If Protective/Evasive move when you would use Hi Jump Kick, Aura sphere and push back
If Earthquake AND you do not have a Substitute up, change that action to Counter
If Incinerate AND you do not have a Substitute up, change that action to Substitute (15 HP)

That's right, I did just protect myself from one of the most gimmicky moves of all time.
