I keep dealing with a bunch of randoms saying "TOGEKISS IS OU CHEATER."

well.. which is it?
In the latest usage stats, Togekiss is 68th in OU at 2.3205. I'm also fairly certain it wasn't OU in whatever usage stats currently assign tiering. Those people you are playing are just wrong. My guess is that they're looking at the list from D/P and failing to realize it's out of date.

Azu is wonderful, esp on rain teams. I like to max out on attack cos it just hits so hard. The only thing you have to worry about is jellicent.

That's what im saying. Hell.. even in UU it's below the high usage.

Wow!, I don't remember using Mawile THAT much ._.!

I hate how Ubers is full of noobs, I don't play it but everytime that I want to watch an Uber battle there's a Charizard involved (or some starter)

Thanks for the stats!

lol, 5/6th of my team are on the top 10.

Tyranitar, Scizor, Rotom-W, Extradrill, and Latios.

Tells you how poorly designed my teams are.

How is charizard anywhere near the top of Ubers usage anyway?
With that many noobs around, I think I've finally found a tier I'd be decent in...

Also, I can't believe that Garchomp was keeping rain down THAT much. I mean Politoed leaped into the top 5 right when he leaves? I just don't see how he was that big of a deterrent to rain team usage.

Or maybe people finally realized how goddamn powerful rain is, and it's all just a coincidence. Eh, either way I'm not using it; losing consistently is the only obstacle for my current team! Clear Skies for life!

Garchomp was arguably, their best sweeper, if not one of their best. I don't think it was so much sand holding rain down, more or less, it was a combination of more people realizing how good rain in general was, and having one of rain's worst match-ups lose a really threatening poke.

Also consider that the most popular Garchomp set, SubSD, actually caused real issues for rain teams. Behind a Sub, it could easily get up an SD and cripple rain, with the two checks that rain teams could most readily rely on to check it (Thundurus with its HP Ice and Latios with its Dragon Pulse), being heavily wounded or killed in the process of simply breaking its Sub. The steels in rain are still weak to Ground, and Garchomp's general bulk is a large boon to taking a stray hit if it had to.

Gyarados and Slowbro as well. [They resist Waterfall and Superpower, and have the bulk to take a possible Return]

Well, it is the only place you an use Blaziken, so I guess Blaziken dosen't count.

I hope to god that the people using these were noobs and not actual smogonites. That would mean that the standard for smogonites who play Ubers would be about 0. People are using Charmeleon in ubers!

alphatron

Volt turn in every tier! I'm in despair!
Those kinds of teams get shut down quite easily with a Kyogre.

@alphatron: pray tell that was sarcasm lol
Yeah it was sarcasm. And while I may not know too much about ubers, how does Kyogre handle Ho-oh brave bird on those teams?

Brave bird from ho-oh does a crapload to Kyogre (like 70%+) if it gets a sub on a Ferrothorn. Also Blaziken does a similar amount with hi jump kick. Running Palkia works on a sun team, you get a boosted fire blast and have plenty of options to run over surf and thunder. So no, Kyogre actually doesn't shut down sun.

AccidentalGreed

Sweet and bitter as chocolate.

First of all, thanks for the stats and time you put here, RD! This may sound nothing but generic now.

Okay, so what's Espeon doing in Ubers? Granted, it didn't get much usage there compared to authentic Uber Pokemon, but still, the fact that it's right up there is intreaging. I know Espeon is fairly amazing, but...not this amazing.

My theory is that Espeon users value near-unstoppable Screen support for set up sweepers such as Swords Dance Groudon, who's still up there to beat Ferrothorn + Kyogre.

Also Espeon has it's own place in OU. It's amazing, but wow, he actually made it. Props to people for realizing Latias' potential as well.

Well with my experiences in OU it's used as a BP reciever quite often because you can't Phaze it out without Dragon Tail, and while Ubers is technically a different metagame I don't really see it doing much else. After all (assuming a ShellPass) Espeon does 2HKO/OHKO a lot of commonly Uber pokemon.

Dual screens is also great too I guess, but I don't think I've ever seen an espeon that wasn't a BP reciever.

and @IcyMan I can't believe I forgot about literally the only set I've ever seen Garchomp use, now I feel dumb :P

Yea I see now how garchomp would keep people from using rain. I mean it must've been difficult for them to figure out a surefire way to beat the SubSD set.

Hmm, given this month's huge chunks of server downtime, the tier-changing stats will be more reliant on the previous month's usage stats. Then again, June did have some downtime as well.
