then in early 2011, I joined Pokemon Online, where I honed my skills (mainly in OU) for about a year or so, and was a consistently good battler, hovering around 1450 - 1700 range for the longest time, before I got unceremoniusly banned (On the main server). After a while, I joined the Smogon Server, where I played through nearly every ban up to now (Darkrai, Skymin, Thundurus, Blaziken, you get the picture). When Smogon moved to PS, I went along with them and applied my previous skill here, climbing the ladder quite quickly, and this is where I am now.

Experiences On Smogon - I usually lurk the Rate My Team Forum, rating teams consistently, with great quality and quantity. I'm hoping to get my badge back, by sharpening my rating skills.

Why I Want To Join - I would love to meet new people, give some advice, and have a good time in general.

Yeah, but an exception can only be made to that particular pokemon, however, like you said, complication have alot to do with why a pokemon is banned. Swift swim as a whole is broken with drizzle, while speed boost is only broken on blaziken, which is why it is banned. Thx for explaining that.

True. If pokemon such as manphy and tornadus-t were overpowered because of it, banning them one at a time isn't going to solve anything; it just makes the proccess longer. They banned swift swim, they've banned manphy etc, but the real problem isn't that they are overpowered BY THEMSELVES, but because of rain.

Also, I saw this arguement that says that people get slated for asking if blaze blaziken could be allowed in OU, when we did the exact same thing with Swift swim. It was a pretty neat arguement, considering that blazekin is broken just because of speed boost.

I'm seeing a huge debate in the BW2 general metagame disscussion thread. Many people are arguing if drizzle is banworthy, or isn't ban worthy. Personally, I think its ban worthy because stuff like manphy, and tornadus-t were banned because of it.

What are you're thoughts?

In OU, I do have a sun team that has a good winning streak.

About me- I am a video game collector (Wii U, PS3, 3DS/DS, GameBoy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, GameCube) I am usually on my computer/ playing my video games for a while everyday.
Experiences on Smogon- I was learning slowly at first, but now I have the biggest group on Smogon passed down to me by a good friend, and I own another group that isn't doing to bad.
Why I want to join- To have fun, and meet new people

I have never seen any of your discussions

I am not a very good team builder. When I am battling I usually use serebeii to remind myself of the type matchups and stat spreads while I am battling.
I try to battle about 5-6 nights a week for a couple of hours. But to be honest, I am not good at team strategy, I always usethe same base team and fiddle around with the supporting pokes.

OH and I tried to help you create your social group (see below)

1)I am 46 years old, a husband and father of a 9 year old son and 13 year old daughter. I am bald, and an accountant. I have a goofy sense of humor. I prefer to battle wifi, but I also do showdown. I like little cup, triples, GBU singles, and OU in that order.
I have been on Smogon about 17 months and I have a had a social group or two
DH encouraged me to join and he is a good friend.
